Item #: SCP-8913
Object Class: Euclid/Keter
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-8913 is contained in a 12m × 12m cell composed of a titanium-tungsten alloy. The cell is monitored via surveillance cameras, and at least four staff members must remain in the observation room at all times to prevent SCP-8913's escape.
Every four days, the cell must be repaired due to cracks created by SCP-8913 attempting to escape. The room is coated with a special material that blocks its anomalous effects.
In the event of a containment breach, Protocol NAUTILUS must be activated, which involves summoning all staff members within a 120-meter radius to recontain the SCP. The observation room's windows are made of a steel rendered invisible using a slimy substance obtained from SCP-⬛️⬛️⬛️.
Description:
SCP-8913 is a 7-year-old fox composed entirely of moonstone. This material grants SCP-8913 three primary anomalous effects:
1. Regeneration from even a single remaining cell.
2. Radiation emission capable of causing death within a 50-meter radius.
3. Immunity to most Foundation weaponry.
SCP-8913 weighs 79 kg and appears to dislike humans. However, fatalities that occur in its presence are due to its radiation effects, not deliberate aggression.
After extensive testing, Foundation researchers managed to breach the moonstone layer of SCP-8913 and discovered a core inside its stomach resembling that of Earth's core.
Addendum 1: Discovery
SCP-8913 was discovered at the site of a meteor crash in the Apennines, Italy, on 09/17/1982. Due to its anomalous effects, MTF BETA-7 "Maz Hatters" was dispatched for recovery. Although their suits were not fully resistant to SCP-8913's effects, they successfully transported it to the helicopter. Upon arrival at the Site, a containment cell was prepared. Of the retrieval team, 3 members died and 2 survived. The crash site was cordoned off for further study.
Addendum 2: Testing
At 10:37, a Class-D personnel was sent into SCP-8913’s cell and instructed to approach it. SCP-8913 moved to the opposite corner.
After 15 minutes, the Class-D began coughing, experiencing memory loss, and developing blisters. After 30 minutes, symptoms included high blood pressure, breathing difficulties, and fever. At the 45-minute mark, the subject lost consciousness and died 5 minutes later.
An autopsy revealed:
1. A tooth had grown inside the heart.
2. The lungs were filled with blisters.
3. The intestines had shrunk by 5 cm.
4. The liver had a 3 cm hole.
Following this test, anti-anomaly suits resistant to SCP-8913’s effects were developed.
Addendum 3: Durability Testing
SCP-8913 was subjected to antimatter rifle fire for 3 minutes. Its tail shattered and regenerated in 23 seconds. It was then hit with a chemical bomb, reducing it to half a body, which regenerated in 4 minutes and 52 seconds. Finally, it was exposed to gravity 70 times stronger than Earth's, causing disintegration. It reformed in 13 minutes and 39 seconds.
The tests confirmed that while SCP-8913 is highly resilient, it can be destroyed. However, termination is prohibited, as its moonstone body could be valuable for Foundation projects.
Addendum 4: Breach
During a blackout, the backup generator in SCP-8913’s cell failed, allowing it to escape and unleash chaos via its anomalous effects. MTF BETA-7, equipped with appropriate gear, was deployed. The Site was evacuated and SCP-8913 was encased in a magnetic cube and returned to containment.
After this breach, only the O5 Council was permitted access to SCP-8913.
Casualties included:
2 MTF NU-7 agents (without protective gear)
5 Foundation scientists
3 Class-D personnel involved in a test with SCP-⬛️⬛️⬛️
The containment cell was reinforced and equipped with a next-generation generator.
