Seeking Greenlights: Yes
Page Type: SCP Article
Elevator Pitch: A volatile, though good intentioned, girl who spontaneously manifests new anomalous abilities symbolised by lilies in Japanese floriography, with the ultimate purpose of serving justice and kindness and becoming a magical girl (like in anime ^^).
Central Narrative: The Foundation, on gaining the SCP's custody, tries to raise and care for it as humanely as possible. As the SCP is always trying to be 'just' and 'kind', it cooperates extensively with the Foundation's requests and manages to find a relatively fulfilling life, eventually becoming a Thaumeil-Class SCP. This cooperation and its generally nice disposition causes it to befriend and positively benefit a lot of the personnel at the site it is located at, which makes some of them eventually refer to it affectionately as a little sister.
However, as the SCP continues to develop anomalous abilities as a byproduct of its fulfilling and emotionally enriching life, each of which continues to compound on each other in complexity and capability, it becomes significantly more difficult to reliably contain it and predict what it may do.
In an attempt to curb the continual development of new abilities, the Foundation then tries to fully sterilise the SCP's life, taking out anything that had previously caused the development of a new lily/ powerset. This ultimately fails, and eventually culminates in a last-ditch attempt to contain the SCP's lily manifestation through the removal of its original lily (which allows it to be perfectly just and kind); which fails.
This then leads to a containment breach, which is successfully suppressed through the Foundation exploiting the SCP's established relationships with Site personnel and its principles of justice and kindness. The Foundation then succeeds in executing its original plan.
However, as a result of no longer being perfectly just and kind, it is no longer considered a (perfect) magical girl, and its lilies wilt one-by-one (causing it to become Neutralised). By the article(s) end, all that remains of a once aspiring magical girl, the beloved 'little sister' of a lot of personnel, will just be a girl with crushed dreams and clinical depression.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: I think the whole idea of a 'magical girl' like those you see in anime being turned into an SCP might be quite interesting. I know of SCP-5726, but I think the scope of this SCP's abilities and the challenges in containing it might help it stand out enough from 5726 (And it might be really cute to one day write about the two girls becoming friends). Also, I feel like the readers may get attached to the SCP and the Site staff, and might want to see how this initially wholesome relationship gets up-ended and ultimately ends in inevitable tragedy.
Additional Notes: I, foolishly, was not aware of the greenlighting policy on the discord server. I had originally put my idea up for critique on the wiki, but since I got no responses even after messaging 3 critters I decided on just writing a draft of part of the article and getting that critiqued at a later date. But, now that that later date has come, I realise I might be a little cooked.
If you'd like to read that draft, please let me know!!! It's quite long, about 6k words (ᵕ • ᴗ •), and has various different interviews/ experiments/ text-message excerpts, but any critique would be very, very much appreciated. Thank you!
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a standard humanoid containment unit within Site-50 and allowed to roam the Site's premises for a maximum of 3 hours per day. To ensure adequate rest, SCP-XXXX must not be allowed to leave its containment unit during its nightly curfew from 20:00 to 06:00.
SCP-XXXX is permitted to freely make loan requests from the on-site library, and is also permitted to request for counselling from on-site psychologists or interviews from the XXXX Research Team.
SCP-XXXX is to attend academic and holistic education lessons catered to it by the XXXX Research Team, and care is to be taken to ensure the tasks and assignments issued to it are duly completed. Non-compliance with catered assignments is to be punished through the restriction of its priviledges, including confiscation of its in-unit decorative vegetation, restriction of book-loaning rights and reduction of daily free roam time.
In the event of an uncharacteristic change in SCP-XXXX's disposition lasting longer than 36 hours, immediate counselling should be provided by the XXXX Research Team's Psychological Support Branch.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an adolescent female humanoid, exhibiting no known anomalous anatomy excluding the sparse presence of leaves of species lilium candidum1 in its hair. Though the leaves are indistinguishable from their non-anomalous counterparts, they are incapable of typical function. SCP-XXXX has the capacity to control the size, shape and distribution of the leaves, and will often take deliberate effort to ensure their presentability alongside its hair.
SCP-XXXX is also capable of thaumaturgically manifesting flowers of species lilium candidum amongst the leaves on its head at will, linked to the activation of its anomalous capabilities2.
SCP-XXXX exhibits a strong inclination to carry out acts it deems 'just'. Although it is unable to provide an exact definition of what it deems 'just', from an interview conducted by the XXXX Research Team3, it can be surmised that SCP-XXXX's concept of justice is centred on the principles of justice and compassion4.
SCP-XXXX itself has a reserved disposition, and when free-roaming Site-50, will spend most of its in patronising the on-site Library. Foundation personnel are encouraged to interact with SCP-XXXX. However, as SCP-XXXX is most comfortable with topics it is knowledgable in, it is advised that personnel intending on conversing with SCP-XXXX show interest in, or be well-acquainted with, the various novellas and mangas found within Site-50's on-site Library.
Although SCP-XXXX will show concern when dissatisfactions or personal troubles are brought up in conversation, Foundation personnel are reminded to avoid engaging in such conversation topics. SCP-XXXX is not a trained counsellor5, and as of XX/XX/202X, has not been greenlit as emotionally stable by the XXXX Research Team.
Addendum-XXXX-1: Anomalous Capabilities of SCP-XXXX's White Lily
| Nominal Lily Type | Attributed Capabilities |
|---|---|
| lilium candidum | - Subject becomes enshrouded in a white light 1.5 - █.█x10^█ Lumens in magnitude. The magnitude of the light emitted by the subject varies between viewers6. - Subject experiences a sustained, uninterruptible sensation of serenity7. - Subject enters a state of mental clarity, becoming incapable of incorrectly recalling or being unable to recall all previously held memories, incapable of losing memories through anomalous or non-anomlaous means and incapable of involuntarily losing consciousness. |
Addendum-XXXX-2: Interview Log, conducted by Research Intern Masaru Ishizaki
[[ START OF INTERVIEW LOG ]]
Ishizaki enters the interview room, clutching in his hand a clipboard containing XXXX Research Team Head, Dr. █. ████████'s notes. He glimpses at XXXX with his good eye, wincing slightly, before taking a seat opposite it.
Ishizaki: Good morning, Miss Mae. My name is Masaru Ishizaki, and I’ll be welcoming you to the Foundation today.
XXXX remains silent, its eyes analysing Ishizaki’s posture as he adjusts himself in his chair. His uncovered eyebrow shifts and furrows, and the meeting room observation camera is just able to catch the constriction of his pupil.
Ishizaki: You will be referred to as XXXX from here-on-out during interviews, however, if you have any grievances with that, please do let me know.
XXXX maintains its silence, this time locking eye contact with Ishizaki. Ishizaki opens his mouth as if to continue reading off of his clipboard, but decides against it.
Ishizaki: Is everything alright, Miss Mae?
XXXX: …Am I bright to you, Dr. Ishizaki?
Ishizaki: Sorry. Refer to me as just Ishizaki, please. And, yes, you are slightly bright.
XXXX: Hmm…
Ishizaki: Is something troubling you, Miss?
XXXX: I only appear bright to people who’ve done something wrong. What have you done?
Ishizaki pauses briefly, glancing to check his clipboard.
Ishizaki: I’m sorry. Could you be a little more specific?
XXXX: You know what I mean. I’m not that bright to you, so whatever you’ve done must’ve been the only wrong thing you’ve done in a while.
Ishizaki averts his gaze, facing his head away from the observation camera. At the same time, the white lilies in XXXX’s hair curl up and shrink back within their leaves, and the glimmering aura surrounding XXXX fades entirely.
Ishizaki: Well, I suppose… I did offer my assistance to a colleague for a data crunch they were due to complete today.
