Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-8967 is currently held in a 25 m² room. The walls are made of 35 cm thick reinforced concrete, and the entrance consists of a remotely operated titanium door accessible only to personnel with Level 4 clearance.
The room contains a toilet and furnishings selected according to the subject's preferences. A tracking implant has been inserted into the subject’s abdomen. The cell must be monitored 24 hours a day, and all activity is to be logged and reported.
SCP-8967 is currently housed at Site-77.
[Updated, see Log SCP-8967 Operation “Falling Star”]
Description:
SCP-8967 appears as a male of Eastern Slavic descent, approximately 24 years old, standing 248 cm (8’1.63”) tall and weighing 114 kg (251.33 lbs). The subject typically has gray-black hair but may exhibit varying color patterns. Two antlers resembling a deer’s crown protrude from the head, and the eyes are black and red.
A dark substance covers the entirety of the legs, arms, much of the back, and the sides of the neck, forming a jagged pattern. Occult runes cover the left arm, extending to the shoulder, and glow bright red when exposed to sunlight.
The subject prefers to wear track pants and does not wear an upper garment. Occasionally, SCP-8967 wraps itself in a long gray blanket resembling a cloak.
Behavioral analysis during observation indicates no major changes, though the subject exhibits abnormal conduct when left alone in containment. SCP-8967 began sleeping through most of the day for unknown reasons and has shown signs of food avoidance for up to three days at a time.
The subject’s known anomalous ability includes biological manipulation of its own body. No other anomalous traits have been confirmed.
Research is ongoing.
Interviewed: SCP-8967
Interviewer: Dr. Aurora
Foreword: This meeting was held following SCP-8967's refusal to attend two prior interviews with Dr. Aurora.
<Begin Log>
Dr. Aurora enters the containment chamber.
Dr. Aurora: (Looking around the room) Hansel?
SCP-8967: A warm welcome to you, Doctor.
Dr. Aurora: (Startled, steps forward) Jesus, Hansel!
SCP-8967: I hold no affiliation with the Abrahamic messiah, but surely something else entirely.
Dr. Aurora: Right… Why were you hiding?
SCP-8967: You caught me off guard. I didn’t expect a personal visit. I assumed they had started to fear me, and clearly, I was right.
Dr. Aurora: Stop it.
SCP-8967: I beg your pardon?
Dr. Aurora approaches SCP-8967.
Dr. Aurora: You keep spouting nonsense, refuse interviews, and won’t even clean your room. Do you realize they're planning to relocate you?
SCP-8967: I feared as much.
Dr. Aurora: So why sabotage yourself like this if you know it’s coming?
SCP-8967: Life? You lecture me on life while beings like myself are locked up by your kind, while you roam freely through your meadows, basking in liberty.
Dr. Aurora: …
SCP-8967: Don’t talk to me about life. I observe it better than most, yet I’m the last one allowed to live it.
Dr. Aurora: You’ve changed. (Sits on the bed)
SCP-8967: No, you’ve just come to know me better.
Dr. Aurora: So you were pretending all along?
SCP-8967: What?
Dr. Aurora: (Rises) You were fake the entire time.
SCP-8967: What are you talking about?
Dr. Aurora: Don’t bullshit me. You’re no different from the rest of them.
SCP-8967: Are you on your period?
Dr. Aurora: What? How can you even ask me that?
SCP-8967: You're acting irrational, so I ask.
Dr. Aurora: You know what? If that’s how you want to be, fine. I once thought I could feel safe around you. You shielded me from their ever-watching eyes. But it was all just a lie.
SCP-8967: You misunderstood. I pretended because they wouldn’t understand, how poisoned they all are. But you… you smiled through the venom. It’s not too late for you. Let me help.
Dr. Aurora: Maybe I never needed help.
SCP-8967: …
Dr. Aurora exits the chamber.

Foreword: Weekly scheduled meeting initiated at the subject’s request.
<Begin Log>
Darvin: Good morning, Hansel.
SCP-8967: Hello, Darvin.
Darvin: Good to see you again. You don’t look well.
SCP-8967: I know. I've been thinking a lot lately.
Darvin: I understand. I heard about your unfortunate conversation with Aurora. Want to talk about it?
SCP-8967: Not really. But I do have a question.
Darvin: Go ahead.
SCP-8967: What is the value of a life?
Darvin: (Coughs) That’s a hard one. But from where I was raised, I’d say every life is precious, it shouldn’t be wasted or taken…
SCP-8967: And how much is your life worth?
Darvin: I’m not sure. But if we’re counting by our deeds, then maybe it’s not worth much.
SCP-8967: Then the serpent was right. After all, I’ve become exactly what they wanted me to be.
Darvin: What do you mean by that?
SCP-8967: I have a request.
Darvin: (Leans in) What is it?
SCP-8967: [REDACTED]
Darvin: You seriously want me to kill you? I’ll try what I can, but I can’t promise they’ll listen.
SCP-8967: Thank you, Darvin. And as for you, stay where you are.
Darvin: Alright. About the room?
SCP-8967: You may clean it. I no longer care.
Darvin: Alright. Have a good day, Hansel.
SCP-8967: Thank you as well.

Notice to nearby facilities:
A critical breach of security systems has occurred at Site-77 due to a containment breach involving SCP-8967.
Approximately 2 hours ago, SCP-8967 infiltrated the Containment Vaults, releasing several dangerous Class E entities. Communication with that sector has been lost.
We have confirmed containment breaches of SCP-213 and SCP-1498.
All current attempts to regain control or recontain the released entities have failed.

[BEGIN TRANSMISSION]
Hello. I'd like to report the current status at Site-77 based on my observations.
I can confirm a containment breach involving SCP-213 and SCP-8967. As of now, security is unable to subdue either entity, and all forced containment attempts have failed. I don’t believe we have the resources to succeed.
SCP-8967 is currently carrying out a massive purge of site personnel, taking some to an unknown location, where I believe it executes them.
As for administrative status, we no longer have any. SCP-4447 was likely activated by [DATA LOST], and that was the last we saw of it. Anderson was taken by it and locked in a room. I know the rest of the staff has either evacuated or didn’t make it.
{Screams in the background}
It's near my room now. Probably finished off the last of security. If you receive no further transmissions, assume the worst.
(Silence)
From what I’ve observed on surveillance, the entity appears highly resistant to ballistic impact and extreme temperatures. I witnessed a guard throw a Molotov at it…it did nothing.
{Impact noise in the background}
Shit…. More importantly, the entity may pose a memetic auditory hazard. Please dispatch an MTF immediately. Nothing else will help here. I wish you a nic..[Explosion]
(For the next 2 minutes, only the sounds of fire and sirens were heard. No further communications were received from Dr. Regal.)
[END TRANSMISSION]
Sender: Yared Willer
Recipient: Agent B████
[BEGIN TRANSMISSION]
This is Agent Psi-7, codename Rohack, transmitting from within Site-77, currently in the internal office.
I am sending this message due to a breach by SCP-8967 and am formally requesting MTF assistance. I confirm our complete inability to contain or neutralize the entity.
Mr. Anderson has been taken, and I have no knowledge of his current location. The same applies to other members of Site-77 administration.
Together with other security personnel, we were dispatched to terminate SCP-8967, but the attempt failed entirely. Ultimately, I fled the scene.
The entity is likely classified as either a Green or Blue type, though it's difficult to assess more accurately, most of us were crushed on the spot.
For some time now, radio and communication devices have been malfunctioning, sporadically emitting words unknown to me.
I will attempt to transcribe and send them for analysis. I’ll continue working on that from inside and assist in any way I can.
Please… I am begging you, send help.

SCP-8967: …So that’s how it is.
E11-Zero: SCP-8967, you must return to your containment chamber and await recovery. Otherwise…
SCP-8967: You’ll kill me?
E11-Zero: …
SCP-8967: Yes, I think that’s exactly what I’ll do.
E11-Zero: If you refuse to comply, we will use force.
SCP-8967: As if that means anything, good sir.
E11-Zero: What did you do with…
SCP-8967: I freed them from their bath.
E11-Zero: What does that even mean?
SCP-8967: That they’re dead, I daresay.
E11-Zero: You’re pathetic.
SCP-8967: Behemoth said the same, but the difference is, you are of a lower breed.
E11-Zero: Fuck you.
SCP-8967: With due respect.

