I'll be honest, this page wasn't really designed for the convenience of other people. For that, I apologize in advance if you find the layout quite unorganized. Nevertheless, I hope you find the contents of this page mildly interesting.
As an aside, articles 1-7 were written prior to 2022. I do not know when I wrote them precisely, but I do not intend on revisiting them. You may still read through them if you wish, but I cannot guarantee their quality. (actually I don't guarantee the quality of articles 8 onwards either because they'll show more of the raw creative process and aren't as shaped up to be pretty and professional)
Articles 8 and onwards will be dated for the sake of better archiving.
SCP Concept Pitch (for greenlighting):
Seeking Greenlights: Yes
Page Type: SCP Article
Page Layout: The Article will begin by outlining procedures to limit and prevent viewing of the SCP to the best of the Foundation's abilities and how to deal with the case of unauthorized viewing of the SCP.
Next, the article will go through the SCP's physical and memetic properties, alongside its history and origin.
Elevator Pitch: The Concept is that the SCP in question will be a surgical scalpel possessing anomalous memetic properties that are transferred via viewing of the SCP- be it direct, through a mirror or a photograph/video. Illustrations of the SCP will not possess the memetic properties. Humanoid viewers of the SCP will be prompted by the SCP to retrieve it from its containment facility at all costs if they are not already in possession of it.
Once the SCP has been successfully retrieved from containment, the affected viewer will go on a rampage at heightened speed and strength. They will attain a sudden overwhelming urge to make a fatal incision along the 5th Intercostal Space (a gap between two ribs) that stretches to the left chamber of the heart. All incisions made by viewers of the SCP consistently take place at this gap and all attempts at incision have been successful at exposing the heart.
Central Narrative: The main Narrative will be about how the Foundation Staff explore the SCP's use as a possible means of D-Class execution or Keter-Class termination. Investigations on the limits of the SCP's memetic and physically enhancing properties will also be made.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: The main hook will be located in the Special Containment Procedures where it is stated that the SCP should be kept out of sight at all times. Another hook located later on in the Special Containment Procedures will be that the SCP in question should be kept as far away from Keter-Class SCPs at all times (unless the former already has a wielder and the encounter is supervised by Foundation Security). This will make the reader wonder why there is a need for such extensive measures, prompting them to read on.
Additional Notes: All attempts at incision that the SCP and its wielder have made either end in a complete and fully accurate incision or no incision at all.

Item #: SCP-5781
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5781 is to be kept out of sight under an opaque fabric veil measuring 15 cm by 5 cm. SCP-5781 and its veil are to be kept in a 15 cm by 5 cm by 3 cm metal box. Under no circumstance should Personnel below Level 4 be allowed into the containment facility of SCP-5781. Level 4 Personnel are allowed to interact with SCP-5781 under the supervision of an armed On-Site Security Personnel. The veil should not under any circumstance be removed from SCP-5781.
SCP-5781 is to be kept as far away as possible from all Keter Class SCPs, for fear that its memetic and physically enhancing properties may be utilized by the Keter Class SCP against the Foundation. In the case of unauthorized viewing of SCP-5781 by Foundation Staff and/or Personnel, all On-Site Security Personnel are to subdue the viewer and detain them to be put under thorough psychological evaluation for 7 days. Should Foundation Personnel wield SCP-5781 without proper authorization, all On-Site Security Personnel are to terminate them on sight.
Description: SCP-5781 is a 13.5 cm long surgical scalpel fitted with a No.23 surgical blade. SCP-5781 originates from a crime scene that took place on ██-██-████ at ██████ Hospital. SCP-5781 had been utilized by Cardiac Surgeon Dr. ████ to carry out a mass murder of approximately 5 Hospital Staff and Patients before the local police arrived to subdue him via gunfire.
All of Dr. ████'s murders were carried out in the same manner- a fatal cut at the Left 5th Intercostal Space that stretched from the Mid-Axillary Line to the Left Ventricle of the victim's heart. The cut induced massive trauma to the left lung of the victims and cut open the left chambers of their hearts, causing their circulation to stop abruptly as blood gushed out of the incision. Autopsies have remarked Dr. ████'s uncanny precision and accuracy in his incisions.