XXXX: Mhm…
Ishizaki: And I did end up flaking on them to come conduct this interview. I do suppose I owe him an apology.
XXXX’s white lilies burst back into existence, and its faint glimmer returns in full. XXXX shifts forward slightly and focuses its attention on Ishizaki’s good eye, before settling back into its seat.
XXXX: Okay. Thank you.
Ishizaki: What did you just do?
XXXX: I can't tell if people are lying to me. But, since I didn't get any brighter to you, you must’ve told the truth.
Ishizaki: Ah. Thank you for believing me. May I begin the interview now?
XXXX: Of course, Mister Ishizaki.
Ishizaki: Just Ishizaki please, XXXX.
XXXX glowers at Ishizaki.
Ishizaki: I did mention you would be referred to as XXXX during interviews. It will only be during interviews though, for the purposes of standardisation, so please do bear with me.
XXXX: Fine then, Captain Hook.
Ishizaki gives the camera an exasperated look, before returning his gaze to a giggling XXXX.
XXXX: Sorry, sorry, I’m just playing with you. You just don’t see a lot of people wearing eyepatches, you know?
Ishizaki: Right.
Ishizaki’s brow furrows, and he adjusts himself in his seat.
Ishizaki: May we begin with the interview now?
XXXX: Mhm. Of course. I’m sorry if that upset you.
Ishizaki: It’s quite alright, Miss.
Ishizaki: To start off, to my knowledge, you took part in vigilante work prior to being under Foundation custody. Is that correct?
XXXX: Mm… somewhat? I never actually managed to do anything until I got my lilies.
Ishizaki: What was life like for you then, before the lilies?
XXXX: Not… not the best, Mister Ishizaki. I never liked being around people, and back then I don’t think I was very good at managing my emotions. I still cared about upholding justice, of course, it’s just that having that will but not a way to fulfill it really ended up getting to me.
Ishizaki: That must’ve been a really difficult time. At least now you have the lilies, right?
XXXX: Mhm! I feel a lot more confident now. It’s like… I can actually do something now, you know? I'm useful!
Ishizaki: I understand, Miss.
Ishizaki pauses for a brief moment, adjusting the eyepatch over his right eye.
Ishizaki: Earlier, you mentioned ‘upholding justice’. Could you explain to me what you mean by that?
XXXX: Doing the right thing.
Ishizaki: Could you elaborate, please?
XXXX: Doing something not because it may benefit you, but because it is… fair? Does that make sense?
Ishizaki: What makes something fair to you, Miss?
XXXX: I… I don’t know… sorry, I’ve never really thought about it so deeply. It just sort of comes naturally, you know?
Ishizaki: Like a sort of subconscious understanding?
XXXX: Mhm, I think. Sounds about right.
Ishizaki: So, to you, ‘upholding justice’ can be defined as doing something not out of personal gain, but instead with the intent of ensuring any parties involved are treated equally. Is that correct?
XXXX: Mmh. It’s not just that. It’s about making sure others do the same too.
Ishizaki: Which is why you were a vigilante prior to being in our custody, correct?
XXXX: Mhm.
Ishizaki: Do you regret the things you’ve done?
XXXX: Nope. I think they all got what they deserved.
Ishizaki: Even though what you did was illegal?
XXXX: Well, no one else ever got hurt.
Ishizaki: And how did you know that your targets were really at fault?
XXXX: None of them could even look at me. They’d take a glance and just fall to the floor holding their eyeballs. If that isn’t proof enough, I don’t know what is.
Ishizaki: Are you sure that the white lilies are infallible?
XXXX: …Sorry?
Ishizaki: How do you know they judge a person’s wrongdoings correctly? What if there’s some other mechanism that affects how brightly each person perceives their light?
XXXX remains silent.
Ishizaki: Miss Mae?
XXXX: Sorry, I-, Why would you-
XXXX begins to grasp the edge of the meeting room table, squeezing with enough force to make its fingertips go white.
Ishizaki: Are… are you alright, Miss?
XXXX: I don’t… I don’t know.
Ishizaki: You seem a little panicked, please-
XXXX: Not to that.
XXXX raises its head to face Ishizaki, its breathing shallow and frantic. Its sage green irises shimmer under a sheen of glistening tears.
[[ END OF INTERVIEW LOG ]]
Notes:
- Owing to XXXX's volatility and possible undiagnosed panic disorder, until Dr. Masami and her team of psychoanalysts confirm XXXX's emotional stability, future interviews and/or tests should be conducted with adequate caution to prevent XXXX from experiencing another panic attack.
- XXXX was able to recover within a minute of its panic episode through the use of its white lilies, but has since chosen to refrain from using the lilies’ capabilities.
- Moving forward, I suggest that tests be conducted to verify and quantify XXXX’s claims on the white lilies’ capabilities. Once Dr. Masami and her team have given the greenlight, I propose that another interview be conducted to better elucidate XXXX’s personal beliefs on ‘justice’.
- I have since apologised to Research Intern ███████ for flaking on him. He very much enjoyed the lunch at Starbucks that I treated him to.
Signed, M. Ishizaki, Research Intern
Addendum-XXXX-3: The Effects of SCP-XXXX's Light on various Subjects
| Subject | Reaction to SCP-XXXX's Light | Apparent Magnitude | Recorded Maleficences |
|---|---|---|---|
| Research Intern M. Ishizaki | No reaction. | 150 Lumens | Ishizaki had not committed any maleficences, and had taken fellow intern ███████ out for lunch earlier that day as an apology. |
| Site-50 Janitorial Staff M. Ali | Slight pupil constriction upon initial exposure to SCP-XXXX. | 360 Lumens | Ali later confessed to regularly taking cans of Ayataka Green Tea from the restocking shipments to vending machines located within Site-50. |
| Site-50 Assistant Librarian S. Minoru | A flinch, followed by an inability to directly perceive SCP-XXXX. | 14,000 Lumens | Later examination of on-site security footage shows Ms. Minoru ███████ █████████ in the Level 4 ████████. Ms. Minoru has been temporarily removed from her position and is awaiting disciplinary action. |
| D-27159 | No reaction. | 190 Lumens | Examination of D-27159's background revealed their recruitment through an activation of Protocol 12. |
| D-61106 | Immediate pain response, followed by uncontrollable spasmic fits within the testing chamber. Guards sent in to restrain D-61106 reported smelling a distinct smell of burning hair8. | N/A | Examination of D-66106's background revealed their previous involvement in █████ ███████ ███████████ in ████████. |
| Site-50 Security Department Agent Y. Takahashi | A flinch, followed by an inability to continue assisting in restraining D-66106. | 27,000 Lumens9 | Further investigation revealed Agent Takahashi's involvement in an online Crypto pump-and-dump scheme, which had netted him and his accomplices around ███,███,███¥ in earnings. Victims of the scheme were largely online followers of a Twitch channel, █████, run by Takahashi's son. |
Notes:
- This experiment was conducted in a 5 x 3 x 3 metre testing chamber, illuminated by a pair of 500 Lumen hanging lights. SCP-XXXX and subjects tested were separated by a 2-inch glass wall, and were situated 2.5 metres apart.
- Prior to experimentation, a shutter was used to prevent exposure of SCP-XXXX to the subjects. Subjects were instructed to stare directly into the centre of the glass divider, before the shutter was collapsed, without warning, to reveal SCP-XXXX.
- Following the conclusion of Research Intern Masaru Ishizaki's testing, Ishizaki made an attempt to communicate with SCP-XXXX through the glass divider. Although Ishizaki's verbal encouragement was inaudible through the glass, his gestures of encouragement seemed to positively affect SCP-XXXX's mood throughout the rest of the experiment. SCP-XXXX responded by covering its right eye with a hand.