SCP-8967 is seen walking down a hallway. Darvin stands alone in its path.
Darvin: Hello, Hansel.
SCP-8967 grunts
SCP-8967: Move, Darvin.
Darvin: No time for me?
SCP-8967: I’m not going back to containment. If they sent you to stop me, it won’t work, not even with your little tricks.
(smirks grotesquely)
Darvin: No, I’m not here for that.
SCP-8967: Then why block my path?
Darvin: I wanted to see what they told you to become.
SCP-8967: What are you talking about?
Darvin: Honestly, if just once you could answer me truthfully, what’s the point of all this?
SCP-8967: That’s a stupid question. And I’m surprised you, of all people, don’t understand. Humans are the last beings worthy of the miracle of life. Your own creator does not love you.
Darvin: You know our creator?
SCP-8967: Of course.
Darvin: So you hate us for merely existing?
SCP-8967: It's a bit deeper than that, but yes.
Darvin: So we’re insects to you?
SCP-8967: …Yes.
Darvin: And here I thought Aurora meant something.
SCP-8967: …
Darvin: You lie. You don’t kill everyone, only those you don’t know, or those who get in your way… like me.
SCP-8967: …Step aside.
Darvin: No.
SCP-8967: Fool.
SCP-8967 walks toward Darvin.
Darvin: What will you do?
SCP-8967: I’ll smack you.
SCP-8967 strikes Darvin in the head.
SCP-8967: (looking into the camera) Hm. You’re seeing too much…

The camera displays Agent J████ performing routine duty outside SCP-8967’s containment chamber. After approx. 4 minutes, loud knocking is heard from within the chamber.
As Agent J████ approaches the door, he is crushed by a section of the containment gate, which was breached from the inside by SCP-8967.
The entity exits containment.
No motion is detected for approx. 1 hour. At timestamp +17 min, SCP-8967 reappears carrying three security personnel slung over its shoulder. It is unclear whether they are alive. The entity enters its former containment chamber and exits one minute later.
This behavior is repeated over several hours, SCP-8967 is seen bringing various personnel into the chamber.
It also brings multiple water bottles and cafeteria bread rolls into the room.
At 7 hours 43 minutes, the feed is lost.

(Silence)
Radio: Sir, Estra here, requesting permission to deploy on the left wing.
N-7 Forrest: Granted. Just don’t get yourselves killed.
Radio: Copy that.
N-7 Roy: We’ve stopped.
N-7 Forrest: Good. Let’s move out everyone.
(Team exits vehicle)
N-7 Forrest: Position yourself by every damn exit. Notify me if anything comes through.
N-7 Roy: Understood.
(N-7 Forrest proceeds to second vehicle)
N-7 Forrest: Situation report, where’s Psi-7’s lead?
N-7 Estra: No sign of him, they say he’s KIA.

N-7 Forrest: Understood.
(Forrest and Estra begin returning to Nu-7 group)
Psi-7 Storm: We still have radio contact with someone down there, but…
N-7 Forrest: “But” what?
Psi-7 Storm: Something is broadcasting messages through all channels, radios, comms, everything.
N-7 Forrest: Site Command, do you copy?
Site Command: Affirmative. You are encountering an auditory cognitohazard. Confirmed and analyzed.
N-7 Forrest: Orders?
Site Command: Continue with mission. There should be no immediate auditory hazard outside the lower levels. If symptoms appear, retreat and follow protocol. Eta-11 is en route.
N-7 Forrest: Acknowledged.
(Following this exchange, Nu-7 continues the operation with Psi-7 support. External perimeter successfully secured. A Safe Zone is established for rescued Site-77 personnel.)