Stress tests on SCP-5781 have shown SCP-5781 to have staggering resistance to breakage and shearing, with the greatest force exerted on it so far numbering at 12.7kN []. Tests carried out remotely have also determined SCP-5781's blade to have a score of 8 on the Mohs Scale of Mineral Hardness, substantially harder than a regular steel object.
Tests carried out by the Foundation using D-Class subjects have found SCP-5781 to possess memetic and physically enhancing properties. The subjects (referred to from now on as SCP-5781-1) expressed a heightened increase to their muscular capabilities, with subjects often being able to lift 50kg weights single-handedly without a previous record of extensive physical exercise and/or training. Measured running speeds have also topped out at 13.72m/s. All subjects have also shown to possess the same precision and accuracy as Dr. ████ in carrying out their attacks, with every incision being consistently made at the Left 5th Intercostal Space spanning the same length and depth.
The Foundation has decidedly classified SCP-5781 under the Euclid Class after several incidents that included several Foundation Staff and Personnel attempting to break into SCP-5781's containment facility to retrieve it for themselves. It has been concluded that possession of SCP-5781 leads to the development of an urge in SCP-5781-1 to make the precise incision that had been carried out by every other subject.
Addendum: Requests have been made by Level 4 Researchers to be granted permission to introduce SCP-5781-1 and SCP-5781 to [a Humanoid Keter-Class SCP] to evaluate SCP-5781's use as a possible means of termination.

Elevator Pitch: The cognitively aware skeletal remains of an entity that used to reside within Lake Mega Chad located a few kilometres north of Lake Chad and 3 metres deep at its shallowest point. The remains are that of a colossal entity roughly resembling an Orca but magnified forty-fold.
The entity will have existed during the Holocene Epoch in Lake Mega Chad, its reason for death being the rapid retreat of the Lake's shorelines during the last 2,000 to 1,000 years.
Unprotected physical contact with the skeletal tissue of the deceased entity will induce bone atrophy upon the victim, with periods of atrophy ranging from 5-7 days to 5-10 seconds. All atrophic processes result in the skeletal tissue of the victim being reduced to the consistency of loosely packed sand and generally do not affect newly regenerated tissue, given the victim does not prolong contact with the skeletal entity. Ingestion and/or inhalation of what appears to be skeletal residue on the entity will produce similar effects.
The rate at which atrophy is inculcated is dependent on the victim's intent prior to making contact, with those harbouring the will to inflict damage upon the skeletal remains receiving the fastest atrophies.
Those who experience longer atrophic periods or those who made contact with the remains without the intent to inflict damage become subject to heavy memetic influence and harbour a near uncontrollable urge to surface the entirety of the entity and translocate it into the nearest body big enough to hold it.
Central Narrative: The central narrative will base itself upon interviews with psychologically affected individuals as well as archaeological missions to determine the origins, exact size and history of the entity in the region during and after the Holocene Epoch. Later discoveries about the entity will reveal the presence of only lightly degenerated tissue in the deeper buried regions, specifically around the pectoral fins and skull of the entity.
The presence of cognitive awareness within the entity will be determined using interviews with the entity through the affected individuals. A cognitive awareness that actively learns about the outside world through the eyes of its memetically affected victims and from their deaths.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: The colossal size of the aquatic entity in such a desolate region as well as the presence of an apparent cognitive awareness.
Additional Notes: Discovery about the morals and goals of the entity will also be made, revealing it has some amount of humanity. Cross-testing with other SCPs may also be carried out to determine the effects of its bone atrophy.

