Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a standard anomalous humanoid containment unit. A standard Scranton Reality Anchor array is to be aimed at SCP-XXXX and activated in the event of a demanifestation incident.
Should the SRA array fail, MTF Tau-21("Set Phasers") is to relocate and recontain SCP-XXXX with the use of five pocket SRAs to force its manifestion.
Description: SCP-XXXX, formerly known as Bennet Zhu, is an incorporeal entity that possesses the physique of a 20 year old humanoid of Asian descent. However, it claims to be 50 due to a halt in its aging progression.
SCP-XXXX is an ex-employee of Prometheus Labs that constantly repels reality at a minimum approximate rate of 9000 Humes per second, a level that would be instantly fatal for most other organisms.
SCP-XXXX utilizes a full-body exosuit which funnels reality through its body, allowing it to visually manifest, though it is unable to physically affect anything besides the suit itself. However, the suit is still capable of manipulating matter, allowing SCP-XXXX to physically interact through it as a proxy and function as a voice box.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX's personal laptop was successfully accessed on 10/25/1998. The following files were extracted:
Log Entry 1: 2/5/1991
| it worked
| it actually worked
| ok ok ok
| this is uh
| log entry one as in the number one Barnaby
| my name is Zhu uh Bennet Zhu
| I'm a junior researcher working for Prometheus Labs Realistics Division or Humetics
| actually I'm not sure if they got that name change through
| nevermind
| this is confirmation that project uh
| Barnaby what's this project number again
| right right project 5394
| that project 5394 is a success
| well uh it'll be a true success if Barnaby can record what I'm saying without me actually talking
| Prometheus said something about monitoring my mouth and tongue to transcribe
| I don't know the details
| anyways uh
| Hume readings are stable at negative
| negative a lot if I'm being honest but they haven't gone over negative 9000 yet so that's
|
| I take that back hume readings have exceeded negative 9000 but I have confirmation on manifestation so I think I'm ok now
| anyways that's it for log entry one god I hope this works
| I'll uh I'll update this log and Barnaby could you back this up to my laptop please
| preferably with the project details attached
| yes I know they're classified just put them in
| thank you
Project Pre-Proposal 5394: Reality Convergence Exosuit
Prometheus Labs, Inc.
1/7/1991
The purpose of this project is to build a functioning reality stabilizer for one Bennet Zhu. Due to his anomalous quality, researcher Zhu repels "reality" from his body at a rate of 20 Humes per second. It has been noted however, that this rate is itself increasing exponentially, currently at an additional 3 Humes per second per day. It is estimated that researcher Zhu will no longer be able to physically manifest after 6 months and will be effectively unusable at such time.
It is in Prometheus Labs best interest that Zhu not demanifest within the next 6 months as his quality could be a valuable asset for Project 3026: Acquisitions.
However, Prometheus Labs does not possess the expertise required to build such a device.
We therefore propose the following plan:
- Set aside a budget of approximately $2,600,000 USD
- Contact Anderson Robotics and offer a sum of no less than $500,000 USD but no more than $1,000,000 USD
- Prepare plans for Project 3026: Acquisitions and its necessary components, the cost of which totals approximately $1,600,000 USD
Log Entry 2: 03/12/1991
| okay this is log entry two as in the number two Barnaby
| I'm being shifted over to a new division
| they call it acquisitions
| they want to use my qualities they say
| apparently having a negative hume reading means I'm immune to other anomalies
| and apparently they've already tested me
|
| thanks Prometheus
| that was sarcasm if you didn't detect that Barnaby
| they say its going to be a small team with other anomalous humans
| also that we're only going to be tasked with getting some anomalous objects here and there
| I can't refuse either
| whoever's in charge has a whole legal team ready to sue over a breach in contract
| and dad's in the hospital again so I need the money
| whatever I'm ending log entry two here
| again back it up to my laptop Barnaby
Log Entry 11: 12/18/1991
| start log entry eleven
| I met the team
| they're a diverse bunch I'll give them that much
| Barnaby start a list for me
| Amy the runaway thaumaturge
| Mark an anomalous magician
| Sean who's a now part-dinosaur war vet
| and Felicia another fellow employee of Prometheus who can tell when you're lying
| Barnaby end that list
| yep
| this group here is gonna hunt down anomalies
|
| our first mission is in a week
| christmas day
|
| that's gonna be it for log eleven Barnaby
| you know the drill

First Meeting: 12/18/1991
Five individuals stand in a line: A large green-scaled man, presumed to be Sean, a woman in a three-piece with a blurry Prometheus Labs nametag, presumed to be Felicia, a man in a black long coat and tricorn, and a woman in a t-shirt and jeans with a feathered stick tucked into her belt.