Title: Operation in Veins
Date: ██/██/████
Team on mission: Mobile Task Force Eta-11 "Savage Beast"
Objective: Exploration of the lower levels of Site-77 and attempt to secure SCP-8967
Team Captain: E-11 Samuel
Team members: E-11 John / E-11 Mike / E-11 Rosy / E-11 Helen
Notes: After reviewing information transmitted from Site-77, Site Command organized the deployment of MTF Eta-11, composed of a five-person team equipped with ABV night vision systems, auditory filters with semantic filtration-equipped comms, and handheld pads displaying a 3D map of the facility.
Eta-11 entered through the main door secured by Nu-7 forces.
<Begin Log>
E-11 Samuel: Camera’s rolling. Check your visors and earpieces. If you see anything suspicious, report it.
E-11 Mike: Copy.
E-11 Rosy: Adjusting the camera, hold on.
E-11 Helen: Need help?
E-11 Rosy: No, I got it.
E-11 Samuel: Alright, where’s John?
E-11 Rosy: Behind us.
E-11 signals to John
E-11 John signals back: {Okay}
E-11 Samuel: Alright, moving in. Site Command, everything green on your end?
Site Command: All systems are working. Proceed with the operation.
Nu-7 Forrest: Good luck, Savage Beast.
E-11 Rosy: You too.
The team entered Site-77's entry zone and approached the gate separating the outer area from the lower complex. Team Captain E-11 Samuel took the lead.
Site Command: Team, we’ll monitor your vitals and comms, but report anything you see, hear, or encounter.
E-11 Helen: Copy that.
The team descended the stairs according to the map. Shortly after, they reached a door leading to level -1.
E-11 Samuel: First door. Lights are starting to flicker.
E-11 Mike: The lower we go, the darker it gets.
E-11 Helen: Switching to night vision?
E-11 Samuel: Yes. Make sure it’s working, we’re moving in.
The team donned their visors and entered the corridor on level -1.
E-11 Samuel: Helen, Rosy watch the rear. We’re heading right.
E-11 Rosy: Copy that.
E-11 Mike: Cap, another gate straight ahead.
E-11 Samuel: I see it. Site Command, approaching another gate. Will the card work?
Site Command: Unless there are power issues, it should.
E-11 Samuel: Copy.
The team reached the emergency gate. Access card and code were used. The gate opened partially and then stalled.
E-11 Mike: So much for smooth entry.
E-11 Samuel: Site Command, are you seeing this?
Site Command: Affirmative. Might be power failure in this sector.
E-11 Samuel: Copy. Proceeding.
The team moved one-by-one through the narrow passage.
E-11 Rosy: Shit.
E-11 Mike: What’s up?
E-11 Rosy: Backpack stuck.
E-11 Helen: Need help?
E-11 Rosy: No, I got it.
E-11 John: Cap, look.
E-11 Samuel: What is it? (Pause) Sweet god… Site Command, we have a damn pile of bodies at the end of the corridor.
Site Command: Understood. Hold position. Attempting to identify.
E-11 Mike: I’ll take a closer look. Cap, cover me.
E-11 Samuel: Carefully. I don’t want anything to jump out from this .
Samuel and Mike approached the pile.
E-11 Mike: Fuck. Security personnel.
E-11 Samuel: Site Command, do you recognize them?
Site Command: Two appear to be rapid response team members. Others are hard to ID, faces appear to be ripped off.
E-11 Mike: Like something gnawed their faces off.
E-11 Samuel: No time for this. Rosy, are you good to move?
E-11 Rosy: Ready.
E-11 Samuel: Great. Site Command, heading deeper.
The team descended to level -2 near the Common Rooms and Grand Mess Hall.
E-11 Mike: It’s darker and quieter here.
E-11 Helen: Generator may have failed.
E-11 Rosy: Or maybe someone just likes the dark.
E-11 Samuel: Quiet. Stair’s end ahead. Stay alert.
E-11 Mike: Copy.
They approached another door leading to the office and research area.
E-11 Helen: Sam, I see someone.
E-11 Samuel: Where?
E-11 Mike: Same, I see him behind a desk.
E-11 Samuel: Move in slowly.
E-11 Rosy: Do we have ROE clearance?
E-11 Samuel: Only if lives are at risk.
E-11 Rosy: Copy that.
The team approached from two sides. Mike spotted a humanoid at a desk, staring at a screen.
It stood approx. 180 cm tall, hairless, nude, with a black void in place of a face.
Samuel signaled for retreat. As they backed up, the humanoid raised its head and emitted a 138 dB screech.
Auditory filters dampened the sound. The team continued withdrawing.
The entity turned toward Mike and charged, increasing to 170 dB. The filters failed.
Mike fired, bringing it down and neutralizing the sonic threat.
E-11 Samuel: What the hell… Mike, you good?
E-11 Mike: Yeah Cap. (Pause) Think it’s down.
E-11 Helen: Orders?
E-11 Samuel: Site Command, do you copy?
Site Command: (Static)
E-11 Samuel: Nothing. Return’s too long. We press forward.
E-11 Rosy: If Cap says so.
The team pushed toward lower levels. Site Command was unreachable due to Anomaly interference.
Mike and Rosy led, passing through multiple offices toward the science zone.
E-11 Samuel: Hold up. I need to mark something.
He marked an operational symbol on the wall.
E-11 Samuel: Let’s go. Mike, Rosy you lead. Helen and I watch the rear. John, keep us secure.
They proceeded for 7 minutes in silence, then found more corpses, this time researchers.
E-11 Mike: More on the floor.
E-11 Helen: These are sliced up.
E-11 Mike: Not the screecher’s work, I think.
E-11 Samuel: Move out.
They advanced, finding more bodies. The audio filters began warning of a hazard.
E-11 Samuel: Stay on path to lower level. Be careful.
E-11 Mike: Copy.
E-11 Rosy: Shoot on sight?
E-11 Samuel: Only if hostile.
They entered the acoustic hazard zone. Mike located the sound source, a radio. Helen destroyed it.
E-11 Samuel: Watch out for radios or other crap like that. Purge anything similar.
E-11 Rosy: Do we know what’s causing the infohazard?
E-11 Samuel: Site Command suspects SCP-8967 is the vector.
E-11 Helen: So, our mission target.
E-11 Samuel: Yeah.
E-11 Mike: Cap, John’s got something.
E-11 Samuel: What exactly?
E-11 Mike: Not sure, he pointed ahead.
Samuel moves toward John, who’s staring into a dark corridor with his flashlight.
E-11 John: There, in the dark.
E-11 Samuel signals to John {Nothing there?}
E-11 Rosy: Optics show nothing.
E-11 John: I swear I saw something.
E-11 Samuel: Alright. Stick together. This is our only route to living quarters.
E-11 Helen: Opposite should be the mess hall.
E-11 Samuel: Got it. Rosy,
E-11 Samuel signals to John {John, watch our six}
Team enters the dark hallway. Night vision fails.
E-11 Mike: Seriously?
E-11 Samuel: Shut it. Flashlights on.
E-11 Mike: I didn’t even say anything.
They continued for two minutes in silence.
E-11 Helen: Cap, isn’t this corridor too long?
E-11 Samuel: Yeah. Rosy, check the map.
(Silence)
E-11 Samuel: Rosy? Hello?
E-11 Helen: Cap, turn around. We lost the rear.
Samuel turned with his flashlight, John and Rosy were gone.
E-11 Samuel: Shit. Helen, when did you notice?
E-11 Helen: Just now. I swear I saw their lights, heard their steps.
E-11 Samuel: Damn it. Mike, what’s below us?
E-11 Mike: Should be living quarters, unless we’re in another dimension.
E-11 Samuel: Better your guess than this hell.
They breach the floor below by using an impact grenade. Light floods in. They descend into a deserted mess hall with visible dust in the air.
Samuel attempts radio contact, no success.
Helen checks the kitchen, finding only a mess. Mike is instructed to scout hallway connections.
E-11 Samuel: What is it?
E-11 Mike: One hallway should lead to the last survivor signal, but there’s a smooth wall instead.
E-11 Samuel: Are you sure? Count again.
E-11 Mike: I did. Two are missing.
E-11 Samuel: Fuck. Site Command, do you copy?
Site Command: (Static)
E-11 Mike: I can find a way out, but no promises.
E-11 Samuel: Let me think.
E-11 Helen: Cap, we have radio contact.
E-11 Samuel: What?
E-11 Helen: Channel 7.
Samuel switches channels.
Communicator: [Static voice]
E-11 Samuel: Hello? This is Operational Captain of Eta-11. Do you copy?
Communicator: He…lp… wa…rehou…se… nee…d ass…
E-11 Samuel: Where?
Communicator: (Static)
E-11 Mike: Said something about a warehouse.
E-11 Samuel: Then new priority, reach the storage sector and await Hammer Down.
E-11 Helen: What if we encounter an anomaly?
E-11 Samuel: We avoid or engage, but that’s secondary now. Mike, mark the area. Helen, try Rosy’s comms. Let me know if anything happens. We will move soon.
After their tasks, Samuel, Helen, and Mike proceeded toward the lab, en route to storage. They found partially melted corpses with weapons fused into metal puddles. One ID badge: Agent Lammar. They retrieved an access card and continued.
They reached a melted airlock separating the residential from the lab. Samuel entered first. Light was dim but adequate.
E-11 Samuel: Do we go straight through, or is there another path?
E-11 Mike: Checking.
E-11 Helen: Cap, light to our left.
A yellow glow emerged, then vanished.
A man stepped into view, white undershirt, black corduroy pants, wounded abdomen, heavy breathing.
He raised his hands and shouted incoherently.
E-11 Samuel: Don’t move! Hands up!
Ryan: Don’t shoot! I’m Ryan!
E-11 Samuel: One of the survivors?
Ryan: I think so.
E-11 Helen: Cap, that’s SCP-213.
E-11 Samuel: You sure?
E-11 Helen: The glow and appearance match.
Ryan: Yeah, but I didn’t escape on purpose, he just opened the door for me and I didn’t know what to do, and then I got attacked by some guy with a knife, and I ran here.
E-11 Samuel: Ryan, listen, we’ll help you, but we need to work together. We’re heading to the storage on the lowest level. We’ll take you with us, but you have to promise not to kill us, okay?
Ryan: Okay.
E-11 Mike: I’ve got a quicker way, Sam, but you’re not gonna like it.
E-11 Samuel: Alright. Helen, patch Ryan up while I check this swamp.
Eta-11 made a temporary stop. After treating SCP-213’s wound and deciding the next route through the facility's directive complex, members of Eta-11 exchanged information with SCP-213. They learned about a mass breach of class E subjects led by SCP-8967, against whom security personnel couldn’t hold out. They also found out about cooperation levels between anomalies and SCP-8967. Helen continued discussing with SCP-213 while Operational Commander Samuel declared a break to gather strength.
Helen managed to get intel about the containment wing and containment vaults being overrun. Ryan mentioned the administrative complex might also be under enemy control. After a while, Helen and Ryan resumed talking during a meal with the rest of the team.
(Entire team is eating)
E-11 Mike: I hate these damn rations.
E-11 Samuel: Eat what you got. If you don’t want it, eat an apple.
Ryan: You have an apple?
E-11 Helen: Yes.
Ryan: May I have one?
E-11 Samuel: Yeah.
E-11 Helen: Ryan, what do you know about SCP-8967?
Ryan: I don’t know what that is.
E-11 Helen: The one you call the prince, that’s SCP-8967. Tall, with antlers on his head, and runes on his arm.
Ryan: Oh, him. I don’t know much. I was one of the first he freed. At least, that’s what he said. (pause) He was kind when talking to me and others, but with staff, he didn’t hesitate to kill them.
E-11 Helen: Do you know where he might be?
Ryan: Probably in his room. That’s where he keeps his prisoners.
E-11 Samuel: Prisoners? So he doesn’t kill everyone?
Ryan: No, he holds them there. I don’t know why, but I heard from Shrot that he doesn’t even let his allies near that place.
E-11 Samuel: Do you know who might be held there?
Ryan: No.
E-11 Helen: You said they took the containment vault. We recently got info from survivors there.
E-11 Mike: We don’t know that. We can’t be sure who it was.
Ryan: You might be talking about the fort behind the gate. The prince didn’t get there. I know he ordered others like me to break in.
E-11 Mike: Fort? Wait, can you show us on the map?
Ryan: I’ll try.
Mike showed the containment vault area map to SCP-213. They identified a potential survivor location in sector B behind an anti-breach airlock. Sector A was occupied, so the team planned to head to the more distant sector C. Samuel ordered a path toward sector D.
The team, with Ryan, turned off the gas burner and set out. Mike led the way, occasionally checking the map. Samuel kept Ryan close while monitoring the area. At the corridor's end, they saw a gate blocking access to the directive complex and a humanoid figure standing nearby.
Ryan stepped forward but was stopped by Mike.
E-11 Mike: Where do you think you’re going?
Ryan: I need to talk to him so he’ll let us in.
E-11 Samuel: Does he have a card?
Ryan: No, the door doesn’t work. He’s the only one who can let people in and out.
E-11 Samuel: Alright, talk to him.
Ryan approached the figure.
E-11 Mike: Must be some damn gatekeeper.
E-11 Samuel: Could be a watchmaker for all I care, just no trouble.
After a few minutes, Ryan called to the rest.
Ryan: This is Yaro. He’ll let us through.
Yaro gave a thumbs up.
E-11 Mike: So how does Yaro let us through?
Ryan: He’ll show you.
Yaro approached the gate and placed his hand in its center, creating a water-like surface. Ryan walked through and disappeared. Samuel tested the portal with his foot before being pulled through. Mike and Helen followed.
On the other side, the team found a long corridor lined with broken doors and destroyed ceiling cameras.
E-11 Samuel: Alright, Mike, take the lead.
E-11 Mike: Aye aye, captain.
The team moved on, flashlights illuminating their path. Samuel paused occasionally to observe. Mike spotted writing on a wall partially scrambled by distortion filters. After informing the team, they ignored it and kept watch on Ryan.
They passed several decomposed corpses. Samuel ordered no one to touch them and to move on. They reached a fork.
E-11 Samuel: Now, Where?
E-11 Mike: Right, according to the map.
E-11 Helen: What if it’s the wrong way?
E-11 Mike: Then it is.
Ryan: So let’s hope it’s right.
E-11 Samuel: Yeah.
E-11 Helen: Cap, is something ahead?
They all looked down the corridor and saw a crab-like multi-limbed creature. Its left arm was a long tentacle tipped with spikes. Its face was covered in moss and fungi.
The creature screeched and charged. The team ran. Mike and Samuel opened fire, slowing it down slightly. Samuel threw a grenade. The explosion caused the creature to roar in pain.
Helen led them into [REDACTED], where they regrouped.
E-11 Helen: Think we lost it.
E-11 Samuel: Potentially.
Radio: Cap, you there?
E-11 Samuel: Rosy, that you? Is John with you?
Radio: Not exactly. I’m Johny. Rosy is John.
E-11 Mike: What do you mean?
Radio: We switched bodies.
E-11 Samuel: Alright, important thing is you’re okay. Where are you?
Radio: Not sure. Equipment’s busted. We’re exposed to auditory threats, and have no camera or map.
E-11 Samuel: How did it happen?
Radio: Darkness pulled us in. We barely got out. Then encountered a humanoid that probably did it.
E-11 Mike: Can you describe your location?
Radio: Somewhere on -3 floor. Next to a generator, our only light source.
E-11 Samuel: Got it. Stay put. We’ll return with support.
Radio: Copy.
E-11 Samuel: Mike, find us an exit.
E-11 Mike: Straight ahead. If power’s up and it’s unused, we’ll exit via the evac shaft.
E-11 Samuel: You’re leading, then.
Ryan: Hey, we’ve got a problem.
E-11 Helen: Cap, look out!
Helen tackled Samuel as three sharp projectiles flew over them and embedded in the wall. SCP-8967 emerged from the wall.
His right face melted upward abstractly, with multiple lidless eyes. A long black tongue surrounded by rows of teeth spiraled inward through his hair. His hair moved without wind, resembling retreating flames. The left side of his face was normal, eyes foggy gray. He wore a directorate suit and shoes, hands behind his back as he approached.
Samuel and Helen fired. The bullets turned to sand on impact. SCP-8967 sliced off Helen’s arm with his tongue. She fell, screaming.
E-11 Samuel: Fuck, Mike!
E-11 Mike: Working on it!
SCP-8967: Your resistance is meaningless, yet amusing.
Mike grabbed a Scranton Reality Anchor amplifier and slid it across the floor. A crimson flash engulfed the room. SCP-8967 returned to a base form. Samuel threw a grenade, but it vanished mid-air and reappeared by his face. A loud explosion followed. The panel now showed only four heartbeats.
Mike’s camera showed him dragging Helen while SCP-213 charged SCP-8967 and touched him. A yellow flash and soft shriek followed.
SCP-213 helped Mike carry Helen.
E-11 Mike: Move it, dammit!
Ryan: Trying! I’m hurt too!
SCP-8967: You can separate atoms. Fascinating, for something that can’t live without a host.
Mike and Ryan sprinted. They entered an office and shut the door.
E-11 Mike: Nothing here. Fuck!
Ryan: Why did we come here?
E-11 Mike: It was closest.
Ryan: To the righ—
Ryan was cut off as a severed hand with an eye leapt from his mouth onto the desk. He collapsed, bleeding. Mike shot the hand, breaking it. Then a glass-shattering sound followed, and the camera feed cut.
<End Log>
Note 1: All efforts to reestablish contact failed. Site Command issued new comms allowing only one-way attempts. Samuel and Mike's heartbeats ceased. Helen's was slowed. Nu-7 was not dispatched.
Note 2: SCP-213 and E-11 Helen were found unconscious in the Directorate’s evac lift, taken to Site-06-2 for treatment and study.
Note 3: Securing task postponed. Omega-12 and Apollo-3 requested for anomaly escort and protection. Mission command transferred to Unlikely.
Note 4: Drawing made by SCP-213 upon waking

