Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-8204 is to be contained in Containment Locker 8L at all times. When personal are required to access the Object, no fewer than two personal are to be on guard, and the item must be place back into it's original containment locker where it will be sterilized and ready for another usage.1

SCP-8204 is to be contained in a 18x18 titanium airlock chamber with all walls being coated with SCP-148. When personal are required access to object, no fewer than 4 personal are allowed to enter, with all personal must wear either Class-B or higher hazmat suits.

Should SCP-8204 suddenly begin its activation, all personal are to be immediately evacuated from inside the containment chamber, and the chamber will be purged with amenodinelia acid2 to decontaminate any lead present within the chamber.


Description:

SCP-8204 is a 10-cent coin measuring 2.5cm by 2.5cm that bears the insignia of the Singapore region. Object is revealed to be made out of special reinforced copper-nickel, which when questioned to the Singapore parliament was not put into action due to the risk of it maybe more worth than it should.

A highly dangerous lead contaminant constantly seeps out of SCP-8204. Anyone that comes into contact with this contaminant will have their body suddenly suffering lead poisoning before dying. Autopsy of victims shows that the lead will infect red blood cells and then kills the subject through a similar event that is commonly related to accidental consumption of a lead poison.

Subjects within 1.5 to 2 meters (5-6 feet) of SCP-8204 without protective equipment will face a sudden heart failure that is commonly related to minor lead poisoning, in which they must be immediately brought to the foundation's ICU immediately for poison treatment.

It is unknown if SCP-8204 can self-replicate as SCP-8204 matches regular 10-cent coins found in Singapore, and if other instances are found outside SCP-8204's containment site are to be immediately brought back to the foundation for reclassification.


Discovery:

SCP-8204 was found in a housing department board's rental flat in the eastern district of [REDACTED], where local police found a deceased singaporean male who died of lethal lead poisoning. The SCP was brought into the police's custody as part of evidence due to said object being found near the subject.

Later was moved into foundation custody after a tragic death of a police investigator who died of the same lethal lead poisoning of the victim.

The Foundation is unable to transport it to the nearest foundation site in Guangzhou as due to the lethal lead contaminant may risk transportation issues. In accordance, they base a foundation site in Singapore located at [REDACTED], eastern region.3


Addendum 8204-01: SCP Object exhibit unusual radioactive like magnetic waves which contains particles of the lead poison used by SCP-8204. At the time of this document is written, the particles has been noted to be at safe levels.4

Addendum 8204-02: Autopsy of deceased victims of SCP-8204 has been revealed to be a type of lead contaminant that spreads through red blood cells, attacking it and eventually killing the subject as of the contaminated blood. Proposals for extra safety measures have been approved by Dr. Mak.5

Addendum 8204-03: SCP-8204 has now taken 98 lives during what seems to be a normal day at Site-███. Incident records shows that SCP-8204's lead poison has leaked out of containment locker 8L and has spread to hallway [DATA EXPUNGED] and conference room [DATA EXPUNGED] of Site-███. Dr. Mak is not satisfied after hearing the cause of the incident and is currently giving a request to high command to determine whether SCP-8204 should receive reclassification.6
