Seeking Greenlights: Yes

Page Type: SCP Article

Elevator Pitch: A volatile, though good intentioned, girl who spontaneously manifests new anomalous abilities symbolised by lilies in Japanese floriography, with the ultimate purpose of serving justice and kindness and becoming a magical girl (like in anime ^^).

Central Narrative: The Foundation, on gaining the SCP's custody, tries to raise and care for it as humanely as possible. As the SCP is always trying to be 'just' and 'kind', it cooperates extensively with the Foundation's requests and manages to find a relatively fulfilling life, eventually becoming a Thaumeil-Class SCP. This cooperation and its generally nice disposition causes it to befriend and positively benefit a lot of the personnel at the site it is located at, which makes some of them eventually refer to it affectionately as a little sister.

However, as the SCP continues to develop anomalous abilities as a byproduct of its fulfilling and emotionally enriching life, each of which continues to compound on each other in complexity and capability, it becomes significantly more difficult to reliably contain it and predict what it may do.

In an attempt to curb the continual development of new abilities, the Foundation then tries to fully sterilise the SCP's life, taking out anything that had previously caused the development of a new lily/ powerset. This ultimately fails, and eventually culminates in a last-ditch attempt to contain the SCP's lily manifestation through the removal of its original lily (which allows it to be perfectly just and kind); which fails.

This then leads to a containment breach, which is successfully suppressed through the Foundation exploiting the SCP's established relationships with Site personnel and its principles of justice and kindness. The Foundation then succeeds in executing its original plan.

However, as a result of no longer being perfectly just and kind, it is no longer considered a (perfect) magical girl, and its lilies wilt one-by-one (causing it to become Neutralised). By the article(s) end, all that remains of a once aspiring magical girl, the beloved 'little sister' of a lot of personnel, will just be a girl with crushed dreams and clinical depression.

Hook/Attention-Grabber: I think the whole idea of a 'magical girl' like those you see in anime being turned into an SCP might be quite interesting. I know of SCP-5726, but I think the scope of this SCP's abilities and the challenges in containing it might help it stand out enough from 5726 (And it might be really cute to one day write about the two girls becoming friends). Also, I feel like the readers may get attached to the SCP and the Site staff, and might want to see how this initially wholesome relationship gets up-ended and ultimately ends in inevitable tragedy.

Additional Notes: I, foolishly, was not aware of the greenlighting policy on the discord server. I had originally put my idea up for critique on the wiki, but since I got no responses even after messaging 3 critters I decided on just writing a draft of part of the article and getting that critiqued at a later date. But, now that that later date has come, I realise I might be a little cooked.

If you'd like to read that draft, please let me know!!! It's quite long, about 6k words (ᵕ • ᴗ •), and has various different interviews/ experiments/ text-message excerpts, but any critique would be very, very much appreciated. Thank you!