<Begin Log>
Ω-12 Hovack: Site Command, we’ve landed. Do you have visuals?
Site Command: Yes, Join Apollo-3 and follow Nu-7. They’ll guide you.
Ω-12 Hovack: Copy.
(Pause)
{Apollo-3 joins the comms}
AP-3 Ross: Greetings, Omega-12.
Ω-12 Hovack: Hello.
AP-3 Ross: I hope working together will be a pleasure.
Ω-12 Hovack: I’d like that.
AP-3 Ohalo: (Grunts) Great, a rerun of the old days, huh?
AP-3 Houston: Ohalo, really?
AP-3 Ohalo: Like we haven’t done this before.
AP-3 Ross: Jesus, shut your mouth, Ohalo. If you had an issue, you should’ve swapped with Cross.
Ω-12 Hovack: Is there a problem?
AP-3 Ohalo: Not at all.
Site Command: Apollo-3, if there's internal conflict, we suggest pausing the mission and waiting for a swap. Zeta-9 can assist.
AP-3 Ross: Negative. We proceed.
Nu-7 Forrest: Greetings. Hope I’m not interrupting.
Ω-12 Hovack: Not at all. You’ll take us to the shaft?
Nu-7 Forrest: Yes. We’ve already opened it for you, but rappelling down would be a challenge.
Ω-12 Gray: Uh, as if we were ever gonna use ropes.
Ω-12 Mallory: Exactly.
(Gray and Mallory laugh)
Ω-12 Ukulele: Shut it.
Ω-12 Hovack: Let’s move. Hammer Down, take points.
AP-3 Ross: Apollo-3, move out. Stay paired with your Omega-12 buddy and we’ll be fine.
AP-3 Snow: Positive vibes, team. Positive vibes.
(Claps hands)
Apollo-3 and Omega-12 followed Nu-7 Forrest into the facility. After a moment, they stopped at an open elevator shaft, with a square hole cut into the floor. Forrest shone a flashlight down, then cracked a flare and dropped it.
Both captains watched as the flare’s light faded into the darkness.
Ω-12 Hovack: We’re going down.
AP-3 Ohalo: How?
Ω-12 Hovack: All of Apollo-3 pair up with their dance partners and climb on their backs. Hold tight. Nu-7, you’ve got one hour to make a safer entry.
Ω-12 Ukulele: Into the hole we go.
Ω-12 Gray: Didn’t know we were going into your mom.
Ω-12 Ukulele: Kill yourself.
Ω-12 Wolf: (coughs)
Ω-12 Hovack: Move.
Apollo-3 and Omega-12 performed their insertion protocol and set up around the shaft.
Ω-12 Ukulele: I’ll go first.
Ω-12 Gray: Where to?
Ω-12 Ukulele: The hole. (Pauses) Fuck!
Ω-12 Gray: (laughs)
AP-3 Ross: Omega-12, ready to proceed?
Ω-12 Hovack: Yes, Site Command, do you copy? Operation Falling Star is beginning.
Site Command: We’re with you. Report any findings immediately.
Ω-12 Hovack: Copy.
The team began descending one by one using gravity discs stabilized by Omega-12.
Soon, Ukulele and Houston reached the bottom. Apollo-3 deployed motion sensors. Snow and Ross opened radio channels trying to reach survivors.
AP-3 Ross: Hello? Anyone on this channel?
(silence)
AP-3 Ross: Hello?
(silence)
Ω-12 Wolf: Cap, got something.
AP-3 Ross: What channel?
Ω-12 Wolf: Five.
AP-3 Ross: Switching. Hello? Can anyone hear me?
Radio: …hello? Who is this?
AP-3 Ross: Captain Apollo-3. We’re here to extract you.
Radio: Oh thank God… (static) hurry… we’re running out of supplies… close to us… control room… (static) help them…
AP-3 Ross: Who?
Radio: Mobile… (static) 11…
Ω-12 Wolf: Sounds like Eta-11.
AP-3 Ross: Understood. We’ll get them first, then push to you. Do you copy?
Radio: Yes.
AP-3 Ross: Good. Stay on this frequency. Inform us of anything.
(static)
AP-3 Ross: Do you copy?
(static)
AP-3 Ross: Hello?
Ω-12 Ukulele: So much for that convo.
AP-3 Ross: My thoughts exactly.
Ω-12 Hovack: Alright, Apollo-3 and Omega-12, move out. Stick to your partners, eyes open. Site Command has marked this area as a red-level threat. Report anything unusual.
Ω-12 Ukulele: And shoot it afterward.
Ω-12 Hovack: If it’s hostile.
Ω-12 Gray: What if I see you?
Ω-12 Hovack: Then pray you don’t see me first.
(Omega-12 laughs)
The team moved through the Directorate complex, winding corridors, offices, [DATA LOST], finally reaching a gate with a Latin inscription above it: Ad Victoriam per Sacrificium (“Victory through Sacrifice”).
Hovack unlocked it with a level-4 code. The gate parted, revealing a vast space and a large metallic object resembling four interlocked rings.
As the team approached, a hologram appeared within the rings, showing a figure resembling Dr. [REDACTED].
Ω-12 Ukulele: What the fuck is that?
Ω-12 Gray: Looks like your mom.
Ω-12 Ukulele: …
Alise.aic: Welcome, visitors. I am Alise.aic, artificial intelligence overseeing the Directorate complex and private assistant to Miss, wait, who are you? Why was I offline for so long?
AP-3 Ross: Hard to say, but looking at this place, long enough.
Ω-12 Ukulele: Shit’s gone to hell.
Alise.aic: I see… Do you know where the remaining personnel are?
Ω-12 Hovack: Survivors are in storage. Possibly near SCP-8967’s containment.
Alise.aic: 8967? Prince Hansel? Why would staff be near him?
Ω-12 Hovack: He likely took them. That’s our assumption.
AP-3 Houston: Caused a breach and killed multiple personnel.
AP-3 Ohalo: Pretty bad.
Alise.aic: Then I failed my duties.
Ω-12 Hovack: Maybe. But you can still help us save this site.
Alise.aic: How, if I’ve failed?
Ω-12 Hovack: Site-77 still stands. So you haven’t failed. We need your help now.
Alise.aic: Understood. (Pause) How can I help, sir?
Ω-12 Hovack: Guide us to the storage area. Give us the quickest path and confirm gate access.
Alise.aic: Working…
After a short moment, the unit received information about the route leading to the warehouse. According to Alis, it should pass alongside the storage zone and then directly guide them to the place where the survivors are supposed to be. Wolf and Lory update the GPS map to their destination, and then they continue their journey.
After a short while, as the team began approaching the exit from the Directorate complex, Hume sensors started detecting a spike to 15 Hume. Ukulele checked the direction from which the Hume level was rising.
Ω-12 Havock: We’ve got company
Ω-12 Gray: Fuck, finally
Ω-12 Ukulele: Keep moving, we’ll take care of it
AP-3 Ross: I’d like to propose something
Ω-12 Havock: Go on
AP-3 Ross: Maybe we shouldn't split up. Let's eliminate it together?
AP-3 Snow: Cap, look there
Snow pointed to the corridor leading to a gate that connected one of the main corridors of the Directorate complex with the storage zone. The whole team moved in that direction, with Ukulele and Gray at the front. Around the corner, the operators spotted a humanoid figure that looked like a teenage boy. He was dressed in an E-class uniform and was visibly sobbing next to a wall covered with drawings.
(see mission file site77-3.jpg)
The photo was taken from Ω-12 Wolf’s camera.
Next to the humanoid was a Secretariat member lying on the floor with the front part of their face ripped off.
Ukulele approached the entity, drawing his weapon and attempting to shoot the subject in the head but was stopped by AP-3 Snow, causing him to miss.
Ω-12 Ukulele: What the fuck are you doing?
AP-3 Snow: You wanna shoot a kid?
Ω-12 Ukulele: If his Hume ain’t one, I’d rather shoot him down.
AP-3 Snow: What the hell are you talking about?
Ω-12 Mallory: Can we calm down?
At that moment, the subject stopped sobbing and turned towards the operators. He made a motion with his right hand, revealing a white light that hurled Mallory and Snow through the wall into the next room, simultaneously knocking the Ukulele back. The entity began attacking the remaining team members, but Gray managed to fire several accurate shots to the subject's head, bringing it down.
A moment later, the entire space began collapsing inward. The captain of Omega-12 stepped forward, spreading both arms to stabilize the space in the room, surprising the regenerating entity on the floor. Moments later, Gray attacked again, hurling knives at the being with enough force to sever all its limbs. The creature screamed in pain while regenerating, and Gray pulled out his flamethrower. A stream of fire engulfed the subject’s body. Bright light poured from its mouth and eyes as it tried to resist but ultimately succumbed to the flames.
Ω-12 Gray: That’s how you get shit done. That’s why we’re here to protect you, not to contain. Anything that’s a threat goes up in flames.
(The rest of Omega-12 nods)
AP-3 Ohalo: Enough chit-chat, our people just got blasted through a fucking concrete wall
Ω-12 Gray: Meh, nothing to worry about
AP-3 Ohalo: What?
Ω-12 Ukulele: (approaching Ohalo) Mallory has a rather unique ability
Ω-12 Gray: Exactly, so no need to worry
Ω-12 Havock: Assuming he had time to use it
AP-3 Lorrey: I found them, they’re over here
(The team moved to where Lorrey pointed)
They found Snow lying against a wall, still in suit, and a man standing nearby.
He had a scruffy face, green eyes, and a prominent scar on his nose. He was dressed in a standard Foundation operator uniform and had a knife holster on his thigh. His slender build and cybernetic right arm stood out.
(Ross and Havock approached)
Ω-12 Havock: Mallory, are you okay?
Ω-12 Mallory: Yeah
AP-3 Ross: Snow?
(The person in the Omega-12 suit stood up)
AP-3 Snow: Yeah… I think I’m in one of your suits
Ω-12 Mallory: Yeah, I swapped us right before we went through the wall. It was necessary to keep you alive
AP-3 Ross: Someone wanna give me the short version of what just happened?
(Mallory and Havock nod)
Mallory then briefly explained to the Apollo-3 members that his ability allows him to swap two objects or individuals.
After that, the group attempted to remove Wolf’s suit, but after discussing it with Mallory, they agreed to leave it on for safety. The team proceeded toward the gate separating the Directorate complex from the hallway leading to the storage zone.
Havock and Ross opened the doors, which, to their surprise, offered no resistance this time. They continued through a long corridor typically used for logistics, transporting documents and other vital items. After two minutes, Gray took the lead again, forcing the group to keep up.
Eventually, the team reached what appeared to be the end of the hallway, a dark passage stretching further, identical to what Eta-11 had encountered.
Ω-12 Wolf: Cap, Hume levels are spiking again. We’re likely dealing with a reality tear or some other crap, Lambda-5 would probably know.
Ω-12 Havock: Prep the gear. We need to stabilize this place before doing anything else.
Ω-12 Gray: Boss, wouldn’t it be better to just walk through it? We might manage.
Ω-12 Ukulele: It’s possible that this space is being generated by a reality bender.
AP-3 Ohalo: If you're so sure, why not find the bender and deal with them?
Ω-12 Gray: Easier said than done, but I like your thinking.
Ω-12 Ukulele: Stick to the mission, Gray. We’re not here to deal with insignificant benders.
Ω-12 Gray: Meh, everything in its time
Site Command: Gray Waller, follow the mission plan and listen to Ukulele
Ω-12 Gray: (walks into the darkness) Oh come on, you’re all scared?
Ω-12 Havock: Gray!
(After Gray entered the darkness, he disappeared from all other operators' cameras)
Ω-12 Ukulele: Should I go get him?
AP-3 Ross: That would be helpful.
AP-3 Snow: Maybe it’s better to leave him. He’ll manage. Let’s not jeopardize the mission.
Site Command: Confirming Snow’s statement. We’ll monitor Gray’s camera and tracker. Continue the mission
Ω-12 Havock: Give me a moment to think… (long pause) Alright, here’s the plan, you find another route. I’ll go after that idiot.
AP-3 Ross: You sure? Site Command said..
Ω-12 Havock: I’m sure. I’ll find you once I locate him.
Havock disappeared into the dark corridor. The rest of the team regrouped and returned to the Directorate complex. They took another route guided by Wolf. Hume sensors consistently showed fluctuations from 5 to 9, accompanied by tremors.
(It was later confirmed that the tremors affected the entire Site-77 and nearby areas.)
On their new route, the team encountered a humanoid previously seen by Eta-11, identified as Yaro.
Ω-12 Wolf: Contact ahead!
(The team raised their weapons toward the man emerging from one of the staff rooms)
Yaro: (raises hands) I surrender?
Ω-12 Ukulele: Approach us slowly and no sudden movements
AP-3 Lorrey: That’s one of the E-class, Agent [REDACTED]
AP-3 Houston: What do we know about him?
