Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8170 is currently uncontained due to circumstances caused by its unstable activity and disappearance.

Description: SCP-8170 is a triangular shaped two-dimensional entity who is airborne and can fly. The anomaly appears to disappear and reappear at random locations, at likely faster than light speed. It has a 'warp' effect, which effects all bystanders within an approximate 2 kilometers radius. This warp effect is unexplainable and people affected by it have deceased from between 1-5 hours in average. So far, 98 people have died, 72 being American soldiers and 26 being American Air Force pilots.

The anomaly has five primary characteristics:

• Triangular Body
• 2 limbs and 2 hands
• Top hat (Accessory)
• 2-Dimensional figure
• An eye.

SCP-8170 having an eye is only a theory. Witnesses before being amnesticized reported of seeing SCP-8170 having an eye, though no SCP reports say so. It is still uncertain.

The effect and phenomena of SCP-8170 is currently undergoing research as of now by Foundation scientists and metaphysicists.

Addendum, Incident-01, Discovery: On 09/11/1947, roughly 10:45 am, SCP-8170 was first sighted in the air, and was immediately noticed by Hangar 618 since their radars picked up an unidentified object in the US airspace. SCP-8170 was designated "Specimen 3" by the US Army.

P-80s were scrambled in the air to track down SCP-8170 and interfere with what the object. In the first few seconds, all 98 people had already been affected by SCP-8170's 'warp' effect. After a few seconds, as 4 P-80 Fighter jets were flying in the air, SCP-8170 disappeared from US radar, leaving the pilots and people on-ground dumfounded.

After 3 hours or appearing and reappearing on the radar, it completely vanished from the airspace, and no records are there of SCP-8170 above, or on any other country or water body.

On 11th, July, we encountered a strange entity in our skies, and this entity caused many soldiers of ours to pass away shortly. I give all my condolences to the families who grieve their deaths, and may God have mercy.

The army immediately began to investigate on this, along with the DoD (Department of Defense) but, when the FBI UIU became aware of this, they contacted the Department and told them to burn all records of SCP-8170 and hand the case to them to handle.
