SCP-7307
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-7307 is to be contained within a soundproof room at all times, with a team of trained personnel equipped with noise-cancelling headphones on standby. The room is to be monitored by security cameras at all times.
Description:
SCP-7307 is a contagious auditory phenomenon that spreads through sound waves. When SCP-7307 is activated, individuals within earshot will become affected in approximately 10 seconds and begin to experience a compulsion to hum or sing a specific melody. Over time, this melody will become increasingly complex and harmonious, eventually leading to a state of heightened euphoria and creativity.
However, continued exposure to SCP-7307 can result in severe side effects, including hallucinations, paranoia, and delusions. In extreme cases, individuals may become violent and unpredictable, leading to potential breaches of containment.
Discovery:
SCP-7307 was initially discovered when a series of musical performances in a small town in Italy resulted in widespread outbreaks of the contagion. The Foundation was alerted to the situation and quickly contained the source, a mysterious musical artifact that had been unearthed from an ancient tomb.
