Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be housed within a hermetically sealed containment chamber measuring 5m x 5m x 5m, constructed with electromagnetic shielding designed to suppress anomalous emissions. Environmental conditions within the chamber must be meticulously maintained at a constant temperature of 15°C and relative humidity below 30%, minimizing SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects.
Personnel accessing SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber are required to wear full-body protective gear, including opaque visors and sound-dampening headsets, to mitigate exposure to its auditory emissions and visual anomalies. Interaction is restricted to Class-D personnel under direct supervision and with prior authorization from Level 4 personnel.
Bonded individuals, designated SCP-XXXX-A must be immediately quarantined for observation. SCP-XXXX-A instances progressing to Stage 3 transformation are to be terminated to prevent further tissue propagation.
Any gelatinous mass that does form after the Stage 3 transformation, designated SCP-XXXX-B, is to remain within SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber. Extraction or interference with SCP-XXXX-B is strictly prohibited following Incident XXXX-B-1, in which an attempted retrieval resulted in the anomalous disintegration of personnel. SCP-XXXX must be allowed to absorb SCP-XXXX-B without interruption to avoid further escalation of anomalous effects.
Tears generated by SCP-XXXX during absorption events, designated SCP-XXX-C, must be collected with non-absorbent instruments and secured in luminescence-neutral containers for detailed analysis.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a quadrupedal entity measuring 0.5 meters in length, bearing a superficial resemblance to a hairless rabbit. Its body is enveloped in a translucent, bioluminescent membrane, and its eyes—substantially larger than those of a typical rabbit—are pitch black, incapable of blinking, and feature faint, star-like points of light. SCP-XXXX emits a consistent low-frequency hum, often described by personnel as calming.
SCP-XXXX exhibits no hostile behavior and actively seeks close physical proximity to humans. However, extended interaction with SCP-XXXX induces anomalous effects in individuals, who are subsequently designated as SCP-XXXX-A. Prolonged exposure will eventually progress into a SCP-XXX-C Instance.

Biological Analysis: SCP-XXXX exhibits no cellular structure or DNA, distinguishing it entirely from known terrestrial organisms. Its bioluminescent tissue is composed of a complex, non-carbon-based matrix, incorporating unknown isotopes and crystalline formations at a subatomic level. These structures exhibit properties inconsistent with organic or inorganic matter, defying conventional biochemical categorization. Spectrographic analysis suggests that its molecular architecture may be designed to conduct or store energy. Despite its anomalous composition, SCP-XXXX’s tissue demonstrates remarkable stability, with no signs of degradation, replication, or metabolic processes typically associated with living organisms.
Analysis of the tears has identified a distinctive chemical composition, including non-terrestrial isotopes, and intricate geometric patterns resembling star maps. Researchers hypothesize that these patterns may encode fragments of SCP-XXXX’s species’ history or perhaps serve as a form of communication.
Biological Changes in SCP-XXXX-A: SCP-XXXX-A instances experience a progressive replacement of their cellular structure with SCP-XXXX’s bioluminescent tissue. The transformation occurs in the following stages:
Stage 1: The eyes darken to a pitch-black hue, exhibiting faint, star-like luminescence.
Stage 2: Translucent, glowing patches begin to form on the skin, radiating faint bioluminescence.
Stage 3: The subject collapses into a gelatinous, luminescent mass, designated SCP-XXXX-B, identical in composition to SCP-XXXX’s tissue. SCP-XXX instinctively absorbs SCP-XXXX-B over the course of several minutes, incorporating it into its own structure.
Despite the expected increase in mass, SCP-XXXX does not increase in size or weight during during this process. Whilst absorbing, SCP-XXXX produces milky-white tears from its eyes and appears despondent. Following absorption, SCP-XXXX enters a temporary inactive state, ceasing all movement and vocalization.
Addendum 1: Discovery
SCP-XXXX was recovered from a remote village in [REDACTED] following reports of "a fallen star" and the unexplained disappearances of several residents. Foundation agents secured SCP-XXXX without resistance, though multiple villagers were discovered in advanced stages of its anomalous transformation.
The entity displayed no aggressive behavior during retrieval, instead exhibiting signs of distress characterized by erratic vocalizations and restless movement. SCP-XXXX was transported to Site-[REDACTED] for containment and further study.