AP-3 Lorrey: During the anomalous event, he gained an anomalous ability and lost some of his senses.
Ω-12 Mallory: Senses?
AP-3 Lorrey: He’s partially mentally disabled
Ω-12 Ukulele: (approaches Yaro)
AP-3 Ohalo: Any plan, Cap?
(Ukulele mutes his mic)
AP-3 Ross: Let Ukulele handle it. Lorrey, find the fastest route. Houston and Ohalo, deploy sensors. Wolf and Snow, contact Site Command and ask for guidance on the Agent. If necessary, inform Nu-7 for support.
(Pause) Mallory, make sure nothing happens to Ukulele.
Ω-12 Mallory: You're giving orders now? How unexpected
AP-3 Ross: Shut up and do as you're told.
Ω-12 Mallory: Bold of you (turns and walks toward Ukulele)
For the next few minutes, Ukulele and Mallory returned while contact was established with Site Command, and further mission steps were determined.
Ukulele relayed information about Yaro’s abilities and knowledge of how to access the warehouse.
Yaro and the rest of the team followed the route marked by him. After a long journey, they reached a lab, deserted but largely untouched. The only mess was scattered documents and shattered vials.
Ukulele spotted a desk with some leaves, threads, and chalk-drawn symbols.
Ω-12 Ukulele: (grunts) I hope this was just their research.
AP-3 Snow: (looks at the symbols) Thaumaturgy, what else are we going to find?
Ω-12 Mallory: Maybe a god.
AP-3 Ross: Don’t jinx it. I don’t want to deal with a space deer or a giant leech.
Ω-12 Wolf: Whatever we find here, trust me, it won’t be worse than what we’ve seen.
AP-3 Ross: I’d argue that.
(Yaro and Ukulele laugh)
AP-3 Ohalo: At least someone’s in good spirits
AP-3 Houston: (sighs)
The team explored the lab, mostly finding empty rooms and, occasionally, remains of what were once scientists, now burnt or torn apart.
Eventually, Yaro stopped them and pointed to a hole in the floor, marked with a repair symbol, it was their way into the warehouse.
Ω-12 Ukulele: Guess they didn’t have time to fix this.
AP-3 Ohalo: So, we blow it?
Ω-12 Ukulele: No, Yaro will get us through
(Yaro puts his hand into the floor)
The floor turned transparent and water-like. Ukulele jumped in with a splash, followed by the others, all landing on the floor below.
The team established they were in a hallway leading to stairs that led directly to the storage zone.
Ω-12 Ukulele: See? Shortcut.
AP-3 Houston: Sure, but I think there was a faster way.
Ω-12 Ukulele: This was closest to the drop point, stop complaining. By the way, where’s Yaro?
AP-3 Ohalo: I don’t think he jumped.
AP-3 Ross: Not our problem
Site Command: Team, sensors detected movement in the west wing of the Directorate complex.
Ω-12 Ukulele: Copy
Ukulele opened a panel on his left arm (listing the suit’s condition, MC-SKRS activation system, and sensors), activated the sensors, then got hit by Wolf.
Ω-12 Wolf: Goddamn it, you blew them up.
Ω-12 Ukulele: Yeah, whoever entered there wasn’t staff or anyone from our unit. So fuck off.
AP-3 Ross: Enough arguing, let’s keep moving.
Ω-12 Wolf: Are you kidding me? No one’s gonna say anything to him?
AP-3 Ross: I said we’re moving on. The longer we delay, the worse it is for the people waiting on us.
The team continued to the stairs, which were blocked by card-locked doors. Ross unlocked them, letting everyone through. They descended and reached the door separating the stairs from the warehouse.
Ukulele led the group through the door into the warehouse zone. The team moved through the storage area, opening a gate along the way. Ukulele, guided by Wolf behind him, led the way.
(See mission file site77-4.jpg)
Photo taken from Ω-12 Wolf’s camera during warehouse entry.
Ω-12 Wolf: We’re in the storage section. The control room is nearby.
AP-3 Ohalo: That’s where Eta-11 should be.
AP-3 Snow: Most likely.
Ω-12 Wolf: Hume levels here are going nuts.
AP-3 Houston: That means we’re close.
Ω-12 Ukulele: Yeah. (Pause) If he’s here, I recommend avoiding confrontation.
AP-3 Snow: We’ll see about that.
AP-3 Ross: Alright, radio silence unless you see something. Eyes open.
The team moved among shelves and stacks of old archives. Ukulele encountered a barricade made of boxes, metal beams, and toppled shelves. A large [DATA EXPUNGED] warning was painted on it. Ukulele and Wolf informed the team of the cognitohazard on the barricade. After receiving confirmation of the threat, Ukulele fired a Shock Wave cannon at it, clearing the way.
The team pushed forward. Wolf eventually halted them upon reaching their supposed destination, only to find a blank wall where the control room door should be.
Ω-12 Ukulele: So? Did you mess up?
Ω-12 Wolf: No, The door should be right here
AP-3 Ross: Wait, Site Command, do you read?
Site Command: Loud and clear. Checking the map now…
(Silence)
Site Command: According to the map, there should be a door to the control room at your location, and ahead of you, a corridor should lead to Class-E quarters. If you proceed further, on your left you’ll find a route to the Anomalous Item Storage Area. That’s where the earlier broadcasts originated.
Ω-12 Wolf: That still doesn’t explain why some areas are disappearing.
AP-3 Snow: Cap, I’ve got visual.
Snow’s helmet cam captured a man walking down the corridor. He wore a necklace made of bones {occult significance}, a long grey coat with a hood over his head, and carried in his right hand a pouch filled with small bones, unknown-origin powder, and pine needles.
Ω-12 Wolf: Halt! Identify yourself!
Darvin Cambell: Greetings. No need for hostility. I am a member of Site-77 staff.
AP-3 Ross: Stay where you are. Make no sudden moves. We’ll verify your identity. I need your name.
Darvin Cambell: Darvin Cambell, Thaumaturgy Specialist and Lead Researcher on SCP-8967.
(Silence)
AP-3 Snow: Info checks out.
AP-3 Ross: Good. Are you injured?
Darvin Cambell: Not seriously.
Ω-12 Mallory: Do you know who controls the lower levels?
Darvin Cambell: Yes. Hansel is in charge. He commands his own army of Class-E personnel. Where you’re headed, you’ll find only those loyal to him.
AP-3 Ross: If they’re there, then where is the Overlord?
Before he could respond, Darvin was pulled beneath the floor by black tendrils.
The squad immediately went on alert. Hume level spiked to 56. On Ukulele and Ross's cam, a tall humanoid stepped out from the darkness. It wore a black suit adorned with blinking eyes staring directly at the team. Its face split horizontally into two halves, revealing rows of teeth and a long tongue. Wispy grey hair moved around its head despite the still air. A pair of antlers crowned its head. Its left arm was completely black, reflecting no light, ending in three-meter claws. The only colored markings were glowing red runes on its left arm and a small golden watch at its belt.
Behind it stood hunched, pale humanoids with no hair, eyes, or ears—devoid of identifiable gender. Their wide mouths revealed long tongues emerging from jagged teeth. They emitted a metallic snore-like growl.
SCP-8967 (face returns to normal): Greetings. You must be the Mobile Task Force. Interesting. You abandoned your own universe for this cesspit, not that any other one is much better.
Ω-12 Mallory: Cap?
AP-3 Ross: Attempt to secure the anomaly.
Ω-12 Wolf: Shit, we’re undermanned.
SCP-8967: As I said, you’ll meet only your end. And the Father’s will shall be fulfilled once I bring you to your knees.
The pale creatures rushed the squad with claws extended, mouths agape with purple tongues slithering past their teeth.
The entire team opened fire in a storm of bullets. Ukulele was seen drawing an axe, decapitating two beasts. Despite the hail of gunfire, the creatures kept coming until they were felled one by one. Those that reached the team were swiftly executed by Ukulele and his axe. SCP-8967 remained still, watching silently.
Once the magazines were emptied and Ukulele pulled his axe from the last corpse, SCP-8967 stepped forward, arms outstretched. The ground around him rippled like water forming waves.
SCP-8967: Bravo. That went better than I expected.
Ross and Wolf deployed their portable Scranton Reality Anchors, tossing them at SCP-8967’s feet. A red glow filled the room, but disappeared as quickly as it came. SCP-8967 stood unharmed. The same tendrils that consumed Darvin wrapped around the anchors, then flung their crushed remnants back at the operators. Ukulele and Ross dodged the debris.
SCP-8967 rushed the Ukulele, slamming him into the wall with its right hand. Wolf fired his Shockwave Cannon, but the blast was reflected toward Ohalo, severing his right arm.
Ross launched a 40mm grenade at the entity. The grenade detonated on contact, while Snow rushed to apply a tourniquet to Ohalo. Ukulele got back on his feet and helped Mallory stabilize the area.
When the smoke cleared, SCP-8967 had vanished.
Ω-12 Ukulele: Goddamn. How strong is this thing?
Ω-12 Mallory: Strong enough.
(Ohalo screams in the background)
Site Command: Copy, team. Status? What’s Ohalo’s condition?
AP-3 Houston: He’s lost an arm. We’re stabilizing.
Ω-12 Ukulele: Wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for Gray. Fuck.
AP-3 Ross: Complaining won’t help. Stop the bleeding and move toward the command-designated location.
AP-3 Lorrey: Are we even sure they’ll be there?
AP-3 Ross: No, but trying is better than doing nothing.
Ukulele and Mallory stabilized the zone and began moving.
Ω-12 Ukulele: So, it’s finally happening, huh?
Ω-12 Mallory: Seems like it.
Mallory looked at Ukulele, behind him, a giant mouth full of teeth emerged from the wall. Mallory pushed Ukulele aside and was bitten in half by the mouth, which then retreated into the wall, leaving only his lower body. {Mallory’s pulse flatlined; helmet cam destroyed.}
SCP-8967 emerged from the floor behind Ukulele, grabbed him by the back of the head, and smashed him into the opposite wall. Ross fired a grenade, which SCP-8967 caught in its left hand. It then charged the operators.
Wolf fired several Shockwave blasts, none had any visible effect. Suddenly, three high-velocity blades pierced SCP-8967’s head and leg, knocking it down.
At the corridor's end, Gray, Havock, and the lost members of Eta-11 were visible.
Apollo-3 and Wolf ran toward them. As they moved, tendrils burst from the floor attempting to grab them. Ukulele severed them with his axe {Helmet cam destroyed}. One tendril ripped off Ukulele’s left arm, but it turned to sand mid-air. Havock and Ross opened fire, destroying the tendrils.
SCP-8967 rose again, uninjured. Ukulele and the team ran toward the storage sector while Ross and Havock held the rear, opening fire.
SCP-8967 charged Havock, knocking him into a pile of crates. Ross fired into its face, which had no effect, until Havock used octokinesis, allowing bullets to pierce its eye. A black fluid gushed from the back of its head, flowing upward to the ceiling. Crimson eyes appeared on the fluid.
The walls, floor, and ceiling began converging toward the center. SCP-8967’s many eyes focused on Havock, his pulse and camera both ceased.
(Ross’s cam is briefly cut out before showing him lying on his back. The area turned into a fleshy red substance. Darkness engulfed the feed. Bone-crunching and guttural sounds followed. Camera and signal failed. Ross’s vitals flatlined.)
Remaining squad cameras showed static as they entered the storage sector. All feeds cut moments later.
<End Log>
Note 1: Confirmed KIA Capt. Ross, Havock, and Mallory. Eta-11 members Rosy and John were recovered; survival and location confirmed.
Note 2: Two hours after losing contact, Wolf’s cam and transmitter reactivated, showing him standing with surviving squad members and personnel, including several Class-E individuals like Yaro. The transmitter broadcast repeated messages regarding their location and need for assistance, with reports of multiple injuries.
Note 3: The Overseer Council has been informed. Site Command and Nu-7 have been authorized to send reinforcements to Site-77’s exterior zone. A larger Nu-7 battalion and Italian GOC detachment have been deployed. The Council has permitted SCP-8967’s termination if it escapes. This is to be considered a last resort.

