SCP-XXXX

SCP-XXXX prior to containment

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: All roads leading to SCP-XXXX are to be rerouted away from the anomaly. The building, on all legal documents, is owned by a private company called [DATA REDACTED].

Description: SCP-XXXX is a small, two room house located in ██████, █████. From the exterior, SCP-XXXX seems to exhibit no anomalous properties. Inside SCP-XXXX, there are no immediately noticeable anomalies. However, any persons inside will notice mildly inconveniencing things such as lights in SCP-XXXX being too bright or too dim,1 the steps being too tall, or the television being too loud. While most of these are not too out of the ordinary, when there is no one in SCP-XXXX and someone enters,2 SCP-XXXX will change to become what SCP-XXXX-1 dislikes most.
It is noteworthy that anything that changes inside SCP-XXXX will stay relatively the same.3Any items removed from SCP-XXXX do not exhibit any of the anomalous properties unlike inside SCP-XXXX. Items moved into SCP-XXXX are not affected by it's anomalous properties until all persons currently residing in the house leave and one or more come back in.

Testing Log SCP-XXXX-1
Test SCP-XXXX-1A - 04/██/19

Subject: One standard mirror; similar to ones used in bathrooms.
Procedure: Mirror was placed above the sink in SCP-XXXX's bathroom.
Personnel: Male Class-D, aged 39.
Results: Class-D entered bathroom, and found the mirror twenty five centimeters taller than originally placed. The mirror was high enough that the Class-D could only see their hair. Mirror removed afterwards, exhibiting no anomalous properties afterwards.
Analysis: It seems that the items inside SCP-XXXX are not inherently anomalous on their own, but SCP-XXXX causes them to become anomalies during their time inside the anomaly.

Test SCP-XXXX-1B - 04/██/19

Subject: One scented candle.
Procedure: Candle was placed on coffee table and lit.
Personnel: Male Class-D, aged 39.
Results: Class-D entered SCP-XXXX, and complained of an overwhelming smell of vanilla.4 Class-D ordered to put out the candle; the smell of vanilla dissipated after one half hour.
Analysis: Another candle from the same set was lit outside SCP-XXXX, and the smell was reportedly weaker than the one lit inside.
