[[The War Drum]]
SCP Idea : A Civil War confederate drummer boy's war drum that appears to have been stitched back, and one of its sticks, both were recovered from a native American tribe. The drum mimics the closest being's heartbeat up to 10 meters without the need of its stick.

The stick itself, unusually heavy, produces no sound whatsoever when hit against the drum, even with the utmost force.

In the absence of stimuli, the drum's membrane seems to operate a slow rise and fall movement, as if breathing.

The drum, by its behaviour, creates an emotional distress for the person hearing its own heartbeat recreated in rythm and way louder, which then rises due to this and can potentially lead to a heart attack for the most fragile people. Whenever this happens, blood can be seen dripping slowly from the stitches.

It will be revealed through X-ray scans that the drum contains three pieces of organs, a small heart, a cerebellum, and an unidentifiable one. All three seem to have been connected together with several nerves of different origins.

The tribe's encampment was found abandoned, but several partial skeletons of Caucasian origins were later discovered in a nearby makeshift shrine.