SCP-XXXX stands slightly to the side with its arms crossed.
First Finished Acquisition: 12/25/1991
The same five individuals stand in a group. SCP-XXXX stands in the center with the others surrounding it. It holds an 18th-century ceremonial sword in its hands. The group appears to have sustained several injuries. The man in the tricorn, presumed to be Mark, leans on the woman with the stick, presumed to be Amy. A large scabbed-over slash can be seen across his chest.
Acquisition 50 Afterparty: 10/19/1992
The five team members are gathered in a lounge area playing a variant of poker. A stack of chips can be seen in front of SCP-XXXX and Mark. Of the other members, the scaled man (presumed to be Sean) appears to be laughing while Amy yells at SCP-XXXX and Mark. Felicia has a hand on her head but is otherwise smiling.
Mark and Amy's Wedding: 7/26/1993
Mark and Amy stand in a small church before SCP-XXXX who is reading from a book. The other two members sit in foldable wooden chairs. Everyone is smiling.

[Begin Log]
Felicia sits on a couch, a young child sleeping in her lap. She strokes the child's hair absentmindedly. SCP-XXXX stands by the couch, leaning against a wall, its arms crossed. A dim lamp lights the room.
Felicia: Thank you for helping me again tonight. I know she can be a bit of a handful at times. Sorry it took so long for her to go to sleep.
SCP-XXXX: Don't worry about it. I know how hard it is, especially after… sorry, I shouldn't have-
Felicia: It's okay. I've… I've had time.
SCP-XXXX: I know how much he meant to you.
The room is silent for several minutes. Felicia looks down at the child and continues stroking her hair.
Felicia: I-I'm going to take her to bed now. Thanks again, Zhu.
SCP-XXXX: Any time, Felicia.
Felicia picks up the child and takes her out of the room. The sound of Felicia whispering can be heard from another room. A door closes followed by soft sobbing. Felicia returns thirty minutes later.
Felicia: Oh! D-Did you… I-I thought you left already…
SCP-XXXX uncrosses its arms and walks up to Felicia. It looks at her for several seconds before embracing her. Felicia appears startled for a moment before beginning to cry. SCP-XXXX slowly guides her to the couch and sits her down. They remain there for approximately an hour before Felicia falls silent.
She separates from SCP-XXXX and dries her tears.
Felicia: Sorry, I… sorry.
SCP-XXXX: I know you are, but you really don't have to be.
Felicia: It's just- I have to be there for Eva now that Roy's… gone. I'm all she has left. How can I be there for her, if I need to be out there just to make ends meet?
SCP-XXXX is silent for several moments.
SCP-XXXX: I'll talk with Harvey. He'll bitch about it for a day or two, but I can get you out. I don't need money, not after… well, not after my dad… left the hospital.
Felicia: Are you suggesting-
SCP-XXXX: You want to accept it, right? Because I'm not accepting a no, Felicia. Like you said, Eva needs you. Losing a parent hurts, hurts in ways that people might not realize. So, you need to be there.
Now I'm heading out. Need to start drafting a very anti-bitch message to a certain chairman.
Stay strong, Felicia.
SCP-XXXX demanifests.

Log Entry 89: 11/5/1993
| it's been about 2 months since I started helping Felicia
| she's recovering better than I did
| maybe it's because of Eva
|
| cute kid
| calls me uncle Benny now
| might be a bit too smart for her age
|
| I talked to Harvey
| took a while but we came to an agreement
| he sure loves his legal threats but he agreed to three more missions
|
| and I'm also going to have to take a lot more solo jobs
|
| besides Felicia
| Mark and Amy are planning their honeymoon soon
| and Sean has his family to worry about
|
|
| so I'll do what I can

Video Entry 118: 12/2/1993
Acquisitions Case 133
Recorded by Beta Autonomous Response Network-AV
Team Members:
Bennet Zhu (Team Lead)
Felicia Johansson
Sean Miller
Mark Castillo
Amy Castillo
[Begin Log]
The team stands before a suburban house. Boards have been put up at the windows and door.
