Day 1.
They didn’t tell me what I was walking into. Just said, “You’re going shopping.” Next thing I know, I’m standing in a warehouse that stretches on forever. Lights hum above, shelves stretch into the fog, and there’s no door behind me anymore.
Day 3.
I haven’t slept. The lights never turn off. There's no night. Just day after day of light and silence. Except it’s not silent. I hear… things. Metal creaking. Distant footsteps. Sometimes shouting. I tried to follow the voices once — I found blood. No body. Just smeared handprints across a LACK table.
Day 5.
I met someone today. His name’s Jonah. Says he’s been here for two years. He’s built a kind of camp behind a wall of stacked mattresses. He talks too fast. Too scared. Said something about “Them coming at night.”
But there is no night.
Right?
Day 7.
I saw one.
It didn’t move at first — just stood there, holding a price tag sign: “SALE - 50% OFF.”
But then it turned.
Its face was… stretched. Blank.
Arms too long. Legs too short. Like a mannequin melted in a furnace and dressed for work. It whispered something but I couldn’t understand it. Then it charged. I ran. Jonah didn’t make it.
Day 9.
There are towns in here. Real towns. People who’ve given up on leaving. They trade meatballs for batteries. There’s even a church — to the Store.
They pray to it.
Pray for clean aisles. For stocked shelves. For mercy during the “night.”
Day 11.
I found a map. Scribbled on the back of a children’s drawing. It shows a part of the store I haven’t seen before — an "Employee Only" section.
Marked in red.
Someone wrote next to it: “Don’t go in. They watch from there.”
Day 13.
I’m going in.

Journal was found alongside a blood-soaked employee vest and shattered security badge reading "Lars — Customer Satisfaction Specialist."