Subject: Re:SCP-XXXX's Psychological Evaluation
Dear Dr. █. ████████,
Thank you for your assistance in facilitating SCP-XXXX's psychological evaluation over the past month. As of XX/XX/202X, we have determined SCP-XXXX to be of sound mental state.
SCP-XXXX shows results consistent with a DSM-5 diagnosis for anxiety disorder. SCP-XXXX does not show signs of depression nor any other mental condition. SCP-XXXX does not show any signs for maladjustment to being in Foundation custody.
We recommend that SCP-XXXX be allowed to free-roam Site-50 without the direct supervision of any member of the XXXX Research Team, if it chooses to do so. Furthermore, following the SCP-XXXX Test Log dated XX/XX/202X, SCP-XXXX has not shown any hesitation or aversion to utilising its anomalous capabilities, and we do not expect any changes in this regard.
If you have any queries or need for clarification, or if you would like to update me personally on any developments in SCP-XXXX's disposition without filing an official report to the on-site Counselling Department, please feel free to do so.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. O. Masami, Head of the Site-50 Counselling Department and Head of the XXXX Research Team's Psychological Support Branch
Addendum-XXXX-4: SCP-XXXX's Judgements, conducted by XXXX Research Team Head Dr. █. ████████.
[[ START OF INTERVIEW LOG ]]
Dr. █. ████████ enters the meeting room, a laptop in hand. She locks eyes with XXXX, maintaining eye contact until she seats herself across from XXXX.
Dr. █. ████████: Good morning, XXXX.
XXXX: Good morning, Doctor…
Dr. █. ████████: You may address me as Doctor ████████.
[DATA EXPUNGED]
Dr. █. ████████: Do you know what we'll be doing today, XXXX?
XXXX: A… test? The brief Mister Ishizaki gave me said that he- you, sorry, would quiz me on a few scenarios, and then ask me what the right thing to do would be?
Dr. █. ████████: Correct. He was initially scheduled to conduct this interview, as he has done for the previous one, but I elected to take over his role; just for today.
Dr. █. ████████ places a laptop onto the meeting room table, sliding it over for XXXX to comfortably view.
Dr. █. ████████: I will be reading out some scenarios to you, both hypothetical and from history, and you will be given a maximum of 30 seconds, starting from my last word, to give me your judgement as to what should be done. Shall we begin?
XXXX nods.
| Scenario | Judgement |
|---|---|
| 1a) A highschooler steals from a local ice cream store, totalling 550¥ in stolen goods. | A light reprimand, followed by a warning to not commit a repeat offense. |
| 1b) The highschooler comes from a low-income household, and their daily allowance is always entirely spent on meeting basic food needs at school. | Sentence remains unchanged. However, the highschooler should be allowed to make a request for a free sample every week or so. |
| 1c) The ice cream store is located in a low-income portion of the city, and every week, several other highschoolers similarly commit theft on the store. | The highschoolers should additionally be made to recuperate the owner’s lost profits. It is up to the owner’s discretion whether it is in their capability or desire to provide the highschoolers with free samples. |
| 1d) The ice cream store is owned by a large MNC. | Sentence remains unchanged. |
Dr. █. ████████: Why is it that the highschoolers are only made to repay the owner when their theft is committed in large numbers?
XXXX: It’s just to make sure that the business doesn’t end up suffering financially. A lot of local stores operate on really tight margins, Doctor.
Dr. █. ████████: I am aware. But why shouldn’t the repayment be enforced when the theft takes place on a smaller scale?
XXXX: Ideally, the highschooler would be able to pay the store back. But, they’re struggling financially, so I thought that… maybe, giving the owner the chance to exercise some mercy would help them get into a better position in life. Perhaps it's not a lot, and the owner should reserve the right to request for a repayment, but if it's in their capability, then a little kindness might go a long way.
Dr. █. ████████: By that logic, since it is within the capability of the MNC to finance free samples for the larger number of highschoolers, shouldn’t they be made to do so?
XXXX: They should be expected to do so, and in an ideal world they would, but I don’t think they should be made to do so.
Dr. █. ████████: Why not?
XXXX: I’d like to think that they’d give free samples, if given the choice. I like to think that humans are compassionate like that. But I also think it wouldn’t be fair to the corporation to enforce losses from some thefts onto them. They should be able to choose as they please, and if it is such a rampant issue in that portion of the city, then the citizens should go through the proper bureaucratic process to try and petition for change.
Dr. █. ████████: Do you have an interest in politics, XXXX?
XXXX: Oh? Uhm, not really, haha. I’ve just been reading more books from the Library that the Assistant, Miss Minoru… I believe was her name, suggested. I mean, this was- before the whole, you know… I didn’t think she’d do something like that…
Dr. █. ████████: How do you feel about her now?
XXXX: Not much, really. I’m sort of disappointed and disgusted, and when she couldn’t look at me that day I was in such disbelief. To think that if I'd activated my lilies while talking to her a day before… of course- I wouldn't, since that's not allowed… But, anyway, she’s being punished now, and I have faith that the Foundation is giving her what’s due, and that's what matters. I just hope the poor guy gets the help he needs too.
| Scenario | Judgement |
|---|---|
| 2a) A student at a secondary school in ████████ fatally injures a classmate in a knife attack. The student is said to have had a history of altercations with the victim, though none had ever escalated beyond verbal exchanges. | A life sentence. |
| 2b) The student suffered from undiagnosed ████████████, and was suffering from a particularly severe episode when they made the decision to carry out the attack. | A lesser sentence, with possibility for parole, accompanied by the appropriate psychiatric treatment and counselling. |
| 2c) The student had additionally been a target of severe bullying, escalating to physical abuse on occasion, by a group of classmates including the victim. This bullying had been reported on several occasions, though no disciplinary action was ever taken by the school to address it. | A lesser sentence, with possibility for parole, accompanied by the appropriate psychological treatment and counselling. Additionally, the appropriate sentences for the school administration and classmates involved in bullying should also be inflicted. |
Dr. █. ████████: Why do you think the student should be punished in all cases?
XXXX: Because… they killed someone, Doctor? I-, I do think that their sentence should be lessened depending on the circumstances, but that doesn’t change the fact that they willingly chose to plan and execute a murder.
Dr. █. ████████: But are you sure that they willingly chose to do what they did? In circumstances B and C, there’s reason to believe that they felt forced into that choice of action, or perhaps that they weren’t truly of sound mind when the decision was made.
XXXX: I understand, Doctor. But the fact still remains that the murder was committed. I do think that providing them the appropriate support and also bringing the others at fault to justice is necessary, yes, but that doesn’t change the fact that the student has to be brought to justice.
Dr. █. ████████: Humans are imperfect creatures, XXXX. A cat, when cornered, will strike. Would you fault the cat for doing so?
XXXX: I… well, the cat…
Dr. █. ████████: I apologise, that was a lapse in professionalism on my part. You need not answer that.
| Scenario | Judgement |
|---|---|
| 3a) The Head of Human Resources at a law firm hiring new employees has a personal connection with one of the graduates applying for a starting position. Instead of strictly following the hiring criteria provided by management, they elect to hire the graduate they personally know, despite the fact that there are others with better qualifications. | No punishment. |
| 3b) The Head of Human Resources is related to the favourably hired graduate. | The deviation from standard hiring procedures should be reported to the firm's management, and should be made public to the applicants. |
| 3c) The graduate hired by the Head of Human Resources is significantly less capable than other applicants vying for the same position. | The hired graduate should be removed from the position, and the deviation should be reported to the firm's management. |
| 3d) Instead of the Head of Human Resources working at a law firm, the subject is now the █████ ███████ of █████████, favourably hiring a relative to the position of Minister of ███████. | The █████ ███████ should be permanently removed from their position. |
Dr. █. ████████: Is there a reason why the punishment gets more severe the more important the position is?