Elevator Pitch: SCP-XXXX is an insectoid organism that largely resembles a caterpillar in physiology and size. SCP-XXXX is able to manipulate thermodynamics in its immediate surroundings, although only by reducing the temperature. Organic beings who come into direct contact with SCP-XXXX suffer from the gradual onset of hypothermia due to an exponentially increasing loss of thermal energy from their bodies, up till the point of death. SCP-XXXX is also able to spawn instances of SCP-XXXX-1, Will-o'-the-Wisp-like entities who only emerge when a person succumbs to the adverse effects of contact with SCP-XXXX.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are typically passive and spend their time circling SCP-XXXX in a manner resembling a Merry-go-Round. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will turn violent when in the presence of an entity harbouring the intention of harming SCP-XXXX and will proceed to phase through the body of the aggressor, inflicting massive physiological damage due to the sudden and immense loss of thermal energy and the formation of ice crystals within the interstitial fluid of the entity.
After a certain period of time, SCP-XXXX will enter a cocooning phase, wherein which it attempts to encase itself in an elongated bipyramidal-like cocoon several metres in height, length and breadth, formed out of impure solid ice and nearly opaque in transparency. During this period of time, SCP-XXXX will undergo a massive physical transformation that results in its development into a giant moth, resembling those of the genus eucyclodes.
Central Narrative:

Additional Notes:
SCP-XXXX is an anomalous insectoid organism that heavily resembles the caterpillars of the genus eucylcodes. SCP-XXXX acts as a heat sink, and is able to cool down its surroundings, confined to an area approximately 2 metres in diameter, to just below the freezing point. Moreover, it is able to discriminately and deliberately focus its cooling effect, forming relatively dangerous 'cold-zones' anywhere within a 1-metre radius around it, beyond which its targeting abilities begin to exponentially decrease.
Direct contact with SCP-XXXX results in the onset of hypothermia in the victim, caused by a constant loss of thermal energy at a rate of 5.7 joules per gram every minute to the point of death.
SCP-XXXX is also responsible for the genesis of instances of SCP-XXXX-1, Will-o'-the-Wisp-like entities that are anomalously created upon the expiration of a victim that had succumbed to hypothermia as a result of SCP-XXXX. These instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will gradually advance towards the general location of SCP-XXXX, displaying the ability to navigate even with the apparent lack of eyes, ears, or any other physical sensory organs. Upon arrival within SCP-XXXX's immediate proximity, the instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will revolve around SCP-XXXX while oscillating along the vertical plane, closely resembling a Merry-Go-Round.
While not aggressive, the instances of SCP-XXXX-1 display an ability to discern the intentions of sentient beings in the proximity of SCP-XXXX, and upon the discovery of a potential threat to SCP-XXXX's safety, will engage. Upon engaging with the threat, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to rapidly phase through the entity's being, inflicting massive physiological trauma upon their adversary.
Effects of SCP-XXXX-1's interactions with targets include:

Elevator Pitch: An Old-Timey Diving Suit that
- Protects the user from the effects of water pressure during deep-sea dives
- Supplies the user with oxygen
- Transports the user into a specific alternate reality once they are fully submerged in water and are in an environment fully devoid of light
- Contains a set of coordinates that lead to a certain location in the Pacific Ocean, as well as instructions to head to that area
Central Narrative: The central narrative of the Article focuses on uncovering a mystery through the use of the SCP.
The mystery specifically is about the alternate reality that the SCP is involved with. It revolves around an alternate Foundation striving to neutralize a Keter-Class SCP that threatens to wipe out humanity in both the alternate and original realities.
The SCP Article will first log an event where an exploratory mission sent to the defined location results in the loss of the SCP, as a result of its anomalous properties.
The SCP is then recovered after some time, severely damaged, without its operator and with only a few of its remaining data logs still functional.
The data logs that remain make the mystery more alluring by adding a sense of urgency and significance to the mystery, driving the Foundation to repair the SCP (through use of SCP-914) and to send another operator into the depths in order to evaluate and eliminate the threat.
The second mission proves successful in neutralizing the threat, and the logs recorded by the second operator are preserved and archived by the Foundation. These logs will serve as a means of storytelling, uncovering the alternate reality that had previously gone under the radar and putting together the pieces of the puzzle.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: Curiosity (What happened to this alternate universe?)