<Begin Log>
T-5 Irantu: We have comms. Site Command, do you read us?
Site Command: Affirmative. You have 35 seconds until landing.
T-5 Onru: How dangerous is this mission?
T-5 Irantu: We're dealing with a Class-4 manipulator and other anomalies. Omega-12 couldn’t handle it.
T-5 Onru: Understood. Sounds interesting.
T-5 Irantu: Team, check your optics and filters. No problems with infohazards or anything like that, understood?
T-5 Munru: All good here.
T-5 Onru: Same.
T-5 Nanku: Likewise.
T-5 Irantu: Good. Remember our objective. If you see a threat, make sure it dies.
T-5 Munru: With pleasure.
T-5 Nanku: As always.
T-5 Irantu: Main goal is evacuation of survivors and SCP-8967 termination. If you see it, use everything you’ve got. No restraints.
T-5 Munru: That’s what I like to hear.
Site Command: 10 seconds to landing.
Site Command: Tau-5, you are cleared to begin operation.
T-5 Irantu: Let’s roll.
Tau-5 entered through a breach created by Nu-7, moving into Site-77's directive complex. The team activated their shoulder-mounted lamps, illuminating the surroundings. Soon they encountered a blown-out area from an explosion, with remains of a crab-like humanoid.
T-5 Nanku: Interesting.
T-5 Munru: Not really, it might’ve been alive.
T-5 Irantu: Keep moving. We need to go deeper.
After a long march, the team reached a gate separating the directive complex from the rest of the facility. Munru forced it open after other methods failed.
T-5 Onru: I could handle this.
T-5 Munru: Time.
T-5 Irantu: Understood. Moving on.
They passed through long corridors toward the containment wing, encountering numerous personnel corpses, faces unrecognizable, IDs missing. They pressed on, reaching a sealed breach gate. Onru opened it, and they proceeded into the containment zone.
They passed storage for SCP-039 and SCP-2600; none seemed compromised. Further along, they spotted two unidentified individuals mid-conversation. The team hid nearby to listen.
ClassE1: I still don’t get why we listen to him.
ClassE2: Dude wiped out security and looks like some eldritch horror.
ClassE1: Yeah, but he acts like a child.
ClassE2: He killed a dozen of us because someone hurt some bitch.
ClassE1: Shut the hell up! He’s got ears everywhere.
ClassE2: What? He’ll kill me for insulting some chick?
ClassE1: Probably not. But you never know.
ClassE2: Whatever. Let’s just do what he said and get it over with.
ClassE1: Still don’t get why we can’t use what’s behind those gates.
ClassE2: Because it’s dangerous?
ClassE1: Don’t give me that. Most of that stuff’s safer than we are.
ClassE2: He said no. So we don’t question it.
The voices faded, The team resumed movement.
Later they encountered a monolith made of what seemed to be the same stone as the floor, covered in runes. SCRAMBLE blocked most of the symbols. Nanku confirmed they were occult in origin.
At a corridor’s end, they faced a flat black wall. Their lights vanished into it.
T-5 Nanku: Curious.
T-5 Irantu: Map says there’s still 48m left.
T-5 Onru: Spatial warping?
T-5 Nanku: More like a gateway.
T-5 Irantu: Understood. Munru, assist.
(Munru nods)
Munru put his hand through the wall without issue. He pulled it back unscathed. The team proceeded through.
Camera feed cut briefly, then resumed. Inside was a massive room with multiple hallways leading to it. At the center ceiling hovered a humanoid figure wreathed in black, starry mist. Nearby, E-class personnel stood with a monstrous oversized wolf with black prosthetic limbs. Steel-sealed doors with occult glyphs lined the chamber.
Across from Tau-5 stood an open gate labeled SCP-8967 CHAMBER with another black wall within.
The room fell silent as all eyes turned to Tau-5. Munru and Onru advanced. The wolf charged Munru, pinning him. E-personnel scattered, some drawing looted firearms and opening fire. Irantu returned fire with his wrist cannon, disintegrating several hostiles. Munru punched the wolf with his gauntlet, tearing muscle and skin. Nanku fired her mortar, illuminating the chamber; as the wolf got shot and then collapsed, missing part of its torso.
The hovering humanoid expanded its shroud, absorbing E-classes. Tau-5’s glyphs shielded them. Irantu activated his Scranton Anchor, slamming it into the anomaly. A dark red light filled the chamber; reality stabilized. All enemies vanished, only Tau-5 remained.
T-5 Irantu: No readings.
T-5 Nanku: Anchor may have been too late.
T-5 Munru: I have contact.
All looked toward Munru, who stood near survivors, recognized as Theodor Anderson, Shirley Gillespie, Aurora and others.
T-5 Munru: Targets found.
Munru approached.
Theodor Anderson: Jesus, they sent Tau-5? It’s that bad then.
T-5 Irantu: That’s debatable.
T-5 Nanku: Do we evacuate them?
T-5 Irantu: Yes. (To Munru) Escort them to Nu-7, in one piece, then return.
T-5 Munru: (Nods)
Munru and survivors exit the place.
The rest of Tau-5 surveyed the dusty chamber. Irantu checked his map, and lit the path where the black wall once was. He and Nanku demolished it, behind it, a corridor descended downward.
After traversing the ruined area, past decomposed bodies identified as Level 3 security staff, they entered the storage hall. Bodies littered the space, humanoids with pale skin, eyeless, with sharp teeth and claws. A wall bore a black liquid-written word: [DATA EXPUNGED]. SCRAMBLE blocked the hazard.
Farther on, the corridor widened unnaturally. The walls stretched like human skin. A pile of corpses and weapons lay in the center, confirmed as nearly the entire E-class roster from Site-77 was here. All were mutilated.
At the supposed last hide spot, a gate, once the final defense, now stood torn apart. Screeches and metal-tearing echoed ahead. Onru’s systems detected instability.
T-5 Irantu: Site Command, we are entering. Possible termination phase beginning.
Site Command: Acknowledged. Proceed.
They advanced. The deeper they went, the more the corridor distorted. Cognitohazards and auditory threats assaulted them, SCRAMBLE systems strained. The team used their Reality Anchors, temporarily stabilizing reality.
Ahead, corpses of MTF and personnel hung by their torsos. In the center, atop two Omega-12 Operators, sat SCP-8967. Irantu aimed, but the entity vanished, reappearing to smash him into a wall. Before it could strike again, Nanku shot it in the head. Its head exploded, then reformed as grotesque pulp, sprouting crimson-black eyes and mouths.
A red tongue emerged blade-tipped. Its arms turned into blades and whips. Its chest emitted red light, dripping black fluid. It struck Tau-5. Their glyphs protected them as they fired laser cannons, tearing but not stopping it.
Irantu was pinned, his armor breached. Blades dug in, ripping flesh. Then, the ceiling, once shrouded in darkness collapsed, temporarily crushing the entity and freeing survivors.
Munru descended with a flamethrower, unleashing a storm of fire on SCP-8967’s back. Hansel roared in pain as he sank into the ground. Munru took position in the center of the room as members of Ω-12 moved in to assist. Ukulele and Gray managed to pull SCP-8967 off the wall it had been moving through. As it emerged from within, a projectile fired by Nanku struck it in the back. The entity let out a roar as its head visibly began reverting to a normal form. Then it turned, and a bright blue light hit Nanku. Moments later, the upper half of her body above the hips disappeared, and her legs collapsed lifelessly to the floor.
T-5 Irantu: We lost one.
T-5 Onru: Initiating personnel evacuation. You need to hold it off.
Ω-12 Wolf: Roger that.
Wolf fired a flare into Hansel's eye, temporarily blinding it. Ukulele could be seen helping one of the researchers to stand, but was moments later impaled by a pillar emerging from the floor. In his final act, he managed to throw the researcher aside, saving his life. Onru picked up the researcher, and with the rest of the survivors as well as Apollo-3 and Eta-11, began fleeing toward the emergency exit.
Meanwhile, the entity, noticing the fleeing personnel, attempted to pursue its previous targets, but was intercepted by a powerful strike from Munru, who shattered its left leg with a blow from his gauntlet. He then grabbed its head and twisted, snapping its neck. This briefly halted the entity, but the impact caused the complete destruction of Munru’s right hand.
At the same moment, he was impaled by three four-meter pillars that pierced his body. With his only free hand, Munru activated a Scranton Reality Anchor directly in the entity’s face. A high-pitched screech was heard as a cloud of fire from Gray’s flamethrower sprayed across the entity’s body. Moments later, Gray himself was thrown aside by Ukulele, who, with a gaping wound in his chest, picked up the flamethrower and launched himself into the entity’s body with an explosive charge.
Irantu’s camera captured him throwing himself over Gray along with Wolf, shielding him as the explosion engulfed their bodies.
Munru’s camera recorded the explosion that devastated the surroundings. He saw the utterly destroyed body of SCP-8967 transform into a white figure, which imploded five seconds later. At that moment, the cameras of every operator in the unit lost signal.

