In the field, saying the full designation of an threat entity in full may take a lot of time, and using initialisms can be confusing when letters have similar sounds. The Coalition uses a phonetic alphabet for this reason, but the alphabet used is not the same phonetic alphabet that is used by NATO (with the exception of the letter 'X').
This is because the United Nations Global Occult Coalition is not and does not work for NATO.
UNGOC Phonetic Alphabet
A - Antillia
B - Bradley
C - California
D - Dunkin
E - Emerald
F - Frisland
G - Grande
H - Humphrey
I - Iktin
J - Jacquet
K - Keenan
L - Lyonnesse
M - Makaron
N - Nimrod
O - Onaseuse
P - Pontchartrain
Q - Q5
R - Redfield
S - Sannikov
T - Thule
U - Ursula
V - Ventura
W - Waihu
X - X-Ray
Y - Yosemite
Z - Zanara
For example, 'KTE' may be shortened to 'Keenan Thule' or simply 'Thule' over radio to minimize the chance of misunderstanding.
Numbers may be assigned in the case that multiple threat entities are present. They are ordered by letter and then by their official numerical designation from lowest to highest:
If KTE-7002-Pink-Carcinoma, KTE-7372-Beige-Annunaki, and UTE-7400-Plague-Typhon are all encountered on a mission. They would be 'Thule Antillia', 'Thule Bradley', and 'Ursula' respectively.
