Elevator Pitch: The train is built to replay a situation in which the subject boarding the train has felt most guilty. As such, the person must be capable of thoughts, feelings, and decision-making. The subject, upon entering the train car, will cause its doors to automatically shut and no attempts in opening/prying it open will be successful. After this, the subject will experience a train ride that accelerates constantly until it arrives at a destination. From the outside, no observations of movement or noise can be noted.
The destination in question depends on the situation in which the subject has felt most guilty, whether it be a rejection, a murder, or failure. The experience subjects go through while being 'tested' feels almost dream-like, with unexplainable events or actions occurring. Pain and injuries can still be inflicted in this state. The 'nightmare' will cause subjects to become overwhelmed by guilt, resulting in a high likelihood of suicide or poor decision-making.
Central Narrative: The train station in which the SCP is situated was accidentally stumbled upon by Foundation personnel scouting the area for suspicious missing cases reported by nearby towns. The station did not seem any less normal than any other abandoned station, but an immense sense of guilt and remorse was felt by personnel upon close contact with the train. Strangely enough, residents of nearby towns have reported that this station did not exist according to their knowledge. The Foundation began investigation and experiments on it to determine the possible presence of anomalous properties. Results from these experiments included a bar of metal shaped into a humanoid face resembling fear, decayed organic materials and animals, disappearances of D-classes, and inhumane deaths of D-classes.
One of the unfortunate D-class requested for the experiment was a young caucasian male in his 20s, with a history of murder and arson. Upon the closing of the metallic door, he started to notice that the train had started to move. He struck at the walls of the train with a hammer provided by the Foundation, as instructed before entering the train. The scratching of the wheels across the rails seems to get louder and louder, and the train movement faster and faster. It was almost as if the train was going to de-rail any moment now and he would be riding to his death.
The train suddenly halted, sending the man flying across the train and knocking him unconscious. He awoke to a familiar scenery, one that he had tried to forget about and also the one that brought him to where he is at this moment. The dark ally stood stretching both directions endlessly, and the buildings reaching to the limits of the sky. He recognized the apartment beside him as the one he had set a fire in self-defense against an intruder, which had caused casualties he did not mean to inflict. This is the place where he dies, this is his Hell.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: Every subject experiences a different kind of 'Hell', and whether they can pass their test purely rests on their own decision-making abilities. No luck, no coincidences, no mishaps, one may find that waking up may never happen. In some cases, their bodies will appear in a museum of some sort, displayed as entertainment and education for extraterrestrial beings. How the train was created is also unknown, perhaps the organization has been studying life on Earth for a while now.