SCP-XXXX: Alright guys, this is the first of Felicia's three, and Eva needs to be fed tonight, so let's not mess it up. We're dealing with Sarkics here, so be prepared for meat, everyone got it?
The other members nod in agreement.
SCP-XXXX: Good, let's do this like we always do.
Sean kicks down the door and the team rushes in with weapons drawn. The house is empty. The team disperses into the house's rooms.
Mark: Kitchen's empty!
Felicia: Living room's clear as well.
Sean: Nothing upstairs!
Amy: I got something down here!
SCP-XXXX: Everyone to the basement.
The team heads downstairs where Amy stands at the base of the stairs. Against the back wall of the room is a large black-framed mirror, spanning approximately 3 meters wide and 2.5 meters tall.
Amy: I'm assuming this is it?
SCP-XXXX closes its eyes and waits for several moments.
SCP-XXXX: Yeah, this is the anomaly in the house. Doesn't look too bad to me. Sean, help me see if we can move this thing.
Sean moves over to the left side of the mirror while SCP-XXXX moves to the right.
SCP-XXXX: Alright Sean, on three. One… Two… Thre- what the fuck is that.
A large, pale humanoid, approximately 3 meters tall, appears in the mirror's surface, seemingly coming down from the stairs, though no such humanoid is present in the room. SCP-XXXX and Miller release the mirror and back away.
Sean: That is one ugly bastard right there… what do we do?
Felicia: Should I call for backup? We don't really know what this thing does.
SCP-XXXX: Mmm, don't think so. We should be fine. We've faced worse. Get ready for a possible fight, everyone.
The team waits for several moments as the humanoid maneuvers around the mirror-basement. It approaches the mirror and reaches a clawed hand towards the mirror. As the hand touches the surface, the arm stretches forward and grabs Felicia.
Sean: Let's fucking go!
Sean immediately grabs the arm as it begins retracting back into the mirror. Despite enhancements to Sean's physique, he is unable to slow the arm and is dragged into the mirror along with Felicia.
SCP-XXXX: Okay then, looks like we're taking the fight to them.
SCP-XXXX, Amy, and Mark run into the mirror, though SCP-XXXX rebounds off the mirror while the other two pass through. Neither seems to notice SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX: What…?
SCP-XXXX pushes against the mirror multiple times but is unable to pass through. It then demanifests and remanifests repeatedly by the mirror, appearing more confused with each reappearance.
SCP-XXXX: Shit! Everyone, get Felicia and get out of there!
Sean: We're trying!
The team continues to combat the creature, but are unable to leave lasting damage on it. SCP-XXXX continues to press its palms against the mirror but nothing happens.
After three minutes of sustained attack, the creature finally releases Felicia and howls. Sean grabs Felicia and throws her towards the mirror as the creature swings its arm in a downwards arc towards the two. Its claws catch Sean's leg and tears into his calves. Sean yells out in pain.
Sean: LEAVE ME! GET OUT OF HERE, YOU FUCKERS!
SCP-XXXX: We're not leaving you, you stupid lizard! I'm not watching another kid lose their dad!
The creature retracts its arm, pulling Sean with it.
Sean: Zhu, you bastard! Don't you fucking dare make this about you!
Felicia looks back at SCP-XXXX, her face covered in blood. SCP-XXXX looks at her for a moment before looking back to Sean, who has now wrapped his body around the creature's body and is repeatedly slashing at it. Shallow cuts begin to appear upon it.
SCP-XXXX: Keep hitting it! I refuse to let Sean die!
The team restarts their attacks on the creature. After three minutes of sustained attacks, the creature collapses in a bloodied heap. Sean lies on the floor, wheezing. The rest of the team breathes heavily and drops to the floor.
Mark: …it's dead, right? We're done… right?
SCP-XXXX: Yeah, y'all are done. Grab Sean and pull him out of there.
The team maneuvers around Sean and begins to heft him back towards the mirror. Due to his weight, the team has to drag his body across the floor, smearing blood. The sound of footsteps above suddenly occur, causing the team to stop.