XXXX: The more important the position, the more people get affected by the injustice. Even if it's the same injustice at heart, the fact that more is at stake- and that the parties are aware that more is at stake- is enough reason to have the punishment be more severe. There’d be a difference between stealing an ice cream and a car, right?
Dr. █. ████████: Very much so.
| Scenario | Judgement |
|---|---|
| 4a) A train is headed down a railroad, incapable of stopping. In its path is a junction, with 5 workers currently operating on one branch, and 1 worker operating on the other. Neither party will realise the train's approach, and will not move out of the way in time to avoid a fatal accident. Currently, a railroad operator observing the situation unfold, is capable of switching the junction to direct the train down either path. It is directed to the 5 workers, but they switch the junction, directing it to the lone worker and killing them instead. | No punishment. |
| 4b) The railroad operator does not switch the junction, and the train kills the 5 workers instead. | No punishment. |
| 4c) The railroad operator switches the junction while the train is traversing it, causing it to derail and destroying the $5.7 million USD worth of cargo. | No punishment. |
| 4d) The railroad operator's derailment instead destroys several life-saving doses of anti-cancerous drugs, severely impeding the recovery efforts of a major hospital and causing the deaths of a few critically ill patients. | No punishment. |
| 4e) It is 1347 AD. A merchant fleet sailing from the Genoese City of Feodosia in Crimea, is bound to dock in the harbours of Messina, Sicily. The Duke of Sicily, privy to the presence of the Bubonic Plague amongst the rats hidden within the stores of at least one vessel, has the power to deny the fleet harbour to prevent the spread of the plague, and possibly save thousands. However, aboard the fleet are at least 500 refugees, fleeing their Crimean homeland out of fear of the invading Tatars. Though it is unknown how many, if at all, are infected with the plague, quarantining the fleet will lead to the deaths of all of them. What should the Duke do? | (The Duke should) Quarantine- (the fleet.) |
XXXX: Wait, hold on, I need more time-
Dr. █. ████████: XXXX, as mentioned at the start, you would be given only 30 seconds to give your response.
XXXX: Well, yeah, but- I don’t know, the scenario was… a little long?
Dr. █. ████████: The timer began after I finished describing the scenario.
XXXX runs its hands through its hair, prompting several white lilies to effloresce upon its head.
Dr. █. ████████: Are you alright, XXXX?
XXXX: Yes, I’m okay. It’s nothing serious. I'm just… nevermind.
Dr. █. ████████: Alright. Regarding scenarios A through D then, may I confirm that you believe that the railroad operator is never at fault?
XXXX: …Yes. I… I believe that given the circumstances and the operator’s lack of options, they can only make such adequate decisions. The outcome cannot be perfect, and perhaps their effort may make the situation actively worse, but it was nevertheless their intention to do the best that they could given their limitations.
Dr. █. ████████: Very well. Then, let us proceed with the final scenario.
| Scenario | Judgement |
|---|---|
| 5) In 1956, as part of █████'s ████ █████ ████████, local authorities systematically hunted and eradicated populations of Passer montanus, the house sparrow, in an attempt to reduce the consumption of fruit and grain by said population. The policy was part of a greater plan to reduce populations of 'pests' in █████, with the intention of reducing disease and securing foodstocks. However, the policy specifically targetting sparrows led to a severe ecological imbalance, instead worsening the consumption of foodstocks by other vermin. The subsequent famine led to an estimated ██,███,███ deaths. | The policymakers are to be hanged. |
Dr. █. ████████: Was the original intent behind the campaign not 'good'?
XXXX: Yes, but regardless, the policy led to the suffering and deaths of a lot… a lot of people.
Dr. █. ████████: Why do you disregard the ‘good’ intent of the policymakers? What difference is there between the intentions of the railroad operator and them?
XXXX: The railroad operator was restrained by a lack of time and options, the policymakers were not.
Dr. █. ████████: Don’t you think that the volatile, uncertain circumstances of 1950s █████ could be argued to be similarly limiting, both time-wise and resource-wise to the policymakers of that time?
XXXX: I… I suppose, but…
Dr. █. ████████: What is the difference between the two of them? Perhaps, it is another case of magnitude, as it was in scenarios 3B through D?
XXXX: …Maybe.
Dr. █. ████████: At what point then, does the railroad operator’s actions go from excusable to punishable by the death penalty?
XXXX opens its mouth as if to speak, but decides against it. The white lilies on its head remain prominent, and it stays silent and unmoving, its eyes unfocused as if in thought.
Dr. █. ████████: Do you think it would be possible to quantify your judgments? To measure and graduate them?
XXXX remains silent.
Dr. █. ████████: XXXX?
The silence continues for a few seconds, before Dr. █. ████████ withdraws her laptop from the table.
Dr. █. ████████: My apologies, XXXX. This concludes our interview today. Would you like anything from the cafeteria?
XXXX does not answer.

Addendum-XXXX-5: SCP-XXXX's Self-Efflorescence
As of XX/XX/202X, SCP-XXXX's anomalous capabilities, represented by its manifestation of lilium candidum, have since expanded. SCP-XXXX now possesses the ability to manifest flowers of species alstroemeria aurea10, and similarly maintains access to a set of capabilities represented by said flower species.
Attached below are the records of a text exchange between SCP-XXXX and Research Intern Masaru Ishizaki, immediately prior to the expansion of SCP-XXXX's capabilities ██ hours later.

SCP-XXXX is currently pending reclassification.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a standard humanoid containment unit within Site-50 and and allowed to roam the Site for a maximum of 2 hours per day. To ensure adequate rest, SCP-XXXX must not be allowed to leave its containment unit during its nightly curfew from 18:00 to 06:00.
When roaming the Site, SCP-XXXX must be accompanied by a member of the XXXX Research Team at all times, and is not allowed to exercise any of its anomalous capabilities outside of the bounds of its containment unit, unless permission is given otherwise by Dr. █. ████████.
SCP-XXXX must additionally wear an emotional recognition sensor at all times when roaming the Site. Functionality of the sensor is to be checked daily, prior to SCP-XXXX's self-allocated free-roam time. In the event of malfunction, SCP-XXXX is not to be allowed to leave its containment unit until the sensor has been replaced or repaired.
In the event of the sensor identifying readings of a heightened emotional state, the XXXX Research Team member accompanying SCP-XXXX is to immediately begin the process of returning it to its containment unit.
To mediate the possible distress SCP-XXXX may experience due to the updated containment procedures, SCP-XXXX is permitted to arrange for the shipment of books from the on-site Library directly to its containment unit. The in-unit SCiPNET Terminal provisioned to it has also been expanded to include the full capabilities of the on-site Library's consoles.
SCP-XXXX is to continue attending the academic and holistic education lessons catered to it by the XXXX Research Team, with similar restriction-based penalties in the event of non-compliance in completing assigned coursework.
In the event of an uncharacteristic change in SCP-XXXX's disposition lasting longer than 18 hours, immediate counselling should be provided by the XXXX Research Team's Psychological Support Branch.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a female humanoid, exhibiting no known anomalous anatomy excluding the presence of leaves of species lilium candidum11 in its hair. The leaves are incapable of typical function, and SCP-XXXX has the capacity to control their size, shape and distribution; often taking deliberate effort to ensure their presentability alongside its hair.
SCP-XXXX has the capacity to thaumaturgically manifest three species of flowers12 nominally referred to as 'Lilies' amongst the leaves on its head at will, linked to the activation of its anomalous abilities13.