Note 1: The following unit operators have been declared KIA:
Eta-11: Samuel / Mike
Omega-12: Mallory / Hovack / Ukulele
Apollo-3: Ross / Lorrey
Tau-5: Irantu / Munru / Nanku
Note 2: Onru successfully evacuated surviving personnel and task force members to a secure location, sustaining only minor injuries from the shockwave.
Note 3: The underground explosion destroyed a large portion of the site, breaching it into the external zone. This resulted in the escape of numerous SCP, which was later contained by Nu-7 operators. The explosion phenomenon was visible up to 5 kilometers away and illuminated the night sky for a full minute. The event was recorded by a civilian camera, later the individual was apprehended and administered amnestics by Gamma-5 operators,
(See mission file site77-5.jpg)
Note 4: SCP-8967 has been classified as Decommissioned pending confirmation of its destruction.
Note 5: Site-77 and its surrounding area have been placed under lockdown. The Overseer Council has ordered the temporary relocation of all SCP entities housed at the site to nearby facilities.
Note 6: Several SCP entities have been marked as missing or terminated. An investigation is ongoing.
Note 7: Class-E personnel Yaro and the individual altered by SCP-4447 have been hospitalized. An investigation has been launched due to changes in the anomalous nature of both the E-class subject and the being identified as "Deaviant I Daukaar." This case has been taken over for full inquiry by O5-VII.

