Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be housed within a standard secure locker unit at Site-98. Personnel are prohibited from making direct skin contact with object. Handling is to be carried out by remote manipulators. Class 1 Hazardous Object Manipulation procedures are to be observed.

One (1) level 4 Senior Researcher is required to authorize removal of object. Upon removal, SCP-XXXX is to be remotely affixed to an examination platform within a Class 3 secure holding cell outfitted with radiation resistant shielding.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a cast iron paper weight depicting a sleeping fox. Object is 6.5 cm tall, 16cm long, and weighs approximately 2.39kg. The exterior of SCP-XXXX is coated in a 2mm layer of a Copper/Lead alloy. The posterior of the object is concave, with a depth of 3mm. The entire surface of SCP-XXXX shows minor damage: such as scratches, dents, rust, as well as corrosion typical of long term submersion in water.

Physical exposure to the surface of SCP-XXXX causes subjects to think clearer and solve problems easier for approximately 15 minutes on average. Intensity of this effect is directly relative to the subject's perception of the value of the solution. Subjects who utilize SCP-XXXX anomalous effect during this period will have the capability to consistently score above average on the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) when examined. Children show similar results, though the effect is much less prevalent in younger subjects.

Skin exposure to SCP-XXXX degrades neuron groups, impairing memory and thinking skills and eventually leading to the inability to carry out everyday activities as a consequence of diminished cognitive function. This effect may be described as a form of Alzheimer's disease and Corticobasal degeneration. The method by which SCP-XXXX removes tissue from the brain is currently unknown; though, area selection appears to be random. It is theorized that the matter comprising the lost tissue is dissipated through ionizing radiation.

Recovery Log: SCP-XXXX was discovered by locals while magnet fishing near ███████████. One week after first exposure, James ██████, age 11, was presented to ████████ Memorial Hospital with symptoms similar to low-intensity early onset dementia and radiation poisoning. Upon discovery via CT scan that multiple portions of the patient's brain were missing, a Foundation agent embedded in the next town was alerted.

Dr. Jaime Fields: Hello James! I'm Dr. Fields. Do you want to play a game? You can pick any game you want, and we can play it together.

POI 56742: Okay. [POI 56742 gestures to a board game on the shelf]

Dr. Jaime Fields: Good choice! I loved this game when I was your age.

Dr. Jaime Fields: I hear you had a birthday recently! Do you know how old you are?

POI 56742: I'm 11.

Dr. Jaime Fields: Excellent. Now, do you remember anything odd happening before you got sick James?

POI 56742: Well [11 second pause] I was doing good at my homework I guess. My math teacher is really mean and makes us do a lot of work and I can never understand what shes saying. All those numbers are weird. Monday I found it really easy! Maybe it's just that [POI 56742 makes an audible gasp] AM I A GENIUS NOW?

Dr. Jaime Fields: Hmm, how about we start there. Did anything interesting happen before that Monday?

POI 56742: Uhmm, huh. Well I went over to Linkin's house, caught a frog; heh that was awesome, uhm, rode my bike around that old store, went fishing with Dad. What do you want me to say?

Dr. Jaime Fields: You say you went fishing? Did you catch anything cool?

POI 56742: Yeah! Dad caught this real heavy thing. He said I could have it!

Dr. Jaime Fields: Could you describe that object?

Dr. Jaime Fields: Wow! That sounds really neat.

POI 56742: It is! When I touch it I feel like I could do anything.

Dr. Jaime Fields: Is that so? Could you go into more detail?

POI 56742: Well, when I'm thinking and I touch that fox thing, I think better. I don't know how I could tell you any better. I'm really good at math now though!

Dr. Jaime Fields: Other than thinking clearer, do you notice anything else happening?

POI 56742: Sometimes I get headaches.

Dr. Jaime Fields: I see. [At this point, Dr. Fields motions to the security officer posted outside the room] Well James, it appears our time is up. It was good talking with you. Oh- and, good game.

Project Jacklyn: Project Designation Jacklyn is an ongoing experiment involving SCP-XXXX's effect on non-biological personalities (AIC's). Project Jacklyn coordinated by AIAD Command.

Non- Biological 'Touch' is achieved via a collagen scaffold weave interlaced with 13,000 tactile sensors. These enable reliable enough tactile sensation that is translatable to Artificially Intelligent Conscripts.

Intial Results:

Test AIC designated 'Jacklyn' connected to SCP-XXXX via collagen mesh. Immediately, AIC reported 'thinking' more efficiently; reporting an almost 460% increase in processing efficiency. Self diagnoses revealed no defects in the AIC's BIOS. Examination concluded Jacklyn AIC reached a level 3 score on the Asimov Artificial Intelligence Scale, higher than any Foundation created AIC on record.

Benchmark testing via a week of continuous strain calculating prime number strings showed a 3 exaFLOPS increase in theoretical compute power. The Site-98 OLCF-4 Servers started consuming 476% more current than normal operation. These tests were subsequently terminated due to rising concerns by Mobile Task Force Rho-9.