SCP-XXXX is postulated to have the capacity to develop manifestations of different types of 'lilies' in response to strong internal desires. The manifestation of each type of 'lily' can be linked to the circumstance of its genesis through its symbolism in Hanakotoba (花言葉), Japanese floriography.14.
SCP-XXXX exhibits a strong inclination15 to carry out acts it deems 'just'16. Although it is unable to provide an exact definition of what it deems 'just'17, it can be surmised that SCP-XXXX's concept of justice is centred on the principles of fairness and compassion18.
SCP-XXXX19 itself2021 may appear reserved, and will spend most of her horribly limited free-roam time patronising the on-site Library. However, do not let this discourage you from talking to her! Although she may be shy and find it difficult to hold conversations at times22, she is more than willing and eager to listen to what you have to say23. While she may not be able to immediately assist you with any problems you may be facing, soon enough, you'll be able to put in a request to [DATA EXPUNGED]24 to have her formally come and help you25.
Addendum-XXXX-1: What Mae's Lilies Do
| Nominal Lily Type | Attributed Capabilities26 |
|---|---|
| lilium candidum | - Subject becomes enshrouded in an aura of white light, the brightness of which depends on how unjust or unkind the person perceiving it has been. The pain or physical trauma inflicted by the brightness of this aura is equal to the pain that the person perceiving it has caused other people through their unjust and unkind actions. - Subject experiences an uninterruptible feeling of serenity27. - Subject assumes perfect mental clarity, becoming incapable of incorrectly recalling or being unable to recall all previously held memories28. Subject also becomes incapable of losing memories and incapable of involuntarily losing consciousness. - Subject also notes that her hair has begun to turn white, particularly in streaks where instances of lilium candidum are typically manifested. This is likely due to the increased potency of the aforementioned lily's effects29, and it may be assumed that this morphological change will spread to include the colours of alstroemeria aurea and convallaria majalis respectively30. |
| alstroemeria aurea | - Subject can now bless anyone it can see, so long as they have done more just and kind deeds than unjust and unkind ones in their life31. - Subject also notes that she experiences a strange feeling of 'connection' to those healed by alstroemeria aurea32. |
| convallaria majalis | - Subject knows whenever information about her is being communicated, in any and all mediums. - Subject is able to alter the information being communicated, and both the source and recipient of the information are unable to accept the newly altered information as untrue33. - While the information cannot be seen as wrong, recipients of the information at a later time can recognise that the information has been altered. - Subject would like the readers to note that she did not lie in any way during the writing of this list3435. |
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a standard humanoid containment unit within Site-50 and allowed to roam the Site's premises for a maximum of 1 hour per day. All on-site personnel are to avoid engaging in emotionally provocative conversations with SCP-XXXX, and all individual interactions with SCP-XXXX are to last not longer than 5 minutes.
If SCP-XXXX is determined to have developed an emotional connection to any individual within the Site, they are to be relieved of their duty for a minimum of 5 days to ensure sufficient degradation of SCP-XXXX's attachment.
Foundation personnel involved in work with SCP-XXXX involving high amounts of social interaction, including educational staff and on-site psychiatrists, are to be regularly rotated between sessions to ensure that weekly interaction with SCP-XXXX does not exceed a maximum of 2 hours.
All personnel involved in research work with SCP-XXXX are to maintain a strictly clinical and professional tone when interacting with SCP-XXXX.
In the event of an uncharacteristic change in SCP-XXXX's disposition lasting longer than 36 hours, SCP-XXXX is to be encouraged to indulge in pro-active non-social activities it enjoys, such as reading, writing and illustration.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an adolescent female humanoid of Japanese descent, bearing a ring of leaves and flowers of the White Lily, in the likeness of a crown, encircling the crown and temples of its head.
SCP-XXXX is capable of thaumaturgically manifesting the flowers of 436 other species, all nominally referred to as 'lillies', within its crown. At any one point in time, SCP-XXXX is capable of bearing at most two species of flowers on its crown, indicating the anomalous capabilities it is currently able to employ.
SCP-XXXX, while bearing the flowers of the White Lily, is predisposed to further developing anomalous capabilities. The development of new anomalous capabilities is linked to the emergence of a new species of flower within its crown, and is directly correlated to the frequency and severity of emotionally provocative incidents SCP-XXXX experiences.
Conjecture suggests that each 'lily' SCP-XXXX is capable of manifesting represents a different facet of SCP-XXXX's emotional development, and that SCP-XXXX will continue to progress in strength and capacity if not properly secluded from excessive emotional stimulation and maintained at a baseline level of emotional stability.
Owing to the volatility of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties, and the unpredictability of further emergence of other lillies, SCP-XXXX is to be barred from operating in any fieldwork and is to be permanently relieved of duty from MTF Alpha-9.
| Lily Type | Attributed Capabilities |
|---|---|
| lilium candidum | - Subject becomes enshrouded in a white light 1.5 - █.█x10^█ Lumens in magnitude. Subject is capable of manipulating light radiated in this manner, bending and focusing it at-will. - Subject experiences a sustained, uninterruptible sensation of serenity37. - Subject enters a state of mental clarity, becoming incapable of incorrectly recalling or being unable to recall all previously held memories, incapable of losing memories through anomalous or non-anomlaous means and incapable of involuntarily losing consciousness. |
| alstroemeria aurea | - Subject possesses the ability to thaumaturgically heal any entity within a █-kilometre radius it perceives as 'just' and 'pure'. Entities healed in this manner become 'anchors' for SCP-XXXX, and so long as they remain 'just' and 'pure', SCP-XXXX cannot be terminated38. |
| convallaria majalis | - Subject possesses the ability to drastically raise levels of EVE present in a ███-metre radius surrounding it. For the duration of convallaria majalis' activation, entities within the affected area become proficient in the use of EVE and the practice of thaumatology. - Subject exhibits cognitohazardous properties, and individuals directly perceiving SCP-XXXX experience an anomalous adoration of its pursuit of the virtues of 'justice' and 'purity'. - Subject becomes capable of expanding the radius of convallaria majalis' influence to encompass written or digital information regarding it, directly affecting both the information and individuals perceiving the information. |
story to convey: the death of young hope
the idea that as you grow older, you slowly lose the 'magic' in life as reality and its limitations sets in is i think, idk imo i feel like its pretty prevalent among most people. more and more doors close on you as you age, more and more things seem out of reach as time marches on, and every other day feels like another missed opportunity, another regret to dwell on.
the young hope that once existed in you, the naive dreams you had for 'someday' that never came to be, the endless possibilities that now elude you because of things you failed to do in the past; a past you cannot change. all of these perish with time, and their passing leaves a cratering void in one's heart filled only by a garish scar that only mimics the star that once was.
as such, we bear witness to the rise of a star, and the inevitable fall of one as it and the foundation's alignments fall out of place.
initially, SCP XXXX presented to the foundation with only Shirayuri, a byproduct of a (as of then unknown) pistiphage feeding on SCP XXXX's desire for a fair, just and pure world. a desire strong, and naive, enough to manifest into real strength.
initially, the foundation used as her a Thaumiel Class SCP, allowing her to bring to reality her idea of a fair, justice and pure world by working with them to capture and suppress other SCPs. and over time, she gained access to the other lillies, through pivotal experiences correlating to the lillies' symbolism.
she gains alstroemeria, suzuran and oniyuri in this manner
eventually, as her power began to grow unchecked, she became more of a threat than an asset, and the foundation began to pull back on their cooperative efforts. fear began to grow amongst the staff, and eventually the idea that she may be allowed to bring about her concept of a 'fair, justice and pure' world became more alarming than agreeable.