A second creature's head peers down the mirror-stairs and begins descending. Its eyes focus on the team as it slowly limps down the stairs, its left foot shriveled and disfigured. It hobbles towards the team.
SCP-XXXX: …leave Sean. All of you, get back over here.
Mark: Got it.
Amy: We're not really doing that, are we? We can't just leave him here!
SCP-XXXX: I said leave Sean!
The second creature screeches and scrambles forward on all fours, prompting the team members to turn and run towards the mirror with Felicia in the lead. As the team passes through the mirror, SCP-XXXX pulls back slightly before punching the mirror.
It shatters.

Log Entry 119: 12/10/1993
| I still hear them
| everyday
| I wake up and hear them
| talking
| laughing
| then it's gone
|
|
| I'm not sure what I should do anymore
The following 8 Entry Logs, spread over a year, all contained the same message:
| acquisition complete
Log Entry 131: 11/17/1995
| Prometheus sent a file
|
| about that case
| when they all died
|
| they're still alive
|
| Prometheus rebuilt the mirror
| said they found them hiding out
| hurt
| but alive
| all of them
|
| they're running out of supplies though
| it's too dangerous to go out and find more with those creatures around I suppose
|
| Prometheus says they're going to need more cash
| they don't have the resources to get the mirror fully operational
| and supplies cost money too
| so I have to keep doing what I do
| but I can bring them back
|
| I can help them
The next 92 Entry Logs contained the same message:
| acquisition complete
| one step closer
Log Entry 223: 3/26/1998
| it's strange
| it's been over 2 years since I got that first message
| and there hasn't been any contact with anyone
| I know it takes time but
|
| you'd think there'd be something
| anger
| hatred
| forgiv-
|
|
| unlikely
|
| but there should be some kind of contact right
|
| I'll look into it
The following files were extracted from Prometheus Labs systems and documentation.
Prometheus Security Feed: 3/31/1998
Camera shows a large office room, mounted behind and above a oak desk. A plaque on the wall celebrates Chairman Harvey for 25 years of hard work.
SCP-XXXX manifests within the room. It looks around the room before moving towards the desk. It sits at the desk and proceeds to stay still for 10 minutes.
It leaves the chair and crouches by the desk drawers. It tugs at the drawers, but is unable to open them. It grips the drawer and forces it open. The drawer rips out and lands on the floor with wood fragments scattered about.
SCP-XXXX digs to the bottom of a stack of papers in the drawer and withdraws a thick manila folder labeled: "Project 3026: Acquisitions". SCP-XXXX opens the folder. The page on top details Acquisitions Case 350: 3/25/1998.
SCP-XXXX flips through to the middle of the folder, causing seven evidence bags containing scraps of napkins to fall out. It reads for several minutes before standing up and looking at the camera. It holds an evidence bag in its hand.
SCP-XXXX demanifests.
Recovered Logs: Felicia Johansson
12/3/1994
We survived. I don't know how long it took, but they're both finally down. The mirror over here cracked all over, but it's still relatively in one piece. I suppose that means Zhu was able to break it. Don't know if I should be glad or not. We're in rough condition right now. Amy's patching us up, but she's worn out from that fight too. Probably fought the hardest and did the most out of all of us. We're gonna rest up and see if we can contact Zhu or Prometheus.
12/5/1994
Been trying for days now… no contact. Mark and Amy scouted above ground. Place is full of those monsters. If we step out there, we die. There are supplies upstairs, luckily. A couple skeletons as well. I assume the place used to be a safe house. Used to be.In other news, Sean woke up. He always was a tough man. He'll never use his legs again.
3/31/1995
Mark had a breakdown. Took all three of us to restrain him and gag him. If another of those monsters came by…
6/12/1995
The mirror flickered. We could barely make out some words. I think Prometheus has the mirror, or at least the shards of it. There may be hope yet.
11/14/1995
The mirror lit up. Prometheus rebuilt the mirror from the shards. Not all of it though. A lot of the small pieces weren't picked up by Zhu so if we tried stepping through, we'd get cut into pieces. They're currently delivering supplies in small bottles that can fit through the larger glass pieces. We can make it.
