Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is not to be removed from the free port of La Rue Macabre. The Foundation currently possesses SCP-XXXX instances for testing and archival purposes.
Seeds and trimmings of SCP-XXXX should only be planted in designated testing areas and public areas agreed upon by the Site Director of the area. The use of designated planting areas is to avoid structural and possibly irreversible damage to Foundation assets. The seeds must be kept in containers that prevent early germination. Seeds that have undergone germination outside of scheduled testing must be destroyed; the use of fire is recommended to ensure all biological components are rendered inert.
Descripton: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous variant of Actinodium cunninghamii or Swamp Daisy. The location of SCP-XXXX in La Rue Macabre has been noted as a secondary anomalous characteristic, given that the Swamp Daisy is endemic to Australia. The primary anomalous characteristic is its ability to predictably alter its surroundings. When planted, SCP-XXXX causes all surrounding material, biological and artificial, to undergo significant change and break down upon germination. The following are the primary traits of a Bog Event caused by the growth of SCP-XXXX in a given area.
If an area that SCP-XXXX is growing in does not have water, water will manifest over the growth period, as will grass, trees, soil, other flora and fauna. Fauna recorded as appearing due to SCP-XXXX includes frogs, alligators, birds, and fish of various species. Bodies of water that occur due to SCP-XXXX have been recorded as being 5 feet in depth at its maximum threshold. The terraforming caused by SCP-XXXX produces exact copies of swamps, but it is believed that each instance of SCP-XXXX has a blueprint for the swamp it intends to create during a Bog Event.
The most commonly created swamps closely resemble Louisiana biomes; however, SCP-XXXX has also created swamp biomes similar to those in the UK, Japan, Australia, and Canada.
While planted, SCP-XXXX maintains the swamp it created unless destroyed or dug up. Removing an SCP-XXXX instance does not eliminate the swamp; it allows it to be cleaned up as needed. However, construction will be required to rebuild what was taken during the Bog Event.
The (above) image shows the result of an aggressive Bog Event at a discontinued Foundation Site where SCP-XXXX was first planted. Observations were performed by recording equipment, some of which was lost to the water that was manifested. Agents performed hands-on observation Biweekly.
Once SCP-XXXX fully flowered, every part of the Site was replaced by grass, water, trees, and animals; all that remained of the Site was the knowledge that it had been there. Further tests are being conducted to determine whether SCP-XXXX can serve as a tool for ecological strengthening, either by using abandoned structures or barren areas, thereby allowing water and plant life to thrive where there would normally be none.
(Death Valley after Bog Event)
A section of Death Valley, California, was allocated for testing SCP-XXXX in extreme heat conditions. The results were a consistent, steady terraforming of the area; the Bog Event created high-density flora and a single primary body of fresh water. The heat did not change by anomalous means; however, the density of trees created pockets of shade that were 10 or 20 degrees cooler. The use of SCP-XXXX to terraform other sections of Death Valley is pending.

K Nolks: "Mr Bowen, you said that you didn't know what caused your property to become a swamp; is that right?"
M Bowen: "Yeah, that's right, dunno how the hell this happened, only things that seemed to do alright were those bloody flowers."
K Nolks: "The flowers, can you describe them for me?"
M Bowen: "Kay, well, they're like a daisy, reddish tint on the petals, look nice, some seeds given to me by a mate who went to some place, never heard of it myself."
K Nolks: "When the change to your home began, what were the first signs that tipped you off something was wrong?"
M Bowen: "Ehh, shit was waterlogged, soil around the flowers, then the lawn, became muddy and I guess marshy… then well, started affecting my home, brick work and furniture, wake up one day, carpets wet, more insects and plants, tried dealing with it, was back the next day."
K Nolks: "What was the most overt anomaly that you observed?"
M Bowen: "Sides from trees in my living room, the entire downstairs flooded, alligators and the second floor collapsing and being made a whole of this…whatever the hell happened, honestly Miss Kimberly, take your pick, free fucking country, free choice"
K Nolks: "Thank you for your time, Mr Bowen, that concludes this interview."
M Bowen: "Sure thing, but hey, what about my home? Where am I going to live now?"
K Nolks: "Arrangements are being made for you, Mr Bowen."

SCP-XXXX does not perform its anomalous properties if planted in an existing swamp biome, both naturally occurring ones, those made by the Foundation and those made from other SCP-XXXX instances. SCP-811 was offered a new swamp biome to live in; the request was denied, with SCP-811 stating it would reconsider if the new swamp felt like its own. Hybridisation of SCP-XXXX with plants native to SCP-811's swamp has been approved. The goal of this experiment is to see if SCP-811 either approves of the resulting swamp and/or would be willing to relocate it as a secondary containment enclosure.
SCP-XXXX was planted at a lumber mill which had been in disuse and disrepair for several months; the resulting Bog Event transformed the mill entirely. Upon completion of the Bog Event, a group of Sylvilagus aquaticus Swamp Rabbits was found at the swamp. A sweep of the area by Agents confirmed that no predator animal had been manifested by SCP-XXXX that could cause significant harm to the rabbits.