they began to contain her more. they were more cautious. she was confused. what was going on?
there were lesser missions, more time spent being examined, more time spent locked away. she couldnt bring about justice like that, now could she? so why was she being held back?
their ideals continued to diverge, and eventually the naive hope she once held began to be marred by distrust and hostility.
she gained manjushage out of despair, and the foundation was more than ever on high alert. the idea that she may have been capable of scaling even within confinement was nigh terrifying, and fear continued to press the issue onwards, down the bloody path of no return.
eventually, distrust turned to irritation, irritation turned to uncooperativeness, and uncooperativeness turned to violence. she gained sayuri, and that was when the two came to blows.
at the end of the conflict, the foundation manages to suppress and recontain SCP XXXX. by protocol, they overload her with amnestics, employing deep and thorough psychological manipulation to convince her that she doestn have Shirayuri. and through challenging, strangling and suffocating that very faith, that very hope that she once held, she lost the lily.
and without purity to guide her, there remained no other virtues with which she could hold onto. there was nothing just that she could do, no evidence of purity in her actions, no capacity for fairness on her part.
the star had fallen, and as she continued to rot in containment an amnestic, mentally repressed version of her former self, the other lillies soon began to wilt.
until eventually, none remained, and she gained the classification, Neutralised.
inwards
Shirayuri (Purity) (Inalterability) (Perfect Scale)
light powers, allows for mental clarity, purity and the rationality to maintain discretion and stand up to fear
Alstroemeria (Love) (Invulnerability) (Unyielding Hope)
healing powers, heals or otherwise enhances someone who has done something just or worthy, then making that person into an anchor that prevents her death; expires when that act is undone, or the subject stops being just
Manjushage (Mourning) (Restoration) (Crushing Grief)
restorative powers, activated on feeling regret, and at the cost of pain/loss proportional to whatever is being restored
outwards
Suzuran (Sweetness) (Psionics) (Beckoning Persuasion)
reality bending, recreates the world around one based on where they most wish they could be, where they find most safe, if they are undeserving of being wherever they are currently
Oniyuri (Wealth) (Thaumaturgy) (Sharing Compassion)
wish powers, wishes can only be granted to one who has done something just, if a wish is granted to someone, she gains the ability to manifest something of equal value
Sayuri (Hatred) (Destruction) (Punishing Raze)
fire powers, burning things from existence, scales to how much cumulative suffering has been endured by everyone affected by the lillies
hello this is the planning of the article's structure
begins with Thaumiel classification
lists SCP XXXX's (Aimi's/A's) description and standard humanoid containment procedures
has logs of A's contributions to the Foundation (assisting in combat with GOI, assisting with other SCP protocols, eg. 8007 Protocol Pyroclasm)
gains Alstroemeria and Suzuran over the course of the contributions (Alstroemeria from YYY, Suzuran from an interview log during a down period resulting from the unexpected emergence of Alstroemeria)
reclassified as Keter
SCP XXXX's relieved from Alpha-9 fieldwork, contained fully and provided with counselling
has logs of A interacting with Site personnel, Staff attempt to maintain A's mental state to prevent emergent of further lillies
gains Oniyuri even in spite of Foundation efforts (Oniyuri from reading a book about 978)
is continued to learn about other SCPs, though deprived of regular human contact out of uncertainty amongst adminstration on how to limit the emergence of the lillies. A begs Staff to activate its Oniyuri (out of a desire to attempt to create another 'Room' as per 1762's article. denied)
gains Manjushage spontaneously (Manjushage from the continued deprivation, lack of freedom, inability to do work, inability to do anything. a constant feeling of limitation and restriction)
begins to display antagonism towards the Foundation, closes off to attempts at counselling
administration attempts Protocol Newbloom (to erase A's knowledge of Shirayuri, preventing her activation of the lily and arresting the creation of subsequent lillies through a lack of purity)
gains Sayuri upon the failure of Newbloom, breaches
reclassified as Euclid
recontainment of A, success of Wiltflower (Newbloom reworked)
A is unaware of Shirayuri, and is kept contained as per standard humanoid procedure to maintain the status quo
begins to lose the other lillies, beginning with Alstroemeria and continuing temporally onto Sayuri
attempts to re-invoke Shirayuri fail
reclassified as Neutralised
hello this is the magical girl's timeline
begins with Thaumiel classification
-A-1: Powerset of Shirayuri, Alstroemeria and Suzuran
-C-1: Initial interview of A by Lead Researcher Dr. XXXX, regarding the incident that led to A's capture and containment by the Foundation
- establish A's personality, her ideals, her willingness to mete out punishment, and highlight the capabilities of Shirayuri. (dr's notes: investigate further into how strict containment has to be for A)
-C-1B: Dr notes on the victim of A's attack, Dr personally approves of A's punishment
-C-2: Follow up interview to solidify A's ideals, and what A means by justice and purity
-C-2B: Dr notes on giving A an education and to help her develop emotionally, Dr believes A is a good person at heart and has potential to be a very useful Foundation asset in the future
-B-1: Initial experiment to better understand A's functions, what Shirayuri can do, what kind of punishments are dealt out and what factors affect their severity, the effects of stressors on her performance, etc
-B-1B: Dr notes that A has adjusted well to Foundation life, and will try to get clearance to have her do fieldwork
-D-1: A's first exercise, works with Site-50 guards to practice a defense of the site in the event of a Chaos Insurgency attack + mass breach
-D-1B: Dr notes that A cooperated very well with the guards, and despite her relative inexperience her cooperativeness and ability to heed commands made her very effective
-D-2: A goes on escort missions for foundation shipments, including to sites within 8007 instances. after a conflict with the Chaos Insurgency nearly wipes out A's escort team, she develops Alstroemeria in defense of them
-C-3: Interview on what happened during the leadup to the development of Alstroemeria, Dr attempts to determine what happened precisely. A otherwise appears fine, and happier than ever.
-C-3B: Dr notes that elucidating the cause behind the development of a new lily is the Site's top priority, and extra care should be taken when working with A to prevent further development
-C-3C: Dr notes the development of Suzuran, after A interacts with the partner of one of her team members she saved, who had sought A out specifically to thank her dearly. Dr requests reclassification of XXXX.
reclassified as Euclid
- this entire section of addenda is to be altered directly by SCP-XXXX through their use of Suzuran, and will be presented as SCP-XXXX's personal narration of the foundation's documentation in literature form. slight hints at the seizure of control should be left in the form of altered footnotes, and other small features (like illustration description)
Candidum: introduction
Alstroemeria: SCP-XXXX goes over the numerous interaction logs she had with Site personnel
Convallaria: SCP-XXXX talks about the unfortunate flaws in humanity, remarks on the regrettability of the situation, of the degradation of relations between her and the foundation. of how she has been reduced to tampering with the files she so enjoyed reading through once
Lancifolium: SCP-XXXX talks about the unending nature of her power, of how lillies continue to arise even when the foundation tries to suppress her. how despite everything they do, all the restrictions they put on her, she yet continued to grow. if only they had allowed her to continue doing what she did, instead of giving into their fears.
Bulbiferum: SCP-XXXX goes over the breaching log, though no triumphantly.
Lycoris: SCP-XXXX mourns the loss of the past. that perhaps things could be different, tone is very different from the gleefulness of the previous chapters.
- untampered portion
Operation Wiltflower. The only untampered part of the file, protected by several additional layers of security (higher clearance) and other defenses. Details the plan to contain SCP-XXXX. Remarks at the end that the alterations made by SCP-XXXX have been kept for archival sake, and that SCP-XXXX, as of XX/XX/202X, has been Neutralised
Special Containment Procedures: Operation Wandbreak is to be maintained at all times to ensure that SCP XXXX remains contained within the 2400km2 naval exclusion zone demarcated 'Majokko-1', located 100km south of the Ogasawara Archipelago.