Additional Notes: The alternate reality is one wherein which an XK-Class End-of-The-World Scenario had taken place that resulted in the complete concealment of the Earth from the sun's light. This reality has its own alternate SCP Foundation that, armed with several copies of the Article's SCP, manages to keep the last vestiges of humanity alive in remote settlements along geothermal vents on the ocean floor. This Foundation's primary directives are now to Protect what remains of humanity from anomalous threats (be it via containment/monitoring or neutralization) and to Utilize anomalous phenomena and/or entities to re-establish civilization.
SCP XXXX: The Seabed Wanderers
Idea rundown: Anomalous diving suit that transport you into an alternate reality
World Background: The alternate reality is one wherein which an XK-Class End-of-The-World Scenario took place that saw the complete deletion of the sun. As such, humanity was forced into sparsely populated and minute settlements and hideouts deep in the ocean, warmed by the Earth's geological activity and shielded from the emptiness of space by several kilometers of ice overhead. The humans of this universe make use of anomalous diving suits similar to SCP XXXX to live in relative normality on the ocean floor.
This alternate reality also has its own alternate SCP Foundation, that carries out fieldwork and strives to protect the last vestiges of humanity from anomalous phenomena and/or entities that seek to harm them. A side-goal of this SCP Foundation is to find a way to harvest the abilities of anomalies (such as SCP XXXX) to their advantage in 'reclaiming the surface'.
The events of this SCP Article involve the attempted neutralization of a certain Apollyon level SCP that threatens to wipe out what remains of humanity.
Chronology of Events
Opening
1. Discovery of the SCP (whose anomalous properties are initially believed to allow wearers to dive to any depth, irregardless of water pressure or oxygen replenishment)
2. Coordinates located within the SCP that point to somewhere within the Pacific Ocean
3. Operative wearing the SCP is sent to the demarcated location (with recording logs and cameras, etc), accompanied by other operatives in deep-sea submersible vehicles
Initial Developments
1. Communication with the SCP Operator is lost and upon entry into the ‘Midnight Zone’ depth of the ocean, and the cable connecting the suit to the SCP mobile naval base is severed (anomalously)
2. The SCP and it’s operative are assumed to be MIA/KIA, and attempts to rescue them are abandoned after a few weeks
Lost Child
1. The operative makes landing on the seafloor, and discovers that he has lost communication with his squad-mates
2. He fails to re-establish communication, and instead decides to record his surroundings, treading the seafloor and noting the tranquility of the area (he cannot feel the immense pressure present at his supposed depth)
Not Alone
1. He discovers footsteps along the seafloor (what? whose are these?)
2. Discrepancies between the footprints and his shoes are noted, albeit they only differ in the number engraved upon them
3. Further attempted elucidation of the origin of these prints
4. Operative follows the prints out of curiosity, recording his thoughts as he goes
5. Operative has a run in with a "sea" monster, who attempts to puncture his suit in order to attack him
6. The limited mobility caused by the thick medium in which the operative was present in combined with his buoyancy made it really difficult to fend off the creature, who swims in circles around the operative
7. The operative is on the brink of being killed

Elevator Pitch: An SCP that has little to no interest in mankind and spends its time carrying out titanic feats considered Herculean by humans.
Central Narrative: This SCP's story in our eyes starts with its discovery by the Galileo spacecraft. From then on, the Foundation and NASA collaborated in dealing with the SCP's research, though what information the Foundation could glean about the SCP using the probe was limited. Its initial size and vaguely understood properties led the Foundation to believe it to be a dormant alien lifeform of unknown origins, leading to its classification as a Euclid.
A few years later, the Foundation is able to establish a more robust task force consisting of probes and rovers centered around studying the SCP. During this period, the Foundation undercovers the SCP's nature and capabilities, learning of its ability to throw spears of sheer volcanic matter across the Jovian moon- though it only seems interesting in nailing a very specific location on the other side of the lunar body. It is then classed as a Keter for its high threat potential.