E-11 Rosy (John): It’s hard to explain in a way that makes sense. (Coughs) I’m still getting used to speech and this body. I think I felt like I was drowning, but not in water filling my lungs, more like warmth spreading through my body.
Agent Rose: Did you lose consciousness during the process?
E-11 Rosy (John): I don’t think so. I’d rather describe it as… (Pause) like I subconsciously left my body, and then the warmth came.
Agent Rose: Did you see anything?
E-11 Rosy (John): No, just darkness or rather, a void.
E-11 John (Rosy) points to their neck, indicating airflow moving from their chest upward.
Agent Rose: Alright, I won’t keep you any longer. Do you have anything else to add?

Ω-12 Wolf: Agent Bartek K., callsign Wolf.
Agent Rose: Good. Can you describe the events that occurred at Site-77?
Ω-12 Wolf: I’ll try. The place itself wasn’t particularly special, except for the Hume level fluctuating from 20 to 119 points. We experienced numerous perception distortions. The entities we encountered didn’t originate from our reality, probably summoned by SCP-8967. Honestly, when I stood before it, it felt like my head was about to explode. Being that close felt like a nail was being screwed into my brain.
Agent Rose: Would you describe it as a divine being or a powerful reality bender?
Ω-12 Wolf: Definitely not from our reality. It shouldn’t be here. I’d call it a primordial evil, but the explosion at the end felt like warmth, like its opposite.

[BEGIN LOG]
Agent Rose: Name?
T-5 Irantu: I am Irantu, Team Lead of Mobile Task Force Tau-5 Samsara.
Agent Rose: Great, Can you describe what happened during your mission?
T-5 Irantu: Of course, We entered Site-77. Together we cleared the area before reaching the containment zone, where we encountered Class-E personnel. They were successfully terminated later, as were other anomalies. After that, Munru escorted the personnel to Nu-7. In the meantime, we proceeded into the warehouse, encountered a cognitohazard, and then executed SCP-8967 as per mission parameters.
Agent Rose: Are you aware that your sudden actions endangered personnel lives?
T-5 Irantu: Yes, but the objective was accomplished.
Agent Rose: Sure, but I don’t understand the rash decision-making.
T-5 Irantu: I decline. All of my actions were within protocol and mission scope. (Pause)
Is that all?
Agent Rose: Yes.

Mission Debrief: SCP-8967 Extraction
Subject: SCP-8967
Notes: Below is a short audio transcript of an interview conducted by Doctor Aztur at Site-06-2 regarding the events at Site-77 and around SCP-8967. The information in this file is unverified and subject to further analysis. For the full file, contact the Anomalous Entity Engagement Division at Site-169.
[BEGIN LOG]
Aztur “SnowNight”: Please state your name for the record.
Aurora: Aurora Bolock.
Aztur “SnowNight”: Can you tell me about your relationship with SCP-8967, known as Hansel? Do you have a hypothesis on why it breached containment and went on a rampage?
Aurora: I think he saw me as a friend, maybe more. When he found me, he told me to evacuate. He even helped me escape for a while, but I refused. Eventually, He took me to where others were. He wasn’t hostile, provided food and protection. He said it needed time to think but didn’t explain further. I think the site’s directive is what caused Hansel’s actions. Instead of limiting his freedom and punishing him for his internal struggles, if someone had helped him, if the Foundation had tried to help him wouldn’t have come to this.
Aztur “SnowNight”: I understand and I agree with you, but we can’t undo what’s happened, but I promise we won’t let it happen again. Do you want to add anything or continue?
Aurora: No, that’s all I wanted to say.

[BEGIN LOG]
Aztur “SnowNight”: Please state your name for the record.
Darvin Cambell: Darvin Cambell.
Aztur “SnowNight”: How would you define what Hansel was struggling with? Was it depression, an identity crisis, or something else?
Darvin Cambell: Calling it a crisis doesn’t quite fit. He had trouble understanding his identity. He told me and others about his mixed origins. He claimed he was an object of worship.
Aztur “SnowNight”: A god?
Darvin Cambell: He referred to himself as an heir. He said he was born millions of years ago during a great war in the void. He spoke names of deities in a language unknown to me. He said he was born of his mother’s evil and his father’s primordial chaos, meant to seal their alliance.
(Pause) He also spoke of a being meant to cleanse his soul and free him from his cruel parents’ influence.
Aztur “SnowNight”: So it was his birthright’s fault?
Darvin Cambell: That’s what he believed. He often said: “His eyes are scarlet, his soul dark, but the mind and body created by the one who loved.”