11/28/1995
No one showed up today. Not even the scientists who were supposed to figure out how to piece this thing back together.
Something must've happened outside.
We gathered the rest of the supplies in the house, just in case. It should last us at least a little while.
Company Missive from Chairman Harvey
Concerning Project 3026: Acquisitions
Prometheus Labs, Inc.
11/26/1995
Recent estimates from the Accounting Department show that an attempt to complete Priority B would incur costs far beyond any benefit that its completion would bring. It would be in Prometheus Labs' best interest if Priority B was halted and resources diverted to other projects.
As such, the following plan has been drafted:
- Researcher Zhu is not to be within 10 feet of any documentation regarding the true status of Sean Miller, Felicia Johansson, Mark Castillo, and Amy Castillo due to his anomalous properties.
- Researcher Zhu is to continue to be led into believing that supplies are being sent weekly to the aforementioned individuals.
- Researcher Zhu is to continue to be led into believing that efforts are underway to rescue the aforementioned individuals.
Discovery: On 10/24/1998, the Foundation's raid on the now-defunct Prometheus Lab found SCP-XXXX sitting in Prometheus Labs' Meeting Room A, blocked from the outside. A decaying corpse was found in the room as well, identified as Lawrence Reginald Harvey. Cause of death was starvation.
A torn napkin in an evidence bag was found laying on the corpse:
6/19/1996
I'm the last one… Amy went looking for medicine three weeks ago. Mark was taken by infection two days later. Sean refused to eat.
I'm out of napkins and my pen is just about out of ink. I guess this is it. Zhu, if you somehow find this… take care of Eva for me, would you?

Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: Angela Richards
Date: 10/26/1998
<Foreword> Stay out of this, O5. You have yours, we have ours.
Richards: Good evening, Mr. Zhu. My name is-
SCP-XXXX: Ethics Committee Liaison, Angela Richards. I can read your tag under your shirt.
Richards: I… see. Do you know why I'm here, Mr. Zhu?
SCP-XXXX: No.
Richards: We, the Ethics Committee, want to hire you, Mr. Zhu.
SCP-XXXX cocks its head.
SCP-XXXX: Why me? Don't you already have your own anomalous team?
Richards: I'm not going to question how you know about them, but it's because we already have that team that we're asking you to join us. Let me ask you, how many anomalous humans do you think we have contained? And of those, how many do you think trust us?
SCP-XXXX stares at Richards and remains silent.
Richards: There are very few. You're new. You're anomalous, but most importantly, you're immune. It doesn't matter who we stick you with, you can talk with them. Interact with them. Get them to trust you. What would normally take years of work between a psychologist and a willing, safe patient, can take just months with you, irrespective of inherent danger.
That's the first reason we want you. The second is because you killed a man by starving him. That takes a coldness we need. We want you to find out if and what is going on with these anomalous humans and those who are supposed to watch over them, then eliminate any who violate the ethics code set forth by the Committee.
SCP-XXXX: So you want a killer.
Richards: Not necessarily killing. We need someone who can dole out punishment without fear of any retribution, but can also be controlled.
SCP-XXXX looks at Richards.
SCP-XXXX: You think you can control me? How so?
Richards withdraws a folder from her suitcase and lays it open in front of SCP-XXXX.
Richards: We looked into Project 3026. Eva Johansson. I'm sure you know her situation.
SCP-XXXX grips the table's edge and begins to deform it.
SCP-XXXX: What did you do to her?
Richards: Oh, so you don't know. Well, it's quite simple. She's with us right now. A nine-year-old girl who can tell with one hundred percent accuracy if someone is willingly lying. That's an anomaly right there, same as her mother.
SCP-XXXX: And?
Richards: While we haven't directly done anything to her, if you agree to work with us, we'll release her. She can go back to her grieving family and live the rest of her life at least somewhat normally. Otherwise… she'll be in a cell not too different from this one for the rest of her life.
SCP-XXXX: Is the Ethics Committee threatening me with the life of an innocent child?
Richards: Yes. What's your answer?
SCP-XXXX: You and Prometheus are all the same sick bastards, aren't you?
Richards: Do you accept? I won't ask again.
SCP-XXXX is silent for a minute.
SCP-XXXX: …when do I have to start?