However, more research endeavors that succeed in establishing some form of rudimentary communication with the SCP reveal the SCP's circumstances and its disinterest in harming humanity. The SCP treats the Foundation like how a busy mother would treat her children, ignoring them largely to continue throwing its spears while occasionally entertaining the Foundation's research missions. The Foundation no longer deems it a threat and classifies it as Safe.
Later, the Foundation learns about the truth of the SCP's situation and about how it was forging and throwing volcanic spears expressly for the purpose of suppressing another anomaly akin to it that threatened humanity collaterally. This leads the Foundation to finally classify the SCP as Thaumiel.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: I think that seeing Euclid Keter Safe Thaumiel under an SCP's classification would be interesting enough to warrant a more thorough read.
Additional Notes: If there is any lore relating to the Foundation's space program then I would be eager to learn of it and maybe incorporate it into the article.
Thank you for the reply! I apologize if the following response is quite lengthy, but I find it to be the most clear way for me to fully lay out my vision for this SCP.
I'll first start by describing the entity and its species and then I'll move onto breaking the article down into the Foundation's phases of unravelling the mystery surrounding it.
This SCP's great species are a form of lifeform made of rock that persist and propagate through the use of their wills; the will to move themselves and the will to exert themselves onto others. This leads to really the only thing standing in between them and death being their will to continue living; a purpose or a meaning behind their life.
This fallen alien species categorizes itself into three primary groups: Constructors, Conceivers and Conquerors. Here's what separates the three from each other, after this I'll bring up our entities' roles in this method of categorization.
The Constructors are the lifeforms with the most will to move their own bodies- and subsequently the least will to force themselves upon other lifeforms. These Constructors are behemothic creatures with extraordinary strength due to their will distribution and they largely (as their name suggests) serve as heavy-lifters who terraform new worlds and construct residences for the other members of their species. They can also use what little world-changing will they have to create lesser versions of themselves; drones who serve as basic assistants in surveying the land.
Their primary purpose and drive in life is to create- to help life flourish.
The Conceivers sit on the other end of the spectrum. They have the least will to move themselves but have the strongest urge to force others to conform to their needs and wants. Due to this, they are very physically weak and are the smallest of their species- equal to even some of the lesser drones created by the Constructors. However, their large will to exert themselves upon others dials the aforementioned 'drone summoning' ability to eleven, allowing them to create 'lesser' versions of themselves so sophisticated that they can be considered normal members of the species. This makes the Conceivers a cornerstone in ensuring the species' continuity, in turn driving their value up and making them the leaders of their kin.
Their primary purpose is to ensure the success of their own species; and their large urge to force themselves upon other lifeforms makes them care little for other species.
Now, our Conquerors find themselves awkwardly in the middle, with roughly equal amounts of both wills. This makes them not physically strong enough to be Constructors, to move mountains and carve valleys. This also makes them unable to propagate the species, making them far valuable than the Conceivers. However, their delicate blend of physical power and the ability to command large drone armies makes them perfect for conquest. Someone had to conquer new lands for the Constructors to shape and the Conceivers to populate, right?
They do not create, they only destroy.
The two entities in the article are a Constructor (the spear thrower) and a Conqueror (the one being speared). They came to Io on behalf of their race to conquer the Earth and assimilate its lifeforms into their species, stopping on the Jovian moon as it was very volcanically active- which would make it easier for them to create lesser drones in preparation of the invasion.
A Conceiver was supposed to come with them too after they had finished basic preparations, however an intraspecies war broke out that wiped out all of the Conceivers, bringing down the rest of the civilization too.
This led to our Constructor and Conqueror having an existential crisis- as they had no greater civilization to serve now, what was their purpose?
This article is the exploration of how they, individually, coped with the downfall of their species.
The Constructor coped with the loss by choosing to revive its purpose to help life flourish, doing this by deciding to protect the only other life-bearing planet in its close proximity- the Earth.
The Conqueror coped with the loss by convincing itself that going through with the conquest of the Earth would somehow bring back their fallen species, dropping any and all logic and reason in the face of death. So, it decided it would conquer the Earth.