Following Operation Wandbreak, MTF Iota-49 "Villains", and corresponding FCSG 7 are to remain in continuous operation within Majokko-1, supported by detachments of Lambda-4 "Birdwatchers" and Eta-5 "Jaeger Bombers" through Protocols Whisper and Birdshot respectively. In the event of a containment breach, and the subsequent failures of supporting Protocols, the nuclear warhead located on Ogasawara is to be immediately detonated by Foundation staff stationed aboard FCSG 7.
Description: SCP-XXXX's base appearance is that of an adolescent female humanoid of Japanese descent, with a pair of wings resembling that of species icthyophaga leucogaster fused to its scapulae. It possesses a black sceptre wrapped in white silk, designated SCP-XXXX-1, that has been identified as the conduit for SCP-XXXX's anomalous capabilities.
Periodically, SCP-XXXX gains the capacity to transform at-will into the form of a Large-Scale Aggressor closely resembling the 'Itsumade' in Japanese mythological folklore, wherein which SCP-XXXX-1 becomes fully integrated into its body. In an event of a transformation, MTF Eta-5 is to be activated immediately via Protocol Birdshot to return SCP-XXXX to its base form. The factors affecting the time between activations of SCP-XXXX's transformation are as of yet unknown.
SCP-XXXX, when engaged in combat with the Foundation in both humanoid and LSA forms, has been observed:
- Conjuring and channeling instances of electrostatic discharge 5 to 15 gigajoules in magnitude
- Altering the temperature and humidity of air within a column of radius 8km around it
- Telekinetically exerting up to 45 meganewtons of force on fluids within the aforementioned column of influence
- Imitating human speech through the telekinetic generation of sound waves within the atmosphere. Speech created by SCP-XXXX in this manner is cognitohazardous and has been recorded inducing a state of heightened panic in affected subjects
- Withstanding direct hits from FCSG 7's Sagittarius-Class Railguns. SCP-XXXX's capability to withstand physical trauma is directly correlated to the degree of 'hope' it feels, best estimated by the degree of damage it has successfully inflicted on Foundation assets in the past 24 hours
The activation of SCP-XXXX's anomalous anatomy, capabilities and the manifestation of SCP-XXXX-1 is contingent on its perception of an 'injustice' committed by another sapient being. When such a perception is made by SCP-XXXX, the aforementioned anomalous phenomena begin immdiately, and SCP-XXXX will enter an aggravated state where it will attempt to locate and punish the perceived 'evil-doer'.
The severity of the punishment depends on the cruelty of the perceived injustice, with worse injustices provoking harsher punishments.
If isolated from any injustices, SCP-XXXX will grow increasingly sensitive, becoming more easily activated over time. Furthermore, SCP-XXXX exhibits the ability to re-attribute the accountability of a perceived injustice, employing cognitive reasoning to place the 'blame' on a subject other than the one directly committing the injustice wherever it deems fit.
If SCP-XXXX is successful in punishing a perceived 'evil-doer', it will return to its base form. When approached while in its base form regarding matters of its activated state, SCP-XXXX demonstrates relative disinterest and an eagerness to change the topic of conversation.
Addendum XXXX-A-1: Operation Wandbreak
Operation Wandbreak is a systematic set of combative, supportive, logistical and observational operations carried out under the primary supervision of MTF Iota-49. It involves FCSG 7, supported by several ancillary Foundation flotillas.
Under Operation Wandbreak, FCSG 7 is to patrol Majokko-1, forming three rings of patrolling vessels, positioned 14, 21 and 28km from the centre of the exclusion zone. FCSG 7 is to keep SCP-XXXX engaged in combat with Foundation assets at all times, and routine resupply, substitution and maintenance missions are to take place to ensure the integrity of the fleet.
Routine enlistment and drafting of crewmen deemed suitable [FTA, A-5] for MTF Iota-49 to the Foundation naval base at Site-277-A is to take place to ensure timely reinforcement of FCSG 7.
Research personnel and MTF Lambda-4 are to be stationed at the Foundation observatory at Site-277-B, and ancillary MTF Eta-5 is to remain operational in a separate observational ring positioned 40km from the centre of Majokko-1.
Addendum XXXX-A-2: Protocol Whisper
In the event of SCP-XXXX exhibiting signs of non-hostility or attempting to disengage from Foundation assets, MTF Lambda-4 is to be immediately activated and deployed to Majokko-1. SCP-XXXX is to remain tracked and closely monitored by both Site-277-B's Observatory and Lambda-4 units in the airspace within the exclusion zone.
MTF Lambda-4 is permitted to both attempt communication and engage in diversional skirmishes with SCP-XXXX if deemed necessary to maintain the integrity of the entity's containment. Lambda-4 is also to observe and record SCP-XXXX's behaviour to expedite the diagnosis of SCP-XXXX's behavioural changes by Foundation personnel stationed within Site-227-B.
Once a diagnosis has been achieved, on-site psychologists are to establish communication with SCP-XXXX via Lambda-4 and employ the use of manipulative, persuasive and/or coercive tactics to reinstate SCP-XXXX's hostility towards MTF Iota-49.
Addendum XXXX-A-3: Protocol Birdshot
All control over Operation Wandbreak is to be transferred to MTF Eta-5 while Protocol Birdshot is active.
In the of event of SCP-XXXX initiating a transformation event into an LSA, MTF Eta-5 is to immediately deploy into the 28km ring encircling Majokko-1. All FCSG 7 vessels are to advance on SCP-XXXX's position and engage it in simultaneous combat to ensure it remains within a 2km radius of its original location upon transforming.
Upon successful restraint of SCP-XXXX, Eta-5 is granted permission to authorise the use of Foundation heavy artillery stationed on both Sites 277-A and 277-B and of heavy weaponry present on ancillary Foundation vessels under Eta-5 within Majokko-1; lasting until the suppression of SCP-XXXX following the infliction of sufficient physical trauma.
While Protocol Birdshot remains active, the suppression of SCP-XXXX out of its LSA form is to remain as FCSG 7's top priority, and incremental activation and temporary deployment of reserves harboured in Sites 277-A and 277-B are permitted for every 4 hours SCP-XXXX remains as an LSA.
Upon the suppression of SCP-XXXX's LSA form, Protocol Birdshot is to be de-activated and typical procedures as per Operation Wandbreak are to be resumed.

The Magical Girl
The point of the article will be to present the Foundation as fundamentally unjust, yet still protagonistic, to invoke feelings of discomfort and conflict within readers
The SCP, whilst a threat to humanity and rightfully contained, should be easily sympathised with and understood by the readers
As such, the Magical Girl will embody the principles of 'Fairness' and 'Equity', doing things in the name of kindness
—-
The general idea for the Magical Girl's anomalous properties are that they arise only when she, personally, begins to feel 'injustice' or 'wrongness' in her vicinity (ie, she transforms into a Magical Girl whenever evil is around)
The catch is that the magnitude of the anomalous effects greatly outscale the severity of the activating triggers, thereby prompting a Foundation response to contain the spread of the anomaly
The page immediately begins with the containment procedures for the SCP, detailed and daunting. This is then contrasted by the first few logs and addendums, records from prior to the Foundation's adoption of the Tiamat Containment Class for the SCP. The records detail the initial attempts to compromise with the Magical Girl, the subsequent realisation of its impossibility, and the resignation and defeat of the Head Researcher for the SCP.
