SCP-XXXX.

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a reinforced steel chamber measuring 10 meters by 10 meters at Site-93’s Heavy Containment Zone. The walls of the containment chamber must be lined with lead to prevent accidental exposure to SCP-XXXX's cognitohazardous effect. Access to SCP-XXXX is strictly restricted to Level 4 personnel and requires approval from the Site Director. Under no circumstances should personnel enter SCP-XXXX's chamber without appropriate protective measures.

Description:

SCP-XXXX appears as a humanoid statue of a female figure with large wings, constructed from an unknown stone-like material. SCP-XXXX possesses a cognitohazardous effect that only manifests when observed within the same room it occupies.

When a person gazes at SCP-XXXX while inside its containment chamber, they will experience an immediate paralysis in the physical realm. Mentally, however, the individual will become trapped in an endless, surreal loop of the room they were in when they made eye contact with SCP-XXXX. This mental imprisonment persists until the subject's eventual death.

SCP-XXXX demonstrates an anomalous ability to quickly relocate to another room if it senses no observers within its current location. This ability allows SCP-XXXX to breach containment whenever its chamber's doors are opened, potentially causing hazardous situations if not closely monitored.

Studies on the brains of individuals who have died due to SCP-XXXX's cognitohazardous effect reveal perplexing anomalies. Despite their physical demise, brain scans suggest that the subjects' consciousness remains stuck in an unending loop of the room they were last in before being exposed to SCP-XXXX.

Addendum XXXX-1: Incident Report

On ██/██/20██, during a routine containment inspection, SCP-XXXX breached containment when the chamber's doors were opened for maintenance. The chamber was found empty, and security personnel immediately initiated a search operation.

Approximately ██ minutes after the breach, a security team located Junior Researcher ████ paralyzed within the containment chamber adjacent to SCP-XXXX's cell. Attempts to move Junior Researcher ████ proved futile, as they remained completely immobilized. It became apparent that Junior Researcher ████ had made direct eye contact with SCP-XXXX during the breach, trapping their consciousness in the loop.

Efforts to safely extract Junior Researcher ████ were initiated, and additional containment protocols were implemented to prevent further breaches.

Addendum XXXX-2: Experiment Log

Experiment XXXX-01:
Subject: D-7532
Procedure: D-7532 was equipped with a specialized headset designed to block visual contact with the rest of the room while looking at SCP-XXXX.
Result: D-7532 remained unaffected by SCP-XXXX's cognitohazardous effect and experienced no paralysis or mental looping.
Notes: The experiment confirms that the cognitohazardous effect only manifests when observing the room, instead of the SCP itself.

Experiment XXXX-02:
Subject: D-8765
Procedure: D-8765 was instructed to observe SCP-XXXX while inside its containment chamber and then exit the room before the doors closed.
Result: D-8765 successfully exited the room before SCP-XXXX could trigger its anomalous effect, remaining unharmed.
Notes: Timely exit from SCP-XXXX's chamber appears to prevent the entity from affecting the person.

Conclusion:

SCP-XXXX's cognitohazardous nature poses significant risks to personnel and requires strict containment protocols. Use of specialized equipment to block direct visual observation and swift exits from SCP-XXXX's chamber are effective in mitigating its anomalous effects. Further research is necessary to comprehend the full extent of SCP-XXXX's capabilities and the nature of the loop experienced by affected individuals after death.