This led to the active, ongoing conflict between the Constructor and the Conqueror we see in the article, where the Constructor uses its immense physical prowess to subdue the physically weaker Conqueror with giant pillars of volcanic rock- knowing that if the Conqueror accomplished its goal to conquer the Earth, there would be nothing left for the Constructor to serve.
I am sorry if this is too long! (Article timeline up next)
As for the timeline of the Foundation's discovery, I will split it up into the time periods between the different classifications given to the Constructor (the main SCP) by the Foundation.
Euclid-
The SCP is a spacetime anomaly located in rural Japan that anomalously causes kindergarteners from across the country to manifest inside of it during typical kindergarten operation hours. The absence of these children will hold no effect on the operation of the affected kindergartens, and activities will continue as if they were still present. At no point in time before, during or after the relocation events do the other students, staff and parents of the affected kindergartens remark the absence of the missing children.
The chosen kindergarteners will be held within the SCP, which largely resembles a run-down kindergarten built during the 1960s (ie. Japan's post-war economic miracle). They will be returned to their original kindergartens surreptitiously once the schooling day ends and while they will be able to remember the event, they will be unable to remark or refer to it much thought.
- In the case of a "When Day Breaks" or SCP-5000 type scenario where a victim of either has been made to endure unending suffering, memories made by affected former kindergarteners can be revisited in such a way that completely encapsulates a person's senses; sparing them from the pain.
MTF-XX "Kindergarten Teachers" is an established Mobile Task Force within the Foundation comprising of Foundation researchers with backgrounds or expertise in teaching young children as well as field technicians who have the capability to maintain the condition of the kindergarten. MTF-XX is to be stationed within the SCP at all times, although the researchers are to be allowed to leave to collect relevant teaching resources for schooling hours.
The primary purpose of MTF-XX is to provide comfort to the affected kindergarteners and to ensure the integrity and functionality of the SCP as a typical Japanese kindergarten.
temporary designation 9399
the whole point is to write an article that underlines the humanity of the foundation. the power of compromise and dialogue, and of human compassion- from both foundation personnel and 9399
alright what the hell is going on here
right so the idea is this:
basal properties, appearance:
a young girl who wanders the forests of southern china. she goes around picking certain flowers and affixing them to herself in various places, including her hair, her skin and her eyes. she does not require neither water nor food to survive, but will nevertheless appreciate a good meal or a refreshing drink.
interactions with foundation and foundation staff:
9399 displayed a hospitable, friendly disposition upon initial contact with MTF-XXX (which were sent following local concerns of a strange flower monster). presuming 9399 to be non-hostile, MTF-XXX proceeded to interview it on the spot, with the goal of elucidating its motivations and more information about itself. the flowergirl, in language consistent with a girl of her age, explains that she simply only wishes to continue picking flowers. when confronted with the knowledge of her sightings, she profused apologised for having caused the foundation inconvenience (amnesiac procedures were not followed, as such a localised, small-scale sighting poses little threat to breaking the veil).
foundation designates her as Archon, following her offer of providing them with a map of where she plans on going in the future such that they may carry out low-risk intervention where needed, such as closing off small rural parks or ceasing forestry activities.
this arrangement holds for several months, with the only two instances of 9399 breaking from protocol being when she 'forgot' to draft the map for the foundation (she hastily created one when confronted and was highly apologetic) and when she deviated from the designated route (she claimed to have caught wind of a particularly desirable flower. though upon closer inspection the flower does not exhibit any anomalous properties, nor is it of a particularly rare or valuable species).
however, the foundation failed to properly inhibit the activity of illegal lumberers, causing exposure of the men to 9399. the following interaction led to the death and immediate decay of their cadavers, and slight injury on 9399.
foundation begins containment of 9399, designating her as safe, dark and warning. containment procedures are as per standard humanoid containment.
containment characteristics:
9399 is non-hostile during containment. researchers are safe to engage 9399 in one-on-one conversation with only a simple glass separating barrier in place. 9399 remains highly apologetic and regretful of angering the foundation, though she explicitly states that she does not feel remorse for killing the illegal lumberers. when further experimented on through exposure to films involving death, 9399 displays regular, non-psychopathic, emotional reactions- such as pity and sadness. 9399 is highly accomodating of foundation personnel's requests, barring the removal of flowers from her body.