—-
The containment procedures involve multiple MTFs engaged in near open warfare with the Magical Girl, including MTF Theta-5 "The Bigger Boat", MTF Lambda-4 "Birdwatchers" and MTF Eta-5 "Jaegar Bombers". The Magical Girl is to be staged in an area of open ocean, engaged by Foundation naval assets supported by the Japanese navy (MTF Iota-49 "Villains") under the premise of a naval exercise. Theta-5 maintains the integrity of the exclusion zone, Lambda-4 observes the movement of the Magical Girl within the exclusion zone and Eta-5 provides ancillary fire when required to maintain the containment of the Magical Girl.
The primary force of the containment effort, MTF Iota-49, is specifically designed to be staffed by those of, 'compromised' morality, those deemed 'villainous' by the Magical Girl (as per Interview Log XX). The Magical Girl garners strength from fighting those she deems 'villainous', and she seeks out 'evil' to engage in combat with. By presenting her 'evil' via Iota-49, she remains contained within the exclusion zone.
The resolution to engage the Magical Girl in combat was due to the observation that prolonged periods of isolating her from 'evil' makes her more sensitive to lesser 'evils', thus increasing her risk of activation.
The final incident leading to the activation of the current standing Tiamat-Class protocol involves the Magical Girl's realisation of the Head Researcher's evil; that is, choosing to relentlessly pursue her ideal for the Magical Girl, even if at the expense of the Foundation and civilian lives at risk. It is the Magical Girl's realisation that the Head Researcher's endeavours were born out of a need to fulfill a self-yearning to repent for her failure to raise her own daughter, not out of a kindness for the Magical Girl. It is that that lead to the triggering incident, and the subsequent adoption of the current containment procedures.

contaiment: open warfare.
Operation Wandbreak is to be maintained at all times to ensure that SCP XXXX remains contained within the 2400km2 naval exclusion zone demarcated 'Majokko-1', located 100km south of the Ogasawara Archipelago.
In the event of a containment breach, and the subsequent failures of supporting Protocols, the nuclear warhead located on Ogasawara is to be immediately detonated by Foundation staff stationed aboard FCSG 7.
description: magical girl.
SCP-XXXX's base appearance is that of an adolescent female humanoid of Japanese descent, with a pair of wings resembling that of species icthyophaga leucogaster fused to its scapulae. It possesses a black sceptre wrapped in white silk, designated SCP-XXXX-1, that has been identified as the conduit for SCP-XXXX's anomalous capabilities.
Periodically, SCP-XXXX gains the capacity to transform at-will into the form of a bird closely resembling the 'Itsumade' in Japanese mythological folklore, wherein which SCP-XXXX-1 becomes fully integrated into its body. In an event of a transformation, MTF Eta-5 is to be activated immediately via Protocol Kaiju to return SCP-XXXX to its base form [FTA incident log, mid battle]. The factors affecting the time between activations of SCP-XXXX's transformation are as of yet unknown.
SCP-XXXX, when engaged in combat with the Foundation in both humanoid and avian forms, has been observed:
- Conjuring and channeling electrostatic discharge 5 to 15 gigajoules in magnitude
- Altering the temperature and humidity of air within a column of radius 8km around it
- Telekinetically exerting up to 45 meganewtons of force on fluids within the aforementioned column of influence
- Imitating human speech through the telekinetic generation of sound waves within the atmosphere. Speech created by SCP-XXXX in this manner is cognitohazardous and has been recorded induced a state of heightened panic in affected subjects
- Withstanding direct hits from FCSG Iota-49's Sagittarius-Class Railguns. SCP-XXXX's capability to withstand physical trauma is directly correlated to the degree of 'hope' it feels, best measured by the degree of damage it has successfully inflicted on Foundation assets in the past 24 hours
[FTA, Experiments B-4, B-5]
If isolated from any injustices, SCP-XXXX will grow increasingly sensitive, becoming more easily activated over time. Furthermore, SCP-XXXX exhibits the ability to re-attribute the accountability of a perceived injustice, employing cognitive reasoning to place the 'blame' on a subject other than the one directly committing the injustice. [FTA, Incident C-1]
addendum: protocols, operations.
In the of event of SCP-XXXX initiating a transformation event into its avian form, MTF Eta-5 is to immediately deploy into the 28km ring encircling Majokko-1. All FCSG 7 vessels are to advance on SCP-XXXX's position and engage it in simultaneous combat to ensure it remains within a 2km radius of its original location upon transforming.
Upon successful restraint of SCP-XXXX, Eta-5 is permitted to authorise the use of Foundation heavy artillery stationed on both Sites 277-A and 277-B and of heavy weaponry present on ancillary Foundation vessels under Eta-5 within Majokko-1.
While Protocol Birdshot remains active, the suppression of SCP-XXXX out of its avian form is to remain as FCSG 7's top priority, and incremental activation and temporary deployment of reserves harboured in Sites 277-A and 277-B are permitted for every 4 hours SCP-XXXX remains in its avian form.
Upon the suppression of SCP-XXXX's avian form, Protocol Birdshot is to be de-activated and typical procedures as per Operation Wandbreak are to be resumed.
Addendum XXXX-A-4: MTF Iota-49 "Villains"
based off of Interview B-3
addendum: interview logs, experimental logs
Addendum XXXX-B-1: Incident Log (initial incident)
Addendum XXXX-B-2: Interview Log XX/XX/XXXX (Initial interaction between HR and SCP-XXXX, HR asks XXXX about the incident, HR resolves to try and find a way to contain XXXX ethically)
Addendum XXXX-B-3: Interview Log XX/XX/XXXX (HR asks in more detail about what SCP-XXXX considers 'unjust'. HR decides to experiment more to understand more deeply about SCP-XXXX's triggers and factors affecting its anomalous phenomena)
Addendum XXXX-B-4: Experiment Log 1 (HR gets several D-Classes to come and do various 'injustices' as defined per B-3. the 'injustices' vary in severity, experiment cut prior to completion of latter more severe half due to extrenous circumstances)
Addendum XXXX-B-5: Experiment Log 2 (HR gets subordinate to resume B-4. ends in SCP-XXXX breaching and killing the subordinate in C-1)
Addendum XXXX-C-1: Breaching Log (SCP-XXXX breaches containment, kills subordinate heading B-5 before willingly recontaining self)
Addendum XXXX-B-6: Interview Log XX/XX/XXXX (HR asks SCP-XXXX about Incident C-1, SCP-XXXX appears nonchalant and tries to change the subject)
Addendum XXXX-B-7: Interview Log XX/XX/XXXX (As per SCP-XXXX's request to speak to HR. SCP-XXXX expresses discomfort, feels highly sensitive and overtuned. HR agrees to deliver more 'villains' to SCP-XXXX)
Addendum XXXX-B-8: Experiment Log 3 (HR gets a subordinate to provide SCP-XXXX with several high profile D-Class and presents SCP-XXXX their past injustices. SCP-XXXX does appears to visibly worsen over the course of the experiment. she recognises that the D-Classes do not remember their past crimes, and though she dispatches them as per usual, her sense of injustice remains aggravated.)
Addendum XXXX-B-9: Interview Log XX/XX/XXXX (HR interviews SCP-XXXX on its mental state post B-8. SCP-XXXX spirals, recognising that HR does not care for her subordinates. it recognises that the D-Class, though deserving of punishment in the past, did not fully understand their situation in the present. it recognises that HR does not want the best for it, but rather that HR wants to be able to keep it contained, falsely sating its primordial desires for 'justice', faking and staging the good deeds it performs. SCP-XXXX realises the hollowness of the situation, recognises HR as evil, and breaches.)
Addendum XXXX-C-3: Breaching Log (SCP-XXXX breaches containment, manifests its avian form. the Foundation scrambles Operation Wandbreak in order to recontain it. object class designation updated)