harmful anomalous properties:
over time, the flowers on 9399's body begin to rot. 9399 claims that they will continue to degenerate and eventually fall off of her, creating a highly dangerous organic, non-living substance that poses a serious threat to living matter. this has been confirmed. 9399 claims that the necrotic matter can only be destroyed if exposed to dirt, where it may fertilise plants. though confirmed to be true (and the fertilised plants show no abnormalities, nor can 9399 pick them out from a lineup including non-fertilised plants), the matter can also be destroyed through exposure to high temperatures and fire.
the necromatic matter, upon making contact with living matter, will convert the living matter into more of itself.
as more of the flowers rot off of 9399's body, the greater the generated mass of decay from each dying flower. 9399 claims to be unable to stop this phenomenon. 9399 claims that once the final flower falls, she herself will turn into a fountain of the necromatic matter, extinguishable only through typical burial rites with the specific intent of fertilising the soil.
updated containment procedures:
9399 has been permitted to go on excursions accompanied by foundation personnel to go picking flowers to prevent her passing. she retains autonomy to choose her own route, though the personnel will ensure that she does not come into contact with any humans. 9399 becomes much more cheery following the new protocol's implementation, and claims that she enjoys her time living in the site and interacting with both site staff and other humanoid SCPs.

Page Type: SCP Article
Page Layout: Standard, with quite a few interview logs to help characterise the SCP.
Elevator Pitch: A basally non-hostile, flower-picking SCP, that poses little risk outside of those who interfere with its flower-picking. Its anomalous effects worsen with containment, but as it poses too high a threat to be released, the Foundation must find a middle ground through conversing with the SCP humanely and through the use of empathy.
Central Narrative: The SCP enjoys picking flowers and affixing them to its body, covering its hair, skin and eyes. These flowers will rot after a certain amount of time, turning into animated necrotic matter that will seek out living flesh to rot if not exposed to soil to be turned into fertiliser. Once all the flowers rot off of the SCP, the SCP itself will degenerate, turning into a fountain of the necrotic matter unless itself returned to the soil.
The narrative follows as the Foundation continually modifies the SCP's containment protocols. Initially, they attempt to find the most non-intrusive protocol for the cooperative SCP, but when that fails, they go for a more hands-on approach involving containment. The Researchers managing the SCP's containment, aligned with the goal of minimising risk and maximising security, eventually realise that through dialogue and cooperation with the SCP, improved protocols can be created that both suit the Foundation's goals of containment while remaining largely unintrusive for the SCP (ie. allowing it to continue picking flowers under closer supervision of the Foundation and to manage its rotting flowers naturally).
Hook/Attention-Grabber: An openly friendly SCP that is more than willing to cooperate with and accomodate the Foundation, so long as it gets to continue picking flowers. The idea is that the two parties must go through the process of conflict and compromise, solving their issues in a uniquely empathetic, human way.
Additional Notes: I would actually like to include a few 'wholesome' moments in the interview logs and/or article itself to better illustrate the relationship between the SCP and its assigned Researchers and Foundation Personnel. For example, the SCP might intentionally violate initially agreed-upon protocol to pick a flower they understand a member of the personnel likes, or it may see the Personnel supervising it as a flower-picking friends.
SCP-XXXX: The Great Envy
The Great Envy is, at any point in time, one of the flowers of the genus Triphysaria present in North America. Though indistinguishable from non-anomalous flowers of the same genus, subjects who register the flower in their field of view will begin their transition into an instance of SCP-XXXX-A. Instances lose their reliance on human necessities, instead becoming capable of subsisting entirely off of the act of picking Triphysaria flowers (with a preference for T. floribunda) and implanting them into themselves- primarily their hair, scalp and the skin of their upper body barring the area immediately surrounding their nose and mouth.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-A typically avoid human settlementation and are only active at night in rural habitats with notable presences of Triphysaria flowers. While instances do not require food or water, they remain susceptible to regular physical trauma, disease and predation. Instances also display impaired threat assessment and risk management capabilities, and often survive no longer than 2 weeks upon commencement of the transition.
Flowers implanted into instances of SCP-XXXX-A remain alive and healthy, though their reproductive cycles are arrested. Flowers have a chance to begin to wilt and rot at any point in time, falling off of the instance upon completion of the wilting process. Though unclear, it is postulated that instances can select which flowers to sentence to wilting, thereby picking and choosing which flowers to keep implanted within it.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-A will begin to waste away when unable to pick Triphysaria flowers for extended periods of time, dying entirely if such a state is sufficiently prolonged- typically to uncharacteristically violent manifestations of illnesses such as the common cold. During Autumn and Winter, instances may enter a state of hibernation, sleeping in a singular unbroken block until the beginning of the following Spring and the re-emergence of Triphysaria flowers. Through hibernation, instances are able to avoid wasting away and remain relatively stable.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-A can vary in behaviour, though most tend to exhibit a collected and friendly disposition. Instances also exert a memetic effect on subjects within its proximity depending on the progression of its flower mantle. Instances whose mantles remain largely confined to their hair and their eyes can imprint themselves into the memories of affected subjects, compelling their care and protection indefinitely, unless amnestics are administered to the affected subjects. Instances whose mantles exceed the hair and face and display great growths of flowers on their body instead send affected subjects into a state of disgust, irritation and anger, with the intensity of the effect depending on the length of time of exposure. Even when affected subjects are removed from the offending instance's presence, the memetic effects remain until administration of amnestics.
Upon development of a full mantle of Triphysaria flowers, instances will enter a hibernatory state distinct from the one entered during Autumn and Winter. Instances will kneel and assume the 'seiza' position before passing into hibernation. Over the course of hibernation, the flowers implanted into the instance's body will slowly shrink and fade into it. While it is uncertain what occurs to an instance upon the complete absorption of their mantle, what is known is that instances within this special hibernatory state will draw disaster towards them- increasing in intensity the further along their absorption progresses.
Such disasters may include accidental mishaps, such as anomalous power outages or the outbreak of food poisoning incidents amongst Foundation personnel, to larger scale disasters including severe flash floods, category ten earthquakes and other uncharacteristic, anomalous weather events. Disasters may also involve organic parties, including outbreaks of infectious diseases or mass psychotic episodes across Foundation personnel.
The only instance of SCP-XXXX-A captured and contained by the Foundation was lost after being swallowed by a 25-metre radius sinkhole that emerged to engulf it and its escort team during a planned relocation- one decided upon to better contain the disasters it drew to itself. [possible log entry detailing the specifics of the escort team and the events leading up to the sinkhole emergence]
The Great Envy was the first known instance of a parasitic plant. This most recent common ancestor of all parasitic plants was the first to employ the use of a 'haustoria', a development that allowed it to sap nutrients from the roots of host plants. This 'Great Envy', though now long since physically gone, is capable of jumping to and fro members of the genus Triphysaria- the closest living plants to it in function- thereby allowing its anomalous effects to live on. Considered the most repugnant of flowers for its shameless parasitism, the Great Envy seeks to create the perfect succeeding vessel through the development SCP-XXXX-A instances, such that it may one day parasitise off of all life itself- at all trophic levels, and at every scale of life, microbial or astronomical-, a plan just as detested and repugnant as it itself.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-A are considered to be of Containment Class Archon. Their containment interferes with the natural processes put in place by life (disease, predation, disasters) that terminate them, and thus to avoid the succesful progression of an instance into its final state, they are to be left uncontained and unprotected. Proposals to terminate SCP-XXXX through artificial extinction of genus Triphysaria have been denied on concerns that the Great Envy may spread to other genuses of parasitic plants that are less endemic and contained as Triphysaria (which is endemic to the North American West Coast), such as others in parasitic families like the Orobanchaceae, Rafflesiaceae and Balanophoraceae.
